This was the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to China! Li Bo welcomed us upon arrival and made our check-in experience truly exceptional. He showed us several room options, helped us choose the one we liked best, and even treated us to delicious coffee. Despite the language barrier, he went above and beyond by communicating with us through a translator. He shared recommendations for local attractions, helped us order food, and even drove us to several locations around Zhangjiajie. His kindness, hospitality, and willingness to help made this the most welcoming hotel experience I have ever had! If you are planning a trip to Zhangjiajie, I highly recommend staying at this hotel. Zhangjiajie East Gate Boutique B&B | 50 Meters from Scenic Area Entrance, Unparalleled Service, You Won't Want to Leave! For this trip to Zhangjiajie, we spent the first two nights enjoying a slow pace on the west side, then moved to the Guanzhi S B&B near the East Gate for the next two nights. This B&B positions itself as a boutique hotel, not just a regular guesthouse. From the moment you step in, you know it's something special – an artist's entrance, with an artistic atmosphere permeating every corner. The details are meticulously crafted. Many guests here are international tourists and discerning travelers who appreciate quality. It's no exaggeration to say this is the most thoughtful and attentive service I've ever experienced. 📍Location: 50 meters from the East Gate, 7-seater shuttle service provided The B&B is about 50 meters from the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, making park access incredibly convenient. However, because it's so close to the scenic area, it's located in a restricted zone. ⚠️ You MUST use Didi (ride-hailing app) to get directly to the B&B's doorstep. Plus, the hotel offers a 7-seater shuttle service, so transportation is a breeze for families. It's also easy to find restaurants after leaving the park, as the area around the East Gate is full of eateries. 🛏️Bathtub King Room: Refined Down to the Details We stayed in a bathtub king room. The room isn't huge but is exquisite in every detail. The bedding is comfortable, and a relaxing soak in the tub at night washes away all the day's fatigue. If you need anything, just scan the QR code by the bed, and it'll be delivered in minutes – a godsend for busy parents! 👶Parents with Kids Rejoice! All These are Free! Forgot kids' toothbrushes, slippers, or shower gel? The B&B has it all; just ask the front desk, and they'll bring it to your room. There's also a 5 sqm kids' play area with a slide, building blocks, and a small rocking horse. 🗻Come for the the amazing views & park proximity, stay for the fantastic service 🚙‼️ 🛏️ The room had a super interesting layout- there was a sauna, a bathtub, and a space for a tea ceremony all rolled into the same room. It was very clean and spacious. 🍴🫧 Free breakfast and they will do your laundry for free as well! Just leave it in the basket outside of your door and it’ll be there washed when you return from whatever mountain. 🚙 THE CAR SERVICE. The hotel offers free airport/train station pickup, they’ll message you through trip.com for your travel details and someone will be waiting at the station to pick you up. They will also arrange a car to take you to whichever destination you choose in the mountain- they’re 10 minutes driving from the East Gate (Bailong Elevator Route if you’re trying to get tickets) or 45 minutes from Tianmen Mountain. They arranged cars for us in the morning both days. ☀️The hotel itself is situated next to some very beautiful mountains. Their staff were very polite and efficient! Our train got in very late (10pm) and through WeChat, we were able to arrange having food prepared for our arrival through the hotel’s restaurant. Thank you again!

We had a great stay in the duplex room at this hotel. The room was lovely. All staff were wonderful and very helpful. Even before we arrived, they were able to help us out with any queries we had for visiting the area. They booked our tickets in advance for Zhangjiajie national park and Tianmen mountain (even though we were moving to another hotel to be nearer Tianmen mountain at the end of our trip). They were also able to provide us with a good itinerary for those visits. They also have a cute family of cats and kittens living on their roof garden at the moment! Would highly recommend staying there.

Hotel is amazing! It’s located in a quiet area with stunning mountain views, while still being convenient, just a short taxi ride or a pleasant walk to the main street of Wulingyuan. I truly enjoyed my stay. The facilities and amenities are excellent, and I had a wonderful spa massage and ear-cleaning treatment in my room. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. They assisted me in planning my three-day trip to Zhangjiajie and even helped book the attractions. Their recommendations were perfect, I was able to enjoy every place without feeling rushed or missing anything. Thank you so much! I also loved the tea shop in the lobby, where I had a delightful tea tasting and traditional tea ceremony. It was such a memorable experience. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

I had an amazing stay at Avatar Mountain Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a peaceful atmosphere and lovely surroundings. What really made our stay exceptional was the staff. They were incredibly attentive, kind, and always willing to help. Our flight was delayed by several hours, meaning we arrived in the early hours of the morning, but they still arranged to pick us up from the airport and were just as helpful when dropping us off later. Their hospitality made a stressful travel day so much easier. Although the hotel is a little outside the city, it was never an issue. Getting a DiDi was quick and affordable, and the staff were always happy to help arrange transportation and make sure we could get wherever we wanted to go without any hassle. Overall, the combination of the beautiful hotel, outstanding service, and convenient transport made for a fantastic stay. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Zhangjiajie!

I highly recommend this hotel! The location is truly exceptional; you can reach the riverside in just a 1-minute walk, which is perfect for morning and evening strolls and enjoying the river views. The room is clean and tidy, the environment is quiet and comfortable, and the service is thoughtful and attentive. Choosing this place for your travels makes everything so easy, and it's great for taking photos too. I've included some real-life pictures, and I'll definitely stay here again next time. The hotel is excellent. It's located just outside the main scenic area, so it's not noisy and very quiet. There's a large, free parking lot nearby, which is very convenient. The hotel's design is great, the rooms are spacious, and they even come with a scenic balcony. All the facilities are complete, and it's clean and hygienic, making for a very comfortable stay. While it's only about a ten-minute walk to the scenic area, the hotel provides a dedicated shuttle service. This means you can enjoy a comfortable stay and save energy exploring the sights. What's more, the hotel group also operates other guesthouses and bars within the scenic area. When you're exploring, you can visit their bar for some great photo opportunities – it's a popular spot for snapping photos of the waterfall, offering a unique perspective from across the river, opposite the official viewing platform. It's definitely worth a visit for some fantastic shots. The bar owner is incredibly enthusiastic too! The hotel had mentioned there wouldn't be a minimum spend and that we'd get complimentary tea and snacks, but the bar owner went above and beyond and even gave us an extra half-dozen beers. We're very grateful for that! The hotel itself also has a hot spring on its sixth-floor rooftop, which is incredibly relaxing after exploring the ancient town. The butler even surprised us with a complimentary bottle of red wine, which was another unexpected bonus. Overall, this hotel is truly excellent, offers fantastic value for money, and is highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful accommodation! The staff was very helpful and assisted us in purchasing tickets for Tianmen Mountain and the National Park. The location is excellent, close to pleasant restaurants and Tianmen Mountain, while the National Park is about a 40-minute drive away (via DiDi). Most importantly: the views from the mountain-facing rooms are breathtaking! It is a wonderful feeling to wake up to such a view!

Hygiene: Clean, tidy, and comfortable. Environment: Great location with a commercial street and snack street downstairs, plus a mall. Tianmen Mountain cable car is right across the street. You can park at the hotel and walk directly to the scenic area. Service: Warm service, and they even offer free ice cream when it's hot. The food tastes good too.
