The hotel room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the blackout curtains once closed, the room became completely dark, which made it perfect for a good night’s rest. Even during the daytime, the room stayed wonderfully dark and peaceful. Also got a workout in the gym. However, I was disappointed with one aspect of my stay. Since I had a late flight, I requested a late checkout. Unfortunately, there was ongoing construction noise that made it difficult to rest. The constant sound was quite frustrating and took away from what would have otherwise been a very relaxing experience. Overall, the room itself was excellent, but the noise issue impacted my final impression.

Well hotel is “Oldtimer” and definitely below average ranking visible here in trip.com web. Check in was quick, short walk/drive to designated building. Corridors in the building looks and smells like 1970’s, so initial shock but room was bit better. Old style but ok to sleep one night. Breakfast - same low quality food as any American hotel chain with this price range. Overall I would not come again.

Great value and super convenient location We had a really good stay at Kings Inn! The room was clean and comfortable, and the whole place had a fun retro vibe that made it feel unique. The location is super convenient — just a short drive to all the major attractions in San Diego. Parking was easy, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Definitely a great value for the price. We’d gladly stay here again!

Rooms are nice, hallways a bit sketchy, service is very good.  The elevator system is also sketchy, anyone could come into the hotel and go to any floor they want...  Very odd automated system

Excellent location right next to old Sacramento. We ended up with the cheapest room, which was really small, but it was fine for us. Arrange parking beforehand because their valet seemed expensive.

Super amazing and clean room. Pretty good view too. No complaints. I got a room with 2 beds so being a solo traveler, I loved the huge space. Beds were so comfy I could fall asleep so easily. Location is meh. It's walking distance to the outlets and restaurants (In N Out is the closest one, Krispy Kreme and Buffalo Wings not far). But other than those, not much else. Had to take an Uber everywhere I go. There's bus stop right at the hotel front going to Disneyland but the arrival times are unreliable.

從大樹公園下來很晚了，機場門口，附近很多新建的酒店，這個比較老所以便宜很多，住一晚上是沒問題的，但是周邊走動的閑散人員半夜都有，很是不解機場門口沒什麼居民區為啥這樣。屬於進屋了晚上不要出去散步那種環境，保安還是很負責，會提醒你關房門，反正就是中部谷地這幾個城市治安感覺都不是很好。

Free shuttle to hotel from airport. Though there isn't much restaurants around, but it was a good walking distance to the nearby shops for restaurants and 7-11. Some amenities need to take from counter, like toothbrush, bedroom slippers and also kettle.

It was originally booked for king size bed me and my friend because there is no availability in the website for twin bed but upon arrival in the lobby of the hotel and checking in they offered us if we would like to have twin bed with no extra fee will be added. So amazing and we really did appreciated that. Looking forward to book it again in next trip. Thank you

Rooms are cozy, and the location is convenient but can be busy. At Jasper, the hotel’s restaurant, the yogurt parfait is a fresh and light breakfast option with creamy yogurt, berries, and granola. YYC008Here's why we gave the experience 3 stars; First of all, when we booked the hotel, neither Trip.com nor The Aster, Los Angeles, mentioned anything about the rooftop being closed on the dates we booked. On May 13 and May 14, we stayed in room 3 0 6. The hotel pictures showed and bragged about having a rooftop and plenty of pics of people there, and nowhere was revealed anywhere on their website or Trip.com that would not be available on those dates. When we reached out to Trip.com, they pretty much said that the rooftop amenities weren't listed as part of our package. Really Trip.com? You have to list the rooftop as the amenity... Got it. That was so lame a response. Everyone knows people book due to the pictures, and this was a seriously lame response from the Trip.com customer support personnel. We decided to save our opinion for this review. The Aster had nice people, but it's hard to believe the availability missing on their website is a detail they would miss. Their hotel has impeccable detail and design. One can only surmise they conveniently left out the information because people would obviously not book there and go somewhere else. I told the front receptionist this as we were checking in. She mentioned, well, it said it on *******. But we didn't book through *******, we booked through Trip.com. And those specific details were not evident. After July 1st the Government is getting stricter on transparency with hotels having to mention things so we missed this window, but we're happy to hold hotels like The Aster accountable:-) Also, on Wednesday, we checked out, and they had a fire alarm drill test that lasted about 10 minutes. They forgot to mention another minor ”inconvenience” when we booked on their website. It was at 10 am. It wasn't so bad, but to state the obvious, they left out the ability for customers to decide by not making that information transparent during the booking process. It's not like the fire department or tech people didn't schedule that in advance. 1. If you book through Trip.com, please make sure you specify, call their customer support, and get it in writing. The clickbait and pictures seem shady and sketchy and reflect a lack of credibility in the process. 2. Trip.com asked which room we wanted to be in. When we picked the room, we picked the city-view balcony. But we got put in the poolside view instead. It wasn't bad, but that was missing in the booking details that Trip.com sent to The Aster. My fiance ended up being okay with the poolside view, but it should have been in the booking details via Trip.com. So please, please make sure you watch this if you book through them and call the hotel in advance. Lastly, the decor, valet, and, in general, the service people were very nice and thoughtful. We would give them 5 stars.

