„I'd stayed in a room at YHA Brecon Beacons before and loved it - this was my first experience of a) staying in a land pod and b) staying under covid restrictions. Everything about the 3 night stay far exceeded our expectations. The staff have clearly worked exteremely hard to ensure visitors have a safe and enjoyable time. We received a warm welcome and were given concise guidance on how things operate. The pod and the bathrooms were spotless, the booking system for showers and for takeout meals was efficient and the food was fantastic (as always). The pod itself was brilliant, and although initially it looked small, there is plenty of storage space, the beds are comfortable and the insulation means you get a quiet and warm night's sleep. The firepit was an unexpected pleasure; sitting by the fire, watching the stars was a delight. The location of the hostel is perfect for some very scenic and fairly challenging walking routes without the need to use a car. If you've not been here before, give it a go - it's great value and well worth a visit!”
