If you're looking for slippers and a bathrobe in your room, this isn't the place for you. People come to Batad not for fancy hotels, but for the stunning views of the rice terraces. I recommend visiting in April-May when they are lush green. The guesthouse itself is very modest, just like how the locals live: a bed, a small table, and an outlet (you'll need an adapter, but the hosts kindly provided one for free use). The toilet and shower are shared on the floor, rather basic, but hot water is available.

The hotel is okay for a short stay, though there are a few things to keep in mind. The place is a bit old, and it shows in some of the room features. The electrical outlets are the parallel type, so you’ll need to bring an adapter if you plan to charge your devices. The bathroom setup could also use some improvement—the door doesn’t lock, and the shower door doesn’t fully close, which means water can easily spill out and leave the floor wet. We paid a little under ₱2000 for an overnight stay, which already included breakfast. The location is also fairly convenient. If you enjoy walking, Burnham Park is about a kilometer away, and it’s an easy and pleasant walk—we ended up going there on foot ourselves. Overall, it’s not the most modern or polished place, but it works fine if you’re just looking for a simple place to stay for the night.

Very affordable and clean transient in Baguio City! Super sulit ng stay namin dito. Maraming rooms at kumpleto ang amenities—from the living room, bedrooms, hanggang kitchen. Highly recommended lalo na para sa mga big families or groups na naghahanap ng affordable pero spacious na matutuluyan. Napakabait at accommodating din ng owner at housekeeper, kaya mas naging comfortable ang stay namin. May parking space rin para sa mga may private vehicles, which is very convenient. Accessible din ang location dahil karamihan ng tourist attractions ay nasa 10-15 minutes drive lang. Overall, sobrang satisfied kami sa stay namin. Clean, budget-friendly, and worth it. Very welcoming and accomadating! I love the location, may matatambayan ka pa sa labas if you wish to study or just want a place to enjoy the Baguio air. Hindi 'rin madamot sa unan 😅 napaka-daming unan. The location is very convenient especially since I booked this for the purpose of taking ACET (malapit sa testing center ng Ateneo for college entrance exam). Overall napaka linis and napaka ganda 'din ng cr and the whole unit. May heater pa (Baguio nights get extremely cold). Would definitely reccomend! 🩵

This was my first time in Badat Village and I stayed at the Batad Transient House for 5 nights. The view from the hotel was spectacular and the hostel family were all very kind and nice. The food was also very delicious. The owner of the hostel has lived in Japan for his job as a care worker and can speak a little Japanese. He will arrange various tours and massages for you if you ask. The massage was the best and felt so good that it soothed my tired body from all the walking and helped me sleep soundly. If you stay here, please give it a try!! I highly recommend it!! The electric fan was noisy, and the internet required an additional fee per person. There was little to no guest assistance, and you had to help yourself if you needed anything.

Room is spacious and big. Near the Camp John Hay, The Mansion, Wright Park and Botanical garden. Advantage is that in the same building there is a lot of restaurants.

Nice people and clean hostel - well positioned just 10 minutes walk from 'town'. Let the hostel know in advance of your arrival time and date and they'll meet you where the coaches arrive. Keep in mind, impossible to get food after around 9PM in this town - nothing open - including all shops. Zero bars and nightlife open past 9PM or so!
