„We had an amazing stay at this hotel and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The value for money is outstanding—everything you get here easily exceeds the price. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very pleasant to stay in, making it a great place to relax after a long day.

Everything went smoothly from check-in, and the 4th-floor observation deck offers the best view of Sakurajima in all of Kagoshima.

It was a shame that it rained heavily on our first day, but perhaps because of that, we were able to check in earlier than expected, which allowed us to relax comfortably. The complimentary ice cream and ramen were a pleasant surprise. The staff were all very attentive and polite, making for a truly enjoyable holiday. I would definitely love to visit again. Thank you!

BBroDrakeThe facilities are convenient, and the front desk service is excellent. There were a few stains on the carpet, but the location is incredibly convenient. It's very close to the pier, making it easy to get to Sakurajima, Tanegashima, and Yakushima. There's a streetcar stop right outside the hotel, which goes directly to Kagoshima-Chuo Station and Kagoshima Station. Across the street, there's a Lawson and a 7-Eleven. Next door is a long-standing local department store where you can try local food and buy souvenirs. There are many restaurants and late-night eateries around, and Tenmonkan is about a one or two-stop walk or a short streetcar ride away. Overall, it offers great value for money.

We booked the corner room. The room was well illuminated by natural light during the day and we could see the river from our room. At night we could even hear the water flowing. There were two western single beds but we asked for futons for the full Japanese experience and loved it! The room was spacious and clean. There was a bathtub in the bathroom but we used the public bath (male and female separated) which was amazing. The public bath was quiet and spacious and there was a sauna room. Breakfast was served during 7am -830am with a well set table as shown in the picture. The staff was super kind. Just note that the walls were thin and you should expect some noise but people here are generally used to keeping their voice down.
Another highlight is that you can take the bus of both the red and blue lines at the bus stop right in front of the hotel. (The blue line is for Shiratani Unsuikyo.). It is very convenient if you are not driving. The hotel is around 25 mins away from the ferry port and the walk there was pleasant and not difficult to find.
Yet another great thing about this place is that you can rent mountaineering gear here at a cheap price, including shoes and rain protection. We rented the shoes here at 1,xxx yen per person (forgot the exact price) and they were very useful. It was raining for almost the whole 5h hike for us and the shoes offered a good grip and were sufficiently waterproof. You can also find little souvenirs at their shop. Honestly, it's impeccable!

The onsen was a real highlight, beautifully maintained and deeply relaxing, and the view from my room was absolutely spectacular. Although it was whale season while I was there, I did not manage to see any whales this time, but that simply gives me another reason to come back.
If there is one small area for improvement, it would be the dining experience. While the food was perfectly fine, it felt rather ordinary compared with the overall quality and standard of the hotel. A more varied and distinctive selection, particularly at the buffet, would better match the hotel’s otherwise excellent experience.
Overall, a truly lovely stay, and one I would happily recommend.

My stay at Pricia Resort on Yoron Island was a mixed but overall pleasant experience. The location is undeniably stunning — crystal-clear turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and the kind of tropical scenery that makes you feel completely removed from the everyday hustle.
The standout of the entire trip was without a doubt the staff - Tana, Takumi, Hoshi. From check-in to check-out, every team member was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make my stay special. They went above and beyond with local recommendations and were always on hand with a smile. Breakfast is great with lots of choices on buffet. There is also all day lounge to get free drinks and nuts.
The resort itself has real charm and a wonderful atmosphere, but it’s clear that the facilities are showing their age. Several areas would benefit significantly from renovation — from the rooms to the common areas, a refresh would bring the physical experience in line with the exceptional service and natural beauty surrounding it.
That said, if you’re looking for a peaceful island escape with a welcoming team and breathtaking scenery, Pricia Resort still delivers. With some investment in the property, this could easily be one of the best resort experiences in southern Japan.
Recommended for: nature lovers, snorkeling enthusiasts, and travelers seeking an off-the-beaten-path Japanese island escape. A must visit - Yurigahama Beach! Uninhabited place and this is the iconic beach of Yoron.

OorenjiiiIt is advisable that you have a car as it is a bit far from the main road. Also, it would be better to avail the breakfast and dinner in the hotel due to hotel's location and there is no nearby convenience store from the hotel. Breakfast is a set meal and at the same time they have buffet style for the drinks, rice, etc.
The room is spacious for 2 and the price for it is reasonable.
The hotel staff are very approachable and some of them could speak/ understand English. They are also very accommodating to our requests.
Overall, staying here in this hotel is worth the money.

It turned out to be one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, making it an incredible value for money. By chance, at breakfast, I ended up sitting next to the same staff member (a student working part-time) who had checked me in the previous night. She taught me a lot about current events in Kagoshima, which was really interesting. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Kagoshima!

The moment I opened the door, I was truly amazed – a huge floor-to-ceiling window directly overlooked Sakurajima volcano! Whether it was watching the volcano faintly appear through the morning mist or admiring the city lights come alive in the evening, this view was absolutely breathtaking. The room's interior design was modern and simple with excellent natural light. Staying in such a spacious environment by myself instantly lifted my spirits.

As someone meticulous about details, the hotel's cleanliness put me completely at ease; every corner was spotless.
- Gym: The equipment was new and comprehensive. Running on the treadmill while enjoying the view outside made the workout feel effortless.

This was definitely the biggest bonus of my stay! The hotel has its own natural onsen, which is a savior for travelers who have been walking all day.

Sitting on the wooden steps, soaking your feet in the warm spring water, and looking up at the indoor garden scenery – the feeling of relaxation is truly indescribable. You get to enjoy the healing benefits of the onsen without any awkwardness, offering maximum privacy!

草草泥马不是马When getting in the room, there is a musty smell that might be from the carpet but after turn on the purifier and run for hours the smell is gone. The hotel bed is comfortable, although the room is small but the toilet size is big enough. The location is also convenient as it is in front of the train and bus station, the airport bus just drop off besides the hotel. When depart back to the airport, you just need to go down to level 1 for the bus ticket and bus. There is also a lawson downstairs, and there are a few restaurant on the lg floor which is not part of the hotel. The hotel even have adapter when to borrow as I forget mine. I forgot to put up the “do not disturb” sign on the door, house keeping come in to clean and tidy the bed, change the towel but very thoughtful as they did not move any of my stuff that are on the table as I might feel very uncomfortable if stuff is moved. The tv is working quite well, youtube all are working fine. Amenities are sufficient too, the toothbrush is so nice and I like the scrubbing towel they offer. There is also free umbrella provided that must return after use. The hotel even have a nice view on the reception floor which you can see the volcano from there.
