The butler service was excellent and very responsive. We stayed in both the RV and the tent. My family in the tent said the wind was so strong at night they felt like they were going to be blown away, haha, but the tent was beautiful and still worth experiencing. The breakfast buffet was very good. It's truly impressive to have so many fresh vegetables available in the desert. When we visited, there was a bonfire party and folk music performance, though the butler mentioned it's not held every night. I came here last year and thought this hotel, deep in the desert, was amazing. Unlike other tent hotels that put up a bunch of haphazard things just to attract guests, this one was just a large expanse of clean, simple desert. The environment was elegant and refined, and the experience far exceeded my expectations. I raved about it to my family when I got back. To be honest, this year was a bit disappointing because I noticed they seemed to be setting up amusement rides like carousels. The grounds looked messy and it wasn't as serene as last year. And a carousel in the middle of the desert really feels superfluous... The kids were all busy digging, sandboarding, and socializing. I really hope it doesn't turn into a messy tent hotel. However, the butlers were all very dedicated and provided excellent service, which is something I can't fault.

They added me on WeChat in advance, and all the hotel staff were incredibly enthusiastic. Every detail was meticulously taken care of, from bottled water available everywhere to free laundry and drying facilities, complete with laundry detergent. In the evenings, there were complimentary sweet soups, milk, and pastries. It was so convenient when traveling with a child and ordering extra food. Out of our 9-day trip along the Qinghai-Gansu Loop, this homestay was our family's absolute favorite. It's a place with real heart and soul, where every detail is thoughtfully considered. Even our five-year-old said he'd give this hotel 30 stars! The homestay has a great design aesthetic, and the rooms are spotless, perfectly matching the tastes and ideas of younger travelers. We always bring our own disposable toiletries when we travel, but here, everything was already provided in the room. I also really loved the landlady – she's just one of those people you instantly like, and it was so comfortable interacting with her. From the moment we checked into the homestay in Dunhuang, we had such a positive impression of the city. Even though our stay was brief, it's full of beautiful memories. When we were leaving, she found out my child liked apricots and even gave him some from her own yard, which was incredibly touching. The breakfast offered a wide variety, and it was all very enjoyable. I truly recommend this homestay if you're coming to Dunhuang. We made a mistake choosing this hotel: the word “international” led us to believe it would be better prepared to receive foreign guests, but that was not our experience. That said, the staff’s service was excellent at all times. Although they did not speak English, they consistently made the effort to use translation tools to communicate with us and assist us in the best possible way, which we truly appreciated. The hotel was almost empty. The first breakfast took place in a huge dining area where we were the only guests, which meant the variety was quite limited. There was some Chinese food and a coffee machine, but there were no options commonly expected by international travelers, such as fruit, cereals, yogurt, or bread. That same day, we were informed that the rest of the breakfasts would be delivered directly to our room. The staff made a continuous effort to ensure we felt comfortable with this arrangement, confirming the delivery time with us each day. The room was spacious and comfortable. However, the cleanliness did not match the hotel’s level and price: the carpet had visible stains, and finding a toothpick at the entrance made it clear that cleaning standards were not adequate. In addition, the amount of shampoo and soap provided was extremely limited—again, not consistent with the quality one would expect given the building and overall appearance of the hotel. In summary, we would like to highlight the kindness and dedication of the staff, but we believe the hotel still has important aspects to improve, especially regarding international standards and cleanliness.

Located right at the foot of Danxia Mountain, it's incredibly convenient for visitors to go stargazing after exploring the Danxia landscape. The owner is very welcoming and even helped guests take stunning starry sky photos late at night. The sky was full of stars, and the Milky Way was visible to the naked eye. The yurts are equipped with heaters and fans. The shared bathrooms are quite clean, and there were many foreign guests staying here. Breakfast is a blend of Chinese and Western options, quite plentiful for a B&B, showing the owner's dedication.

Traveling to Dunhuang, we stayed at Courtyard No. 23 for two nights, and the overall experience was fantastic! The room was very clean, and the entire environment is especially suitable for families with children. The courtyard has many fruit trees, including Li Guang apricots and green apples. They also raise goats and bunnies, so kids can feed the pets, and there's a lovely Border Collie too. Sitting on a lounge chair or hammock under the green apple tree, with a gentle breeze blowing, was incredibly relaxing. You can pick apricots to eat while strolling around the courtyard; the owner is very hospitable and encouraged us to eat as much as we liked [Joyful]. There's also a go-kart track, and the kids couldn't stop playing. In the morning, we had breakfast at a large wooden table under the apricot tree, enjoying delicious lamb soup noodles with coarse grains. Looking at the blue sky and the rustling poplars in the wind, we are so grateful to the guesthouse for adding such beauty to our trip. The staff were warm, thoughtful, and attentive. I truly recommend this courtyard for anyone visiting Dunhuang!

I was instantly thrilled with the retouched photos just 5 minutes after the shoot, and even more delighted to learn they'd spend another three days on meticulous post-processing. The terrace above the lobby offers a fantastic photo op, especially with the red canopy against the desert backdrop – it's truly magnificent and a unique scene. 4. Given how dry Dunhuang is, the hotel thoughtfully provided complimentary face masks and lotion. 5. They also offered a free transfer to my next hotel.

This was easily one of the most memorable stays during our trip to China. The camp is located right beside the stunning desert, offering breathtaking sunrise and sunset views. What impressed us most was how many activities were included for free. We enjoyed unlimited sandboarding on the dunes, a camel riding experience, and even had the chance to ride off-road motorcycles in the desert. Everything was well organized and suitable even for first-time visitors. The traditional Dunhuang-style dinner was delicious and gave us a great opportunity to experience local flavors. In the evening, we watched a wonderful bonfire party with live performances, and the spectacular molten iron fireworks show was absolutely amazing—something we had never seen before. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The tents were comfortable, clean, and surprisingly well equipped considering the desert location.
