cannot recommend this accommodation enough! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the spotless presentation and cozy atmosphere. The location was absolutely perfect—close to everything but still peaceful at night. Our host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even providing thoughtful local tips. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep after long days of exploring. If you are looking for a hassle-free, relaxing, and wonderful place to stay, look no further. We are already planning our return visit. Thank you for a memorable trip!

As the hotel is not circled around lunch and restaurants I would’ve appreciated better opening hours and more lunch options in the cafe at the hotel. Seems like it as a hotel mainly for partnering firms where they was served food all day but for the rest of us it was a bit off.
Great view that I had been looking forward to but after a booking mistake I ended up in a street view and the wheelchair adapted rooms. I got annoyed by every service request was followed by a charge: checking in 30 min early - charge. Changing room to a regular room - charge. Changing room to a sea view - charge. I’m used to more flexibility…
Stayed at Scandic Helsinki Aviapolis, a convenient airport hotel near Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Overall, it was a good stay, ideal for transit travelers and short visits.
The hotel is just a few minutes from the airport, with a free shuttle service running every 20–30 minutes. It is also within walking distance of Aviapolis train station (about 15 minutes), making it easy to reach Helsinki city center. A major plus is the Jumbo Shopping Mall nearby, offering a variety of restaurants, shops, and a grocery store—perfect for those needing last-minute essentials or an alternative dining option.
The room was clean, modern, and functional, featuring comfortable bedding, a work desk, and a well-maintained bathroom with a walk-in shower and essential toiletries.
The breakfast buffet starts at 6 AM, offering a great selection of fresh bread, cold cuts, hot dishes, and Finnish specialties. For those with super early flights, a light breakfast is available from 4 AM.
Due to time constraints - I briefly checked out the gym and sauna in the basement which appeared well-maintained.
The staff was friendly and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth. The overall atmosphere is modern and practical, making it a great choice for travelers catching an early flight or needing a short, comfortable stay near the airport.
Great big room with big bed. Very comfortable bathroom. The only problem was the toilet, not flashing the water immediately. But service was awesome they would transfer me to another room if I would like to. So overall good stay 5-10 mins walk to the terminal. But everything is very well marked.
This is a modern Finnish hotel. The location and facilities are terrific, very convenient to the metro, bus lines and the tram. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The airport is a short distance away by transit.
Plus:
The room is very nice size, very clean and near the railway station.
The reception is very friendly and helpful
Minus:
They claim my booking does not include breakfast but I did book with breakfast. So I have to contact Trip.com to sort this out. Waste of time.
No kettle in the room. I requested for one and they say EUR5, but they waived the charge. It’s nice but then why is it so difficult to have a kettle?
The soap dispenser is filled with hair conditioner! I told the receptionist. He is super nice and gave me a small travel size for the night first. Super kind. Next morning, they changed but this time again they filled in the wrong bottles haha. I gave up.
The breakfast is very nice, good variety and quality.
Hotel is lovely and the room is spacious and very clean. It’s very close to Helsinki city centre, about 15 minutes and just across the river. Buffet breakfast is delicious and fresh with plenty of options. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and in particular, the lovely lady in the kitchen is always smiling, warm, cheerful and greets everyone good morning on arrival for breakfast. It really makes a difference to the start of the day. If you don’t have a lot of luggage and arrive by train from the airport, this hotel is a short 15 minutes from from Helsinki Central station. Otherwise there is a train stop underground just a little to the left of the hotel and tram stop right in front of the hotel which is currently under renovations.
I’m so glad I chose this hotel in the last minute. The staff are very friendly, the room is clean, new and fresh; and the bed and pillows are very comfy. They have extensive range of breakfast, even gluten free and dairy free smoothies. Sauna is super nice and clean, and free! But what surprised me the most (very nice surprise) is they have the mini shower/bidet in the toilet 👍😀
Excellent location and right next to a large mall / train station, one stop away from city centre. Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Excellent buffet breakfast!
Fantastyczny

Great
GGuest UserFantastic location and a very comfortable hotel. Excellent service. My only complaint was having to pay 25 euros to use the sauna during the day so we didn't - think at the price we paid for the room it should have been included, but otherwise perfect. The breakfast options were unbelievable.
FFantastic13Overall, my recent stay with Bob W was disappointing.
I booked the 4-person penthouse room primarily for the use of the sauna on my last day of the trip.
