It would be very comfortable if you can speak Chinese, Thai, or Lao. The soundproofing of the rooms is not perfect, so perhaps that's why earplugs are included as amenities, which is a unique feature. It's clean and the service is satisfactory. It would have been perfect if the room had a refrigerator and a toilet-shower.
The place is clean room is spavious even in my room equipped with fridge and single washing machine handy for me to do self laundry. The staff doesnot know English but instead understand Mandarin Chinese. The host owner lady is very friendly and will support you with information to local amenities and direction to thr train station or to the local bus station one bonus is they offef free shuttle service to/from Chins-Laos border checkpoint and hotel place. I would recommenf when staying in Boten.
A good hotel in Boten. The onsen was not filled with water, maybe because it was December. The room was new, high-tech and clean. Amazing bed and sleep. The staff could speak a little bit of English, but they tried their best and it all worked out in the end. Free shuttle to the train station.
Clean and nice room, free pickup and drop off at railway station, friendly front desk staffs, near to restaurants and pub.. Will be better if hotel wifi have access to Google/Facebook etc.. Will be back again, thanks..

Excellent location, very brand new hotel, very comfortable to stay, and excellent services, with free clothes washing provided. The manager Lady is very nice and friendly and very helpful. There are free self preparing tea sets and tables with free tea leaves provided too. The hotel provides free transport to the border and the train station. There are many good Chinese restaurants just around the corner, and there is a big supermarket just nearby, and many small groceries shops nearby too.
Très bon rapport qualité prix, grandes chambres propres, literie agréable, un restaurant sur place aurait été apprécié car très peu de restaurants à Muang Sing.
Les extérieurs manquent un peu d'entretien.

Very Good
FFred ConcklinCentrally located just across the Luang Namtha night market. Friendly, efficient and professional staff. Breakfast was included in the room price. Breakfast had 4 different options to choose from rather than having to repeat same thing over again. Fresh and tasty food. There’s a restaurant with a lot of options to choose from. From the most of the dishes we tried, we can recommend all of the options specifically Lao food and pad Thai.
Room was spacious, clean. Good air conditioning, ample hot water but the water pressure at the bathroom seriously need improved. Takes so long to have a simple shower. Comfy big bed with comfortable mattress. Nice comforter too. Loved the interior of the room. There was a feeling like we went back in time. Daily housekeeping. Free water bottles, free toothbrush and soap provided. We liked the outside sitting area with a table and 4 chairs.
We stayed at Zuela for 4 nights. We could get the tickets and help to go to Muang Xai from them too. They book bus, van tickets and tuk tuk service. Overall our stay was comfortable. We are happy we visited Luang Namtha and Zuela guesthouse. We recommend them dearly.
JJazjaes_pediaThe hotel itself is quite good. The rooms are clean and tidy, and overall it is a comfortable place to stay. However, Boten is not really a destination that most people would travel to specifically for tourism, unless you are just passing through or have a particular reason to visit.
The town is heavily influenced by Chinese culture and business activities, which may not appeal to every traveler. During my stay, I even saw a hotel guest spit on the lobby floor, which left a negative impression on me and, to some extent, reflected my overall perception of the local environment.
That said, the hotel does have one major advantage that deserves praise. Since Boten is a very small town, I am not even sure whether there is a reliable taxi or ride-hailing service available, so transportation can be inconvenient for visitors. The hotel provides complimentary shuttle service to and from the train station, which is especially useful for travelers using the China–Laos Railway and saves a lot of hassle.
Overall, if you simply need a comfortable and reliable hotel for an overnight stay or a short stop in Boten, this property is probably one of the better options available in the area.
GGuest UserThis hotel is located in a multi-floor building with other 2 hotels. The hotel area seems isolated and abandoned but that's because Boten, Laos doesn't have many tourists. At first we were scared to even enter the building because the hotel is on a ninth floor or something...in the end, after checking the room, we decided to stay the night. We had a good night's sleep. I would not recommend for a solo traveler. But if you're with a few people, it might be safer to travel to this hotel area.
GGuest UserFacilities: in good condition. No malfunctions. Even if I broke the equipment due to my personal reasons, it was repaired on the same day.
Hygiene: very clean
Environment: good sound insulation, no impact on rest.
Service: satisfactory.
3300486****Stayed for a night on a business trip, the location is not mentioned, because it is too small, there is no city center or city center, downstairs is full of food and play, including the kind you want to play, there is a big supermarket next door, I saw a few bad reviews before, maybe the peers are spoofing, The Lao waiter in the room was very serious. I also tipped. She was not surprised. The front desk service was also very good. The driver was a bit dry and dry. He asked him not to sit at the front desk in the future.
In short, a sentence is worth recommending, rest assured to stay!
MMaznun Omarone of the closest hotels to the border for those entering China, making it a very convenient stop, especially for travelers and bikers. Its strategic location is perfect if you plan to cross the border early or just need a quick rest before continuing your journey.
The hotel is also suitable for motorcycle riders, with easy access and practical facilities nearby. There is a halal restaurant located close to the hotel, which is helpful for Muslim travelers, although options are quite limited.
In addition, there is a laundry shop nearby, making it convenient for long-distance riders or those on extended trips. Overall, Bodhi Hotel is a good and practical choice for a short stay near the border.
GGuest UserThe rooms were good for the price, the only thing that angered me was that I told the service girl twice in the morning in Chinese ” no cleaning, very good”.
She replied ” thanks, no cleaning ” in Chinese.
When I returned in the evening, I found all my personal belongings were moved for cleaning.
I do not like people touching my personal belongings after they have handled garbage and cleaned the toilet.
SskybuttonThe hotel was very clean and the owners are very nice. For example, I had mistakenly left some belongings on a bus the previous day and wasn't able to speak very good Lao to explain at the bus station. After I messaged one of the owners of the hotel on WhatsApp, he went out of his way to drive me to the bus station the next morning, explain my situation to them, and help me successfully get my belongings back. Both owners were extremely kind and hospitable, and I would highly recommend this hotel.
GGuest UserWhenever I visit Boten, this is my go-to place. The rooms are clean and spacious. As a foreigner who doesn't speak Chinese, I communicated with them using Messenger for translation, and they were very responsive and friendly.
GGuest UserLet's start with the positives: the room was clean and tidy, but also completely overpriced. We had booked 3 nights through Trip.com and were told we'd have to switch rooms after two nights because they were fully booked. We were also told we could cancel the last night if we didn't want to stay. We wanted to check out the hotel first and said we'd get back to them. The odd thing was, we were the only guests. We ended up checking out a night early. We were told to cancel via Trip.com, and of course, a cancellation for the last night was not accepted. We also got the feeling they were glad to see us go. The supposed restaurant wasn't even open, so you have to go into the village. Incidentally, another reviewer was also fed the same story about the supposedly fully booked hotel. The breakfast was sufficient and the service was friendly.
