This hotel has a more classic and vintage-style room design, but the space was decent and everything was very clean. One lovely feature is the small chapel in the hotel lobby, which seems to be used for weddings—it added a warm and charming touch. The scenery right next to the hotel is also beautiful, making the overall stay quite pleasant.
Tiny room with an old and very small Queensize (??) bed. Everything seems to be really old, so does the dust in the corners of the room or of the ventilation in the bathroom.
Service was okay... we could convince them to leave our bicycles outside the hotel entrance (no way to leave them at the ”luggage storage” inside the lobby).
Drinks like coffee, hot chocolate, tea and soft drinks are for free. Microwave free. Also they have a bath house but no sauna for the girls - unfortunately.
Best option in town.
Exceptional Onsen Experience and Delicious Breakfast
My recent stay at this hotel in Japan was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and attended to every detail with genuine hospitality. The highlight of my trip was undoubtedly the exquisite onsen bath house. Nestled amidst serene surroundings, the onsen offered the perfect blend of relaxation and rejuvenation. The facilities were immaculately clean, the water temperature was just right, and the tranquil atmosphere allowed me to truly unwind after a day of exploring.
Each morning began with their amazing breakfast spread, featuring a wonderful selection of both Western and Japanese dishes. The quality and freshness of the ingredients were outstanding, and the presentation was as beautiful as the flavours were delicious. From freshly brewed coffee to traditional miso soup, every meal was a delightful start to the day.
The rooms were spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was impressive, making my experience truly memorable.
I wholeheartedly give this hotel a five-star rating and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Japan. Whether you’re seeking a relaxing getaway, a cultural experience, or just a fantastic place to stay, this hotel exceeds expectations in every way.
Room is clean and new
Balcony so comfortable for morning breeze
Large deluxe room
A bit tight for standard twins
Western Breakfast is nicer than jap
24 hour supermarket nearby
Convenient shopping
The hotel had a very good location which is just next to the JR station. The room is very clean and has a good view. Staff at the reception are very attentive and helpful. Breakfast is a buffet style with excellent food. But it would be better if dessert or some fruit could be served too. Anyway the breakfast was very good.
We chose to stay here because hotels in Fukuoka were very expensive, and since we had the JR Pass, this location right beside the Tosu station was super convenient. The room was very clean, and the facilities were great — especially the included breakfast! It was a wonderful chance to try local Japanese dishes, and I really enjoyed it. The breakfast starts as early as 6:30am, which was very thoughtful — I still remember rushing to catch the 6:50am train to Fukuoka after eating, and I even had 5 minutes to spare, haha!
Staff were friendly and helpful, though English communication was a bit more limited — probably because it’s not a major station area. Still, everyone had a great attitude and tried their best. Overall, a very satisfying stay!
This is a sauna resort, where you could have access to the sauna and then have some food at the lounge after a whole day's work.
The rooms are traditional Japanese-style beds and design, with a little balcony looking at the ocean view.
For the breakfast buffet, I am extremely satisfied, where the cleanliness and hygiene are very good, and the food taste is also delicious. It is an international style buffet, having different kinds of food from different countries, but the resort still insisted on keeping the Japanese corner, in which it is my very first time to try out such a high-quality Japanese standard breakfast in my whole lifetime, and I would say it is really amazing and worth coming again!!
Old but good. Business hotel, convenient ! Nice smell! But curtain is so bright not completely dark, should offer eve cover mask.

Very Good
SSealionMy stay at Ureshino Onsen Yoshidaya Uchiroji Hondori (also known as Yadoya Uchiroji Hondori) was a tale of two extremes in the charming hot spring town of Ureshino, Saga Prefecture.
The hotel was modern Japanese-style with smart check-in system. The twin room was spacious, impeccably clean, and exude serene comfort, making it a perfect retreat. The private onsen facilities truly shine— It was a free slot with 40 mins, which could be booked once via QR Code at the room. Ureshino's famous sodium-rich hot springs, renowned as one of Japan's top three for beautifying the skin, deliver silky-smooth water that leaves you feeling rejuvenated.
