Couldn't recommend this place enough. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It's in a great location in a lively neighbourhood with plenty of food, shops and activity around it, yet you do not hear any noise from the rooms. Only 5 minutes walk to the Tianmen Mountain cable car and 10 minutes drive to the airport. Xiaoqian made our experience even better with some very friendly service and even upgraded our room for free. We were very happy with our experience and when we asked to extend our stay by an extra night, Xiaoqian offered a discounted rate. Highly recommended for your stay in Zhangjiajie.

I travel alone and I love living the local experience. This hotel met my expectations. 10 minutes from the train station by car. My room was small, rustic style. Clean room, with a small terrace to have a hot drink. It has good views of the super part of the waterfall. The bathroom is local style. When I arrived at the train station, they took care of taking me to the village and at the entrance I was able to buy the tickets to enter the town. The lady at the hotel reception was very kind to me. I would definitely come back.

Location of this hostel is near to carpark; it takes about 3 min to walk from carpark to hostel. Hostel location on the map is wrong. The hostel is on the left side of Snow Bridge if you are facing Tuo Jiang River. Hostel location is not beside Feng Huang 1st Bridge. When reach carpark, our car cannot enter due to carpark full. The owner came to the main road to help us carry our luggage to the hostel. Same thing when we go back time, the owner helps us to bring the language to the carpark. Free transport provided to and from high-speed rail station. Our balcony is facing the Tuo Jiang River with a view of the ancient city and the scenery at night is very beautiful with the Snow Bridge fully light up. A good, beautiful view of the Snow Bridge and surrounding area. We book Family Suite - 2-Room, River-View (Balcony), a clean and very spacious room and with a great view. The location is convenient, and the housekeeping is good. There are many music bars below the hostel and along the river, but all music stops at 11 pm, is a good initiative. Look no further and book MaoSao Inn if it is available! It is a great hotel full of charm and character with nice & cozy designed room. The pool view is great even though it was too cold to be used in end October. But what makes the difference at this hotel is definitely the couple who owns it - they are so nice & helpful! The guy helped me book all the entrance tickets and advise itineraries to visit the spots around. They are really great people. The hotel is also well located, 20min walk to the park entrance (or you can take bus 1) and literally just around the corner, there are plenty of restaurants and food stalls at night.

Beautiful little hotel with an amazing view of the mountains from the valley. I can only it looks even better in warmer months when things are greener and the pool is in service. It’s super convenient to get to the nearest gate to the national park, maybe 5 minutes walk. We stayed here because they allowed dogs to stay. They were super friendly to my four legged buddy. Unfortunately, the park staff at the nearest gate was not friendly at all. If you want to take your dog into the park you either need to hide them in a bag or go through a different gate. The hotel employees can help you with this. I don’t remember the name but the restaurant just up the hill from the hotel was really good. Highly recommend their potatoes!

It was noisy at night but quieted down by 11:30pm but expected if your by the river. The view of the river from the balcony was fantastic, I sat on the swing and had a cup of tea while watching the boats go by on the river. Very relaxing. Also, the breakfast was very tasty. A glass of warm soy milk, buns, millet porridge, and a bowl of rice noodle. The rice noodle was especially yummy!