Firstly, pin code provided was only valid for door access to the stairs, not door to the elevator side at night. This became a significant inconvenience, especially for a female traveler like myself who arrived at night after a tiring flight. Having to carry a 20kg luggage and a 10kg carry-on up five flights of stairs was both physically demanding and frustrating. Clear arrangements on how to access the elevator at night should have been considered for guest.
Secondly, check-in process was not clearly communicated, causing panic upon arrival. Unfortunately, I had to seek help from customer service on a third-party booking site and reach out via email to obtain a check-in link, which added unnecessary stress and confusion.
Furthermore, instruction for turning on the sauna were unclear, and I was unable to enjoy it until the next morning at 8am, just few hours before my checkout time. I had specifically chosen the penthouse room with the sauna for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. due to the lack of clear instructions, and had to seek assistance to figure out how to operate it properly, which ate into the limited time I had available to enjoy the amenity.
In conclusion, my stay with Bob W fell short of my expectations. The limited time to enjoy the amenities, issues during the check-in process and accessing the elevator, made for a less than satisfactory experience. I hope that Bob W seriously takes feedback into consideration and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a more enjoyable stay for travelers in the future. Thank you
GGuest UserLocation, Hotel, room, and breakfast were all quite good. Unfortunately we didn't have time to go to the sauna and to the gym.
Our stay was good.
Warning : don't use the shoes cleaning polishing machine in the lobby it badly scratched my brand new shoes and the staff didn't give a damn about it.
GGuest UserI used it on a solo trip. It was for one person, but I was able to spend comfortably in a room with a very wide 々.
It's far from the center, so it takes a little time to return to the hotel during sightseeing, but it's very close to the tram station and I think the transportation is good. There was a street light even at night, and I didn't feel that scared. Also, I'm glad I was able to have a sauna for free!
AAlannuoConveniently located, the lobby is spacious and well-decorated – a rare find in Europe. The breakfast was excellent and offered a great variety. The hotel has many rooms, and the hallways can be a bit winding. Our room was clean, with a stylish and minimalist design. There was an issue with the bathtub drain cover, making it impossible to shower while standing inside. Luckily, there was ample space and a drain next to the sink, so we managed to shower there for both nights.
GGuest UserThis hotel is a lifesaver for layovers! The location is incredibly convenient for getting around, and the room was spotless, tidy, and quiet. It's well-equipped with comfortable bedding. Absolutely fantastic value for money, the price is affordable, and the service is attentive. My top choice for a transit stay, super satisfied!
GGuest UserThe hotel location is great, very close to the shopping mall, and there's a bus stop right outside, making transportation very convenient. Our room was in the old building, so we had to go to the 3rd floor, walk through a corridor, and then take an old-fashioned elevator up to our room floor. The room itself was clean and tidy, and there was a kettle, but no bottled water provided.
AAnonymous UserDecent hotel in a good location. Shopping mall attached with some good food options.
Breakfast at the hotel was passable. Nothing fancy.
To have a kettle in your room you must pay an extra $20 a night. Which we found so odd. We just ended up buying coffee from the mall.
The smell that comes from the bathroom was horrendous. Make sure you keep the bathroom door closed
VVinharound Travel Outlook⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Stay at Scandic Paasi – Clean, Stylish, and Comfortable
Our group of friends from Vietnam had a very pleasant stay at Scandic Paasi during our recent trip to Helsinki. Overall, the hotel was beautiful, clean, and offered very good quality for the price.
The rooms were modern, well-designed, and spotless. Beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and well-maintained, and everything felt neat and thoughtfully arranged. After long days exploring the city, it was a great place to rest and recharge.
We also loved the hotel’s unique design and cozy atmosphere—it felt modern but still warm and welcoming. The common areas were spacious and nicely decorated, perfect for relaxing or chatting together as a group.
The location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and key attractions in Helsinki. Breakfast was another highlight: good variety, fresh ingredients, and a nice Scandinavian touch that our group really enjoyed.
Overall, Scandic Paasi delivered exactly what we were looking for: a clean, comfortable, and high-quality hotel experience. We would definitely recommend it to friends and would happily stay here again on our next visit to Helsinki.
OOrMaryVery nice and welcoming staff! Nice wait staff in the restaurant too. Nice little room. Would definitely come back! The wellness area was a bit pricey for an add on but really nice and chill when quiet! I just would have liked a staff member there to manage noise and groups as I wanted to go on my last night but it was very overcrowded with loud intimidating groups. The location was pretty good, out of the centre but very accessible by tram.
