I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, making it easy to get around, and the room was spotlessly clean and spacious.
What truly stood out was the exceptional service; the staff were incredibly professional and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit!

Excellent luxury hotel strategically located in Yokohama. Beautiful rooms overlooking the bay and amusement park. Rooms are renovated and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Parking at the mall zone A is closest to the hotel and overnight parking is 2100 Yen pay at front desk for exit ticket.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and would happily recommend it. The location is convenient, making it easy to get around and access nearby amenities. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with thoughtful details that made the stay relaxing.
The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help, which really made a difference. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which allowed for a good night’s rest.
Overall, this hotel offers great value for money and a comfortable experience. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

l'd like to highlight the exceptional service from the front desk staff NAGISA was incredibly friendly, professional .
Another front desk associate, a taller man who was very tricky. Let me signing up for your new membership when we check-in on the evening of January 25th。
The location is absolutely perfect—it was convenient for everything I had planned, and I couldn't have asked for a better base to explore the city.

This hotel is located right above the Shin Yokohama station and stores including BIC Camera, Uniqlo, Loft and many more.
The reception is at level 10, and the rooms are located above. It can be challenging if you are scared of height.
One thing that was annoying is the power plug. They have it built in the table but my converter didn’t fit. I’m sure there are many other people having similar problems.
Great service staff and excellent breakfast options. About a 12 min walk from the nearest train station but surrounded by eateries and a mall. The gym at the hotel was amazing!

The hotel is pretty standard, nothing fancy. The room was on the smaller side. Check-in is on the top floor. It's quite affordable, offering good value for money. There's a parking lot next door that costs 3000 JPY per day, just remember to register at the front desk first. Having a 7-Eleven on the first floor was really convenient though.
Location is good. Hotel is linked to the shopping centre which can lead to the train station. As the Hotel is very close to the train station, we thought it would be noisy and have brought ear plugs but didn't need them. The room was spacious, quiet and clean. Washing machine in the room comes in handy.
Hard to comment on service as we have almost no interrection with the staff except for communication on luggage storage and collection on the first day. Check-in was done ourselves via a machine including completion of details and scanning of passports (a staff was standing by and ready to help if we have problem doing the self service check-in). Hotel cards were dispersed by the machine upon successful check-in. Check-out was completed in the room using their TV app. That said, hotel staff we encountered were polite. The only issue we noted is on the housekeeping. The rule requires us to place the housekeeping card outside the door by 11am if we want room cleaning. One would expect no knocking on door enquiring whether we want room cleaning before this time but apparently that was not the case.
Overall, it was a good and comfortable stay.

Service and cleanliness is top notch.
Location is slightly inconvenient since there is not train station nearby.
Parking is not 24hours for self parking. Only limited to valet parking at 2000yen/day with operating hours from 9AM-8PM, outside of these hours you cannot collect your car if you would like to go out, or you cannot park within the hotel carpark, you can only park at the nearest outdoor public paying carpark nearby (with no cap on the maximum charges per night).
Breakfast is not a true buffet spread. It is a selection of 1 main course / pax, with fruit juice, cereals, selection of breads, and salads as the buffet. Main course portion is rather small, so do take note if you're a heavy eater for breakfast.

