Only stayed one night but the room was clean, and stayed nice and cold. Staff was very friendly and the view of the lake was beautiful.

Room was wonderful. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was lacking in selections. They had prepackaged pastries and no juice.

I really enjoyed my stay. Everyone was very friendly, so were the other guests. Thank you.

The hotel was clean and in a great location for the reason I was in Birmingham. It was near to the event that I was attending. The sink in my room had a stopper that prevented the water from escaping when I did not want it to collect in the sink during activities such as brushing my teeth and washing my face. The water was also cold and took an excessively long time to heat up even a little bit. It was not even lukewarm. Therefore, I checked out and was unable to shower. My son actually took a cold shower on a cold day, one of the coldest that we have had in Alabama in a while. I was also awakened by an emergency message and alarm to vacate the building due to an emergency only to learn later that it was a test. I learned this when the fire truck arrived and I heard an employee apologizing for not calling them to let them know that it was only a test. I only stayed overnight so there was no other opportunity for me to get a better impression. The only reason that I did not give a lower rating for the facilities is because once I reported the issue with the shower and sink, they sent a handy man to the room to make the repairs, but my son was already taking a cold shower at the time since we were scheduled to get back home to meet previously scheduled obligations. The staff person who was checking me out said that she couldn't do anything for me because I booked through a third party. However, she did state that she would refund the money that I paid for parking.

We have been stopping at this hotel every year for the last three years. The location is good for us on the way to Florida. However, this time when we stayed there, the continental breakfast was terrible! The gravy was too thick and too salty. The scrambled eggs were watery. The orange juice was nothing but water. The bananas were close to being rotten. The only thing I ate was a bagel with cream cheese. However, on the positive note, the bed was comfortable and I slept good.  C Walker 10/12/25

The hotel is nice. Not as nice as I thought it would be but its clean. The bathroom could use some updates and some new tile grouting around the tub. But not a bad or gross place. The AC was broken. The chillers were up and down, and no matter what I tried the room temp was getting hotter by the min. When I first checked in the room was 70° F. I set the AC at 67 and 20 min later it was 72°. A few others in the hotel told be they had to be moved to a new room. I did not stay they night, I left at 9pm. Too hot and humid. The staff was amazing and super helpful and understanding. The lady at the front desk deserves a raise. Because the staff was awesome I would consider trying the location again. (After they get the AC fixed)

Close to airport. Needs to provide shuttle buses directly from the airport.
