My stay at Ureshino Onsen Yoshidaya Uchiroji Hondori (also known as Yadoya Uchiroji Hondori) was a tale of two extremes in the charming hot spring town of Ureshino, Saga Prefecture. The hotel was modern Japanese-style with smart check-in system. The twin room was spacious, impeccably clean, and exude serene comfort, making it a perfect retreat. The private onsen facilities truly shine— It was a free slot with 40 mins, which could be booked once via QR Code at the room. Ureshino's famous sodium-rich hot springs, renowned as one of Japan's top three for beautifying the skin, deliver silky-smooth water that leaves you feeling rejuvenated. However, the meal plan was a major letdown. I sent an email to the hotel to confirm my booking and stated I did not eat beef before. The customer service replied I had to pay extra per person in order to change the meat option. For over JPY 38,000 per night including breakfast and dinner, we anticipated premium kaiseki cuisine or traditional served Japanese dinner set. Instead, only a bento box with cold salad and an underwhelming beef and egg pie that felt mismatched for the price. Tragically, my husband experienced vomiting shortly after, likely food-related, which overshadowed our trip. And the breakfast was also disappointing, which was only cold sandwiches with a cup of tea or milk. Thus, I strongly recommend the hotel clearly states the exact contents of dinner and breakfast plans on booking sites—including detailed menus or photos—and offers flexible options, such as plan changes or alternatives, if guests fall ill from the food. This transparency and adaptability would greatly enhance the experience and prevent frustration.

I recently stayed at Hotel R9 and had a pleasant experience, giving it an overall rating of 4 out of 5. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for short stays like overnight visits. The unique concept of individual container rooms at Hotel R9 adds a touch of novelty to the experience. While the rooms may not be spacious enough for two males sharing a double room, they are still comfortable for couples. I found the rooms to be clean and well-maintained, earning a perfect 5 out of 5 for cleanliness. Although Hotel R9 lacks fancy facilities like hot spring pools, swimming pools, and saunas, it does provide a convenient laundry room. This is particularly useful for solo and family travelers on a long trip but with a short stay at the hotel. Additionally, the hotel offers the option to soak in a hot water bath, which is especially rejuvenating when feeling tired. In terms of facilities, Hotel R9 falls slightly short with a rating of 3 out of 5. However, considering its focus on providing a comfortable and unique stay, the overall experience compensates for the limited facilities. The hotel's location is excellent, receiving a perfect 5 out of 5 rating when driving. As for the service, while it was generally good, there is room for improvement, leading to a rating of 4 out of 5. In conclusion, Hotel R9 is a great choice for travelers seeking a short, convenient stay. With its clean rooms, excellent location for drivers, and a range of practical amenities, it offers a pleasant experience overall.

The twin room is big and spacious. Can walk. The hot springs of the hotel next door on the first floor are few people from 4 to 5 pm every day, soak it tightly. Although there are not many things for breakfast, the rice is delicious with fried fish and thick egg roast. The service is also very kind. The location is behind the station and it is very convenient to travel. Free drinks are provided in the restaurant at 2 pm. Stayed for three nights and was satisfied.

This was my second stay, and it was even better than the first! Last time, they only offered a free shuttle from the station, but this time they've added a complimentary bus to the station as well. Both the buffet breakfast and dinner were great and offered excellent value for money. It's also super close to attractions and bus stops, making it very convenient for getting around.

Ureshino Onsen ♨️ They say your skin feels amazing after a soak, and it truly lives up to its reputation! I'd definitely come back again. This onsen hotel included breakfast and dinner with the booking. We stayed in a two-story villa, which is a bit further from the main building, about a few minutes' walk. If you don't feel like walking, the hotel offers a shuttle service, so the service is excellent. Check-in was naturally quick. The main building has an outdoor bath and various other baths, but since they're not that big, it can be hard to get a spot at night. Our villa had a private onsen, so we could take our time soaking in the room. The kaiseki meals for both breakfast and dinner were also quite good. I'd recommend booking it – we really enjoyed it!

Overall, this hotel is decent. It's conveniently located right below Ureshino Onsen Station, which is a plus. However, the lack of nearby restaurants and convenience stores is quite inconvenient. I'd actually recommend staying in Takeo Onsen instead, as it's a better area. On the bright side, the hotel staff are quite good; they were able to provide some useful information and recommendations, which was nice. Still, there's room for improvement.

The transportation is very convenient, and the breakfast is okay. I stayed there twice. The facilities are indeed quite old, and the rooms are quite small. Two 24-inch beds spread out are difficult to fit, but for the price, it's a good deal. It's non-smoking and relatively clean. The service is also good, and email responses are prompt. The fish restaurant next door is also good and highly recommended!

The service from resort staff is top-notched. The Japanese dinner and breakfast is so unique I haven’t tried anything like this before. Nice green tea hot spring! Always have complimentary high quality tea! Free parking. But dont expect much from the city itself. Very plain residential area around. So it is suggested to stay in resort at night. Friendly reminder: No tattoo for hot spring user. No tattoo stickers provided.

A great hotel with only 16 rooms. We booked 2 rooms, one with an outdoor hot spring facing the sea, and one with a bathtub. We booked a one-night stay with two nights. Dinner included large shrimps with bamboo crabs, especially the crab roe rice, which was very special. The hotel facilities are also good, the rooms are large, and there are rest areas. The only drawback is the transportation, there is no public transportation. We drove by ourselves, and the hotel could also pick us up at the nearest station on the same day.

The room size was decent, plenty of entertainment on Level 1 *some are not free* and a foot bath right in front of the hotel. Put some mosquito repellent, we didn't even get to sit more than 5 mins because of mosquitoes. Loved their dinner buffet. Thanks to the free alcoholic drinks we got to sample a few different types of sake. The food was good and for the breakfast French toast was the best. The dinner buffet timing was only 1.5 hours but it was more than enough for us. The room pricing isn’t cheap but it’s definitely worth the value if you just want to spend a quiet and relaxing evening inside the hotel after visiting some of the attractions around the area.
