„Yes, I was able to check in early, which was really helpful. The room was spotless, and there were tea, coffee, and even a biscuit — very impressed. I went to the gym, which was well equipped, even with dumbbells up to 20kg and a bench. The swimming pool and sauna were perfect after my session, and the showers were great quality and very clean. They even had a spinner to dry swimwear. I went for a meal in the restaurant — 10 out of 10. Amazing selection and served straight away. I will definitely be back; for the price, it’s hard to beat. Incredible location as well.”

„Location was perfect, Decor in room requires freshening up, Back of the door and part of facings were fresh painted but not completed. Shower requires cleaning (Black mould just needs Bleaching ) and the plastic seals replaced They were yellowed with age. Staff were Very efficient and Friendly 😀”

„Nous avons été agréablement surpris par la chambre (jolie, très propre et spacieuse). Seul petit bémol pour la douche qui n’est vraiment pas facile à maîtriser (soit très froid, soit très chaud). Les commerces sont juste à quelques minutes de marche donc c’est pratique. Le petit déjeuner était très bon.”

„I always try to stay here on my trips to Inverness. Friendly staff, literally seconds from the train station entrance. Room warm with all the amenities you need and a huge bath with hot water all day. Super comfy bed and fine bed linen. Hotel combines traditional Scottish character, tartan carpets, stag heads that sort of thing, with modern touches, displays of modern art etc. Great lounge to use at reception.”

„Excellent hostel! Great common self-catering facilities; there were two full kitchens with plenty of tables and seating so multiple parties could be cooking at a time. Staff were very helpful and let me leave my bag before check-in and after check-out to accommodate my bus times. The room (4-bunk female dorm) was very spacious so plenty of room for sorting through my bags. Bunk was large and included a USB plug and power outlet there. Room had large attached shower and toilet rooms.”

„The hotel is looking and feeling very tired and dated and in serious need of upgrading.  They’re charging 2025 prices for 1980 standard services.  They clearly cater for bus tours and large parties which are not there to appreciate where they are and their surroundings.  There was serious problem with running hot water in the room as well as in the showers in the spa.  I overheard many guests complaining about no hot water in their rooms at reception.   Breakfast was very disappointing, they offer a continental selection of one type of cold meat and one type of sliced cheese with pan loaf bread!  Fort William boasts artisan bakery’s so no excuse there.  During breakfast very loud 80s movie themed music is blaring, the dining room is so big there’s practically a speaker above every second table.  When asked to turn it down we were met with a standard reply, “I was just asked to turn it up”. Totally unbelievable.  Due to the large parties tables are not cleared fast enough nor cleaned, we had to clean and set our own table before we could eat and this is where we were directed to sit. Waiting staff are clearly not trained nor directed appropriately for a hotel boasting a high standard.  We were not encouraged to dine in the hotel at all. The exterior of the building is not only showing signs of disrepair but is also very dirty. They are missing the B in the main signage and is the first thing you see on arrival.   Positives:  the room was clean although all views from most rooms do not look out onto anything nice.  Temperature of the pool, steam room and jacuzzi excellent.  The lounge bar appeared to have the best atmosphere and felt like a highland hotel. Would I recommend this hotel? Definitely not!   Would I stay there again? Definitely not!”

„I found my one night stay at the Highlander Hotel to be very pleasant. My room was a generous double en suite and was spotless. As a solo traveller on a pedal bike I was pleased that there was a secure shed where I could leave my bike in confidence. The staff were very helpful over this and again when I reported that the tv wasn't receiving a signal. This was sorted very quickly with a new aerial cable. Breakfast was good, with plenty of fresh fruit and a choice of hot dishes. Great value and I'd certainly go back.”

„Hotel jest w dobrej lokalizacji i jest wygodny do odwiedzenia Sky Island. Jednak jest też dość stary. Pokoje nie są duże, a dźwiękoszczelność jest średnia. Ale ogólnie jest dość czysty. Jest używany głównie przez grupy turystyczne.”