Great
JJinjingToday, under a beautiful sky, I arrived in the seaside city of Yokohama and checked into the InterContinental Yokohama Grand. Although the hotel shows its age a bit, the lobby is spacious, bright, and grand. The room facilities are complete, and the bedding is soft and comfortable. Outside the window, I could see the Ferris wheel and amusement park, with skyscrapers towering nearby. The breakfast offered a rich variety, and the night view was spectacular. Overall, Yokohama gave me a strong sense of the future!
TTls_The room was very spacious, and apart from skincare products, all other amenities were well-provided. The wet/dry separation in the bathroom was also a nice touch. The ocean view room was absolutely stunning, and we even got to see the fireworks display for Yokohama Port's opening season at night. The only downside was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy.
The front desk service was excellent; they could communicate in Chinese, English, and Japanese, and they also offered free luggage storage. Very satisfied overall!
シシュウさんI flew from Hokkaido to Haneda for an overnight stay, with an early morning flight the next day. So, I didn't get to use many of the hotel's facilities. However, there's one thing that truly stood out: the free shuttle bus service to and from the airport and Kawasaki Station. It ran perfectly on schedule, exactly as published, and the drivers were incredibly polite, professional, and even helped with luggage. The instructions for taking the shuttle on the hotel's website were also very accurate. Upon check-in, the front desk provides a boarding pass; make sure to keep it with you, as you'll need to show it to the driver whether you're going to Kawasaki Station or the airport. Besides catching the shuttle on time from the designated spot at T2 upon arrival, I also took a ride to Kawasaki Station after checking in. From Kawasaki Station, I took the JR to Ueno Park, which cost 440 yen one way, passing through famous stations like Shinagawa, Tokyo Station, and Akihabara along the way. In the evening, I returned to Kawasaki Station and caught the last shuttle back to the hotel exactly at 10:45 PM. The next morning, I took the first shuttle of the day from the hotel to the airport at 5:20 AM, again, perfectly on time. This kind of reliability is incredibly important for travelers. Next time, I'll definitely plan to stay for a few more days. A big thank you to all the hotel bus drivers! 🌹
MMahdiMNPure perfection in the hills of Hakone
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Indigo Hotel Hakone is simply a beautiful hotel. From the moment you arrive, the design, ambiance, and attention to detail impress; modern elegance that blends seamlessly with nature.
Everything is spotless. The cleanliness throughout the property is impeccable, but the real standout is the bed. I mean it is ultra comfortable. I slept better here than I have in months. The perfect firmness, quality linens, just heaven.
And the food? Uber delicious. Breakfast and dinner alike were stunning — beautifully presented, full of local flavor, and every bite memorable.
The staff are more than helpful! They were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. They went out of their way to assist with everything from onsen etiquette to transport advice.
To top it off, the surrounding is peaceful and serene. Tucked away in the mountains with forest views and fresh air, the perfect escape from Tokyo or Kyoto.
Highly recommend. Worth every penny.
CCerellaWhen checking in, the hotel will explain the tourist route of Hakone. It's a no-brainer to check in and just follow the map provided by the hotel.
The service exceeded my expectations. I felt like a princess returning home during my stay. I thought this was the standard Japanese service. But later I stayed in other hotels and found that the service of Gora Kadan is far better than other hotels of the same price.
The room is a bit old and the shower is also very old, but it is cleaned quite well.
AAnonymous UserHotel is located at the quieter side of Yokohama (compared to staying near the JR station)- good for light sleepers and is 500-metres from Chinatown.
Grateful for the upgrade in the room category! We also enjoyed the complimentary Nespresso coffee on L1 and L7 lounge and were able to use the laundromat (¥400/session for washer and ¥100/30mins for the dryer).
Only issue was there is no parking facilities at the vicinity and guests are recommended to park at the Osanbashi Pier terminal which is a 10-15min walk away. Parking charges as of May 2026: Max ¥1500 for weekday and ¥2000 for weekends. Nevertheless the train station is just right below the hotel.
GGuest UserOverall I had a good stay and the location of the hotel is very convenient. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly.
However, there were a few small things that could be improved. I noticed a dark stain on the bed when I checked in, which was a bit disappointing. Also, the room did not provide bottled mineral water. I understand the hotel promotes filtered water, but personally I still prefer having bottled water available.
For the laundry facilities, the machines are cashless but they do not accept credit card payments. The online payment system also seems to mainly support users from China and Taiwan. It might be helpful if the hotel could consider installing a coin exchange machine to make it more convenient for other international guests.
Breakfast was decent, but it would be nice to see a bit more variety in the options.
Overall still a pleasant stay.
NNadia BadminovaVery good service for an affordable price. I stayed two nights in female dormitory, the bed is spacious even the top one,I was provided with towels and a kimono-style robe, which was very comfortable. There are two private onsens in the inn, you can reserve any of them the day before. Also, there is a small kitchen with cooks, you can order a breakfast and a dinnir a la carte, which is very convenient. The only downside is that you have to bring the luggage uphill when checking in, but it is not a problem when checking out because there is a free transfer provided each morning to the Gora station.
GGuest UserWe enjoyed the rather spacious room and the view of rolling hills. With large beds and a tatami room, it felt rather luxurious. The entire place has an 80s vibe, but good thing we liked the nostalgia it brought for us.
The room was quick clean too. Only that the outside balcony and windows had a few rather large spiders and spider webs. Good thing we don't have arachnophobia.
They have two locations for their onsens at different timings. So that needed some getting used to. The onsens themselves are decent enough.
Getting to the place was a little tricky as we didn't know what was the best bus to hop onto. We hopped onto the bus that Google Maps indicated was the most direct, only to realise as we were boarding that that bus was not covered under the Hakone Free Pass. On hindsight, to utilise the Hakone Free Pass, one should take the bus to Yunessen, the hotel next door and walk a short distance uphill.
For the price we thought it was quite worth it, especially compared to some of the other hotels nearby.
GGuest UserThe forest-view rooms are located in the wing built in the 1960s. The decor isn't just retro; it's genuinely vintage. You can tell they used quality materials and had good taste, but it definitely feels dated. The public bath is conveniently located on the 6th floor of the forest wing. The shower stalls have dividers, so privacy is decent. If you're not comfortable using the public bath, the hot water in the room's bathtub is actually hot spring water, so you can enjoy a private soak in your room.
The hotel itself has a lot to offer. There's a hiking trail behind it where you can see Mount Fuji, but it takes about an hour, and I didn't have time for it this trip.
For breakfast, you can choose between Western or Japanese. The Japanese breakfast requires a reservation. Our timing didn't work out, so we had Western breakfast for two days. The menu was exactly the same both days, and while the dishes were standard, they were meticulously prepared.
As a hotel that was once a showcase for Japan's opening to the West, you can feel the high standards of design and service everywhere. Most of the guests are older, which reminds me a bit of China's Friendship Hotel. For families with children, the hotel provides kids' yukata and toiletries, and you can buy fish food for 100 yen to feed the koi, which made the kids very happy.