DDavGaoMy favorite CitizenM hotel, the experience was as great as always. The downtown area is right downstairs, and even though it's a bit messy, I never felt unsafe. It's also very close to the tram station. Just a heads up, the 'dangerous' tenderloin district isn't too far from here.

KKhadija.Upon check-in, I was asked to pay for the room, which I did. However, I noticed the amount charged was higher than the total from my original booking. I asked the receptionist (I believe his name was Raul, though I’m not entirely sure) why that was. I explained the amount I had been quoted during booking. He then mentioned, almost as an afterthought, that a $150 deposit is taken at check-in. I told him this should have been communicated before processing the payment, as it’s standard practice to inform guests of such charges upfront. While I wasn’t pleased, I went ahead and paid. I also mentioned that I had submitted a request in advance for a room away from the elevator with a good view. He told me the hotel was fully booked, which confused me, since I had booked well in advance and included my request at the time. He assigned me Room 503, which was directly across from the elevator, not away from it. I didn’t want to complain as I had just traveled over 12 hours from London to San Diego and was extremely tired. I planned to grab some dinner and get straight to bed. However, the room was quite noisy—there was a lot of hallway activity, and the family next door had their TV volume quite high. I decided not to go downstairs and complain, hoping I could just fall asleep. Unfortunately, I was woken up around 3 a.m. by a crying child, and again at 5 a.m. At that point, I was extremely frustrated and went to speak to the receptionist on duty, Matthew. I explained everything to him, and he was very understanding. He said there was availability and offered to move me immediately…this was surprising, considering the earlier claim that the hotel was full. He moved me to Room 204. While it wasn’t far from the elevator either, he assured me it would be quieter since there were no large families on that floor. He was right—the room was much more peaceful, and I appreciated his help. At checkout, I saw the same receptionist who had checked me in and decided not to approach him. Instead, I spoke to Antonio at the other desk. I asked about the deposit, and he informed me it would take 2–3 business days to be released. Naturally, I wasn’t thrilled to hear this, especially after the earlier issues, so I shared my entire experience with him. He apologized sincerely and mentioned the initial receptionist may need additional training, which they would look into. Overall, the stay was decent for a short 3-night visit, but the start could have been handled much better.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is convenient, about 800 meters' walk to the Civic Center/UN Plaza metro station, and close to Union Square and Chinatown. However, there are many homeless people in the surrounding streets, which makes the environmental smell a bit strong. Although the room is a bit cramped, it is generally clean and tidy. The blackout curtains are excellent, and there are plenty of power outlets near the desk and bed. The bath towels are very new and pleasant to use. Breakfast is served from 7-10 AM, but the variety is simple.

All the above advantages allow me to tolerate the only disadvantage of zero view from the window. Parking is valet, there is a cvs at the door, and there is a taco that ranks first in the United States within five minutes' walk, which is pretty good, but there is homeless on the roadside

GGuest UserAll of the staff seemed really nice. From the moment we arrived and had a friendly greeting from the valet parking worker, to the ladies that we interacted with in reception. The room was nothing special, but by that I mean it had no outstanding features, or any distinguishable traits that would separate it from other hotels The concierge was friendly and helpful, and was very useful in helping us to plan our activities. And the hotel is in a good location to get to the pier or do the 'big bus' tour. But here's the downside. The gym is small, had no steriliser, or wipes, even though one of the rules stated in the gym is to wipe down the equipment after use. And the overall impression of the gym is that it could do with a really good clean from top to bottom. Added to that there's the washing machine and tumble dryer located in the gym. Yes that's right, in the actual gym. Now we were very happy when we read about the hotel having washing machine facilities, but we were slightly surprised at it's location. Another thing was the air con. We stayed in September and although the weather for the season was just starting to cool down after the summer, it was still fairly warm. The air con looked as if it had been fitted in the seventies and made a sound as if it had been running non stop ever since then. It was so noisy that we had to turn it off completely at night time and at different times during the day. On a final point we received news regarding the death of my partner's daughter, which meant that we had to cut our whole vacation short including this leg of the trip. We informed the front desk that we would be checking out one day early. We were not expecting a refund, for that day, but after being told by the member of staff that the 30 dollar a night 'destination fee' would be waived for the night that we were not going to be there, we later found out that this fee had still been added to the final bill. We still have no idea what a 'destination fee' is, but to be charged it when we weren't even at the hotel was extra galling. And what was also strange was the fact they didn't even ask why it was that we had decided to cut our stay short? Would you not be interested to know whether something was wrong with your customers stay, and to know why they had cut their visit short?? A bit of a poor end to a otherwise 'ok' stay at the hotel.