However, the meal plan was a major letdown. I sent an email to the hotel to confirm my booking and stated I did not eat beef before. The customer service replied I had to pay extra per person in order to change the meat option. For over JPY 38,000 per night including breakfast and dinner, we anticipated premium kaiseki cuisine or traditional served Japanese dinner set. Instead, only a bento box with cold salad and an underwhelming beef and egg pie that felt mismatched for the price. Tragically, my husband experienced vomiting shortly after, likely food-related, which overshadowed our trip. And the breakfast was also disappointing, which was only cold sandwiches with a cup of tea or milk.
Thus, I strongly recommend the hotel clearly states the exact contents of dinner and breakfast plans on booking sites—including detailed menus or photos—and offers flexible options, such as plan changes or alternatives, if guests fall ill from the food. This transparency and adaptability would greatly enhance the experience and prevent frustration.
QQingqingshenghuofangshiThe twin room is big and spacious. Can walk. The hot springs of the hotel next door on the first floor are few people from 4 to 5 pm every day, soak it tightly. Although there are not many things for breakfast, the rice is delicious with fried fish and thick egg roast. The service is also very kind. The location is behind the station and it is very convenient to travel. Free drinks are provided in the restaurant at 2 pm. Stayed for three nights and was satisfied.
RRyan79The hotel located nearby higashi Karatsu station, and provides shuttle services (need to contact/book earlier) for return trips to the train station.
Located just beside the river, the room has amazing view overlooking the river and bridges.
Onsen is good but I wish there is outdoor onsen that can see the amzing sunset.
Staff all very friendly and helpful.
高高達先生Ureshino Onsen ♨️ They say your skin feels amazing after a soak, and it truly lives up to its reputation! I'd definitely come back again. This onsen hotel included breakfast and dinner with the booking. We stayed in a two-story villa, which is a bit further from the main building, about a few minutes' walk. If you don't feel like walking, the hotel offers a shuttle service, so the service is excellent. Check-in was naturally quick. The main building has an outdoor bath and various other baths, but since they're not that big, it can be hard to get a spot at night. Our villa had a private onsen, so we could take our time soaking in the room. The kaiseki meals for both breakfast and dinner were also quite good. I'd recommend booking it – we really enjoyed it!
舒舒扬ShuyangOverall, this hotel is decent. It's conveniently located right below Ureshino Onsen Station, which is a plus. However, the lack of nearby restaurants and convenience stores is quite inconvenient. I'd actually recommend staying in Takeo Onsen instead, as it's a better area. On the bright side, the hotel staff are quite good; they were able to provide some useful information and recommendations, which was nice. Still, there's room for improvement.
MM362352****The transportation is very convenient, and the breakfast is okay. I stayed there twice. The facilities are indeed quite old, and the rooms are quite small. Two 24-inch beds spread out are difficult to fit, but for the price, it's a good deal. It's non-smoking and relatively clean. The service is also good, and email responses are prompt. The fish restaurant next door is also good and highly recommended!
LLebalemaA great hotel with only 16 rooms. We booked 2 rooms, one with an outdoor hot spring facing the sea, and one with a bathtub. We booked a one-night stay with two nights. Dinner included large shrimps with bamboo crabs, especially the crab roe rice, which was very special.
The hotel facilities are also good, the rooms are large, and there are rest areas.
The only drawback is the transportation, there is no public transportation. We drove by ourselves, and the hotel could also pick us up at the nearest station on the same day.
玩玩转星球-KevinFor this price, including two meals, I think this hotel offers excellent value for money. The room size is decent, and being able to enjoy the hot springs is a real bonus. Honestly, there's nothing to complain about. Plus, the hotel even offers free parking in advance.
The room itself was pretty standard for a Japanese-style hotel, so I didn't bother taking any photos.
Dinner was a buffet with a huge variety of dishes. The photos only show a small selection of what I chose; the actual spread was much more extensive.
__WeChat294643****The Japanese-style rooms aren't ideal for older people; you have to change shoes before entering the hotel and there's a seating arrangement in the room. The view is absolutely stunning; you can enjoy views of Karatsu Castle from the room, especially the beautiful night view. The service is also very good; they can communicate in English.
