Location of the hotel is great. I came from Hiroshima. The journey is very long. I stayed 3 nights here. Breakfast was kinda okay, they have alot of spread. I paid for 1 x breakfast at 3300 yen. Personally i feel the price can be lower. Afew items to highlights were Tempura prawn, mentaiko, corn soup, soba and grilled beef. They have welcome drink (tea/coffee/soft drinks) for certain hours. Topup 1000 yen you can get unlimited alcohol. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the station. And also they have 2 properties . Next to each other. There’s 6 laudry machines. A sky pool, sauna and indoor bath (onsen). I can see the hotel emphasis/uses alot of technology . Your door card can be paid for many things (laundry and vending machine) including partner restaurants outside the hotels. Where you can charge the expenses to your room. There’s a touch pad in the room, for you go control lighting, air conditioning , check hotel information and even control the TV. The only downside is the touchpad is very bright. It takes too long for it to go into idle mode. The cast and mirroring was lagging for me. As for the wifi, i find it weird that it only allows in my room. I had not as for the hotel wide wifi, not sure if there’s one. The room wifi was okay. The pool on the roof was great . You can see almost the whole beppu. Sadly I did not take photos of it. It was very chill . I would definitely stay here again just for the pool and onsen. The room clothes hangers were kinda little. There’s only 4 of them. The ice machine is at L2 inbetween the fitness center and the laundry. I would like to suggest to relocate it. As it is located directly next to the smoking room. And both times I am there to collect the ice with the cup provided, I almost out of breath from the cigarette. The Washing machine had locking mechanism on it, so other guests would not take your clothes. Select checkout was brilliant, they have 2 counters for it. I ate a breakfast, did 2 laundry and one vending machine. It was calculated perfectly. The staff at the reception were very helpful . Overall the stay was good! Will stay again if I am in Beppu. A quiet business class hotel located just meters outside the JR Beppu station, within close walking distance of day use onsen, shopping, and dining. While it's true they are adjacent to the elevated rail, in practice this isn't really a problem for all but the most sensitive travellers because of frequency and limited use at night.

Niedawno zostałem w Beppu Hatto Onyado Nono i to było niesamowite doświadczenie od początku do końca. Jedną z pierwszych rzeczy, które zauważysz, gdy wchodzisz do hotelu, jest to, że musisz zdjąć buty przed wejściem do środka. Są tu szafki do butów przed lobbym. Nawet rolki bagażu muszą być czyste istnieje specjalna powierzchnia dywanu, gdzie można rolować bagaż, aby oczyścić koła przed wejściem. To mała szczegółowa detalizacja, ale pokazuje, jak ostrożnie hotel utrzymywa czystość przestrzeni. Cały hotel jest pokryty tami podłogami, co tworzy bardzo relaksujący i tradycyjny japoński atmosferę. Jest to dość interesująca koncepcja nowoczesnego hotelu i sprawia, że pobyt czuje się wyjątkowy. Położenie jest doskonałe, zaledwie około 100 metrów od stacji Beppu, a także znajduje się przystanek autobusowy bezpośrednio przed hotelem, co sprawia, że transport jest bardzo wygodny. Hotel jest szczególnie znany z jego onsen obiektów położonych na górnym piętrze. Są trzy łazienki publiczne na zewnątrz i kryte, a także siedem łazienek prywatnych dostępnych dla gości, którzy wolą bardziej prywatności lub nie są wygodne korzystając z łazienek publicznych. Możesz sprawdzić dostępność prywatnych łaźni poprzez telewizor w swoim pokoju, ale w moim doświadczeniu jest łatwiej iść bezpośrednio i oczekować tam, jeśli chcesz je używać. Kolejnym miłym dotykiem jest pochlebne dania dla gości. Po cieszyć się onsen w nocy, można mieć darmowe lody, a rano jest dostępny darmowy Yakut. Później w nocy hotel oferuje również darmowy ramen jako przekąskę, która jest wielkim bonusem. Ogólnie, miałem wspaniały pobyt i z pewnością wybrałbym ten hotel ponownie, jeśli w przyszłości odwiedzę Beppu.

Strategic location, the hotel is about 700-800m from the train station. In Japan it’s known to have a small bed for hotel, but it’s a pleasant surprise to note the bed is bigger than the “norm”. Very comfortable. In the winter/cold temperature, the centralise airconds were all “set” to heater. When we made a “complain” on the stuff/warm room, they are kind to offer a stand fan to put in our room. A big thumb ups for the buffet, a good spread, clean and delicious.

Reviews often mention dust - this is true, unfortunately. Perhaps the reason is that the rooms are cleaned by old people, and they simply do not have time to do everything. When entering the room, we felt stuffy smell of dusty carpets. I took a rag and wiped all the carpets from dust to make it fresher. It is also inconvenient that the dryer in the laundry room does not dry things after washing even in two drying cycles. If you load a full tank, keep this in mind. We had to hang things all over the room. The reusable indoor slippers were torn. Apart from this, everything is fine. The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the station along the main street - easy to find. On the first floor you can take necessary amenities of high quality for free. The room with two beds is small, the suitcase can only be opened close to the door.

I had a great time at Kannawaen with my family recently! We booked 2 rooms at Superior Japanese Western Room With Open Air Bath, with breakfast option. Parking was easy and spacious, everyone at the hotel was very kind and professional, room was very nice, clean, warm with nice views. I don't have much complaints except for check-out was done through a machinery method and the hotel only had one machine at the check-out area. FYI they also had employees who could speak English, which was great for forigners!

I stayed in Beppu for 4 nights, trying different onsens at different hotels.Tsuruta was my last Beppu hotel. Although the room i stayed in is rather dated and items worn out, all necessary equipment are working very well, i stayed at a newer 4.5 star hotel prior and the air-conditioner, hair dryer and toilet exhaust were noisy and faulty, while in the older Tsuruta where everything works well! This don't judge a book by its cover, older hotels is just as good! I've attached a photo of the park and harbour view from my room at Tsuruta.

A lovely relaxing hotel right on the Beppu beach road. There was a definite air of old seaside town about the place and it was very chill - the onsen in the hotel itself was very nice and wasn't at all busy when we were there. The breakfast however did get quite crowded with tour groups so going down later worked the best for us - if you had to go in peak time there was often a queue. The room was compact but very comfortable and had all the things needed for a comfy stay. Staff were lovely and the japanese pj's provided we're a nice touch. Fantastic location for traveling around beppu as well as arriving from Fukuoka and leaving to Oita airport. The hotel is right next to both bus stops.

Walking distance within 5 mins to JR or bus station . Very convenient with lot of restaurant nearby . Plan ur trip without hassle for logistic . U wan JR , just 5 min , u wan main bus terminal , just 5 min . Am definitely will stay again if i revisit beppu again . Last a full skincare regime for free at lobby . Least ur hassle to bring all . Remember if u stay here no need to bring ur skin care ya .

Room and onsen were good - clean, spacious, lovely view and not crowded. The food for breakfast and dinner average, not Wow type and same menu for our 2 night stay. A big mall nearby but close early 10am to 7pm. The hotel is popular with Japanese, ********* and Koreans but luckily the onsen though only one each indoor and outdoor, was not crowded so can go several time in a day and good amenities provided in the Onsen washing area. Will want to visit again Soon!
