The good: - Breakfast was very good! - Room and bed was warm. - hot water shower works almost instantly. - Netflix and Amazon Prime available on the TV. Can be improved: - toilet slide door emited loud screeching sound which was annoying. - poor sound isolation between floors, we stayed on the ground floor and we could hear stomping the whole night. We feedback this to the hotel staff but was just given a “I cannot do anything about it” face and a shoulder shrug which clearly indicated they did not have the intention to do anything about it. - phone in the room was not working, staff had to reboot it as they said it’s a common issue. - the air vent in the bathroom stopped moving after sometime, was told to turn it off and on again to make it work again. - we checked in the same time as another couple at the reception, we overheard that they got a complementary room upgrade from the standard room (same as us). We asked if we would be upgraded as well, staff just told us that it depends on the amount we paid for the room. But clearly we booked the same standard room? Overall: Room rate was on the high side and much was expected but the condition of the room and service were under delivered.

:) Good wifi :) Ample counter space in bathroom and bathtub :) Good powerful Braun hair dryer :) Ample and accessible power outlets in room :) Car park outside apartment, free :) Lift :(( room door number lock is flimsy. Need to make sure your door closed properly. No extra lock on inside. :( all-in-one type of shampoo-shower gel. :( No human service staff. Self service number code entry to Apartment and Room. Hmmm... as long as e-system are not faulty.

Absolutely fantastic location near the multiple active geysers. The included breakfast buffet at the Hotel Geysir is incredible with many choices and high quality food. This is a basic room but a good value considering alternatives and location.

Hotel jest obok hydrauliki, łatwe dojazd do hydrauliki, hygiena jest czysta, ogrzewanie musi być otwarte trochę dłużej, aby wystarczyć. obsługa prania w hotelu wymaga zarezerwowania przed 5:00. Byliśmy późno, nie mogliśmy umyć się. Hotel ma usługę aurora. Ale śniadanie i kolacja są zwyczajne. Może nie jemy białych.

Eins vorweg, das aktuell von Trip.com genutzte Bild zeigt ein anderes Hotel. Das Hotel Skoga hat ein dunkles Schrägdach und ist mittlerweile ziemlich abgewohnt. Dies ist, zusammen mit dem Preis, auch der größte Kritikpunkt. Ein altes Haus mit kleinen Zimmern für diesen Preis anzubieten ist einfach unverschämt, selbst für isländische Verhältnisse. Abgesehen vom Zustand des Gebäudes, den kleinen Zimmern und dem Preis gab es auch nichts auszusetzen, Sauberkeit und Frühstück waren in Ordnung. Für 50€ weniger pro Nacht wäre es vielleicht sogar eine Empfehlung wert, aber nicht unter diesen Umständen.

Das Zimmer war relativ klein mit starker Dachschräge - für eine Nacht ganz i.O. Ein Badezimmer (Dusche+Toilette) für 10 Leute war ein bisschen spärlich. Das Wohnzimmer & Küche waren gut eingerichtet und gross genug um einen geselligen Abend mit den Mitbewohnern zu verbringen.

Love this hotel very much. Except the breathtaking view is true to the pictures online, also the attentive service from the reception and housekeeping. Dinner at the hotel is suggested reserving first(they sent email to remind me to do so) and the food and the waitress is nice. They also have a snack bar and swimsuits for purchase. The room design and color tone is really relaxing and functional. The hot tubs outside is so good not only for photos but also for soothing and relaxing the body. Recommend for staying 1-2 nights here during the whole trip.

A lovely friendly, comfortable hotel on the outskirts of Hvergerdi. Rooms are a good size and comfortable. We don’t get to try the hot tub as we ran out of time. Breakfast is good and the staff friendly. Location is ok..within 40 mins you can be in Reykjavik or in the golden circle route. Vik is about 1.5-2 hours away. Very close to the lava tunnel experience too. There is a Petrol station and some places to eat, shops in the nearby town about 5 mins away
