When I booked, I was allocated a room in which there was a very extreme and unbearable smell of rot from the bathroom. Due to the volume of the bar and the harbor in front of the house, the window could not be left open. I pointed this out directly to the front desk, but didn't receive any help or even a message for several hours. It wasn't until I reported back to reception several hours later that I found out that the employee had finished his shift without notifying me or housekeeping. The new employee could no longer reach anyone due to the late hour. He moved us to the next room, but it had the same smell, but at least a bathroom door that could be locked. The next morning we canceled the stay and the receptionist promised us to refund the money for the remaining two nights (almost 400€!). This was almost three months ago and I have not heard from the hotel since. Except for one request, how I rate the stay. Here you have my answer. Apart from the problems described, the hotel is clearly overpriced for what it offers. The views from the rooms are fantastic, but that's about the only positive thing. Rooms are very small, noticeably worn even in the higher categories. The breakfast has only a very limited choice, at least we weren't shown any alternatives apart from bread, croissants, jam and coffee.

Excellent location overlooking the port of M****ille. Just in time for the 7.14 French National Day, the fireworks show is right in front of the hotel. The quality of InterContinental is as good as ever, and the swimming pool is very popular. But one day I forgot to clean the room.

My husband and I stayed for one night at this hotel. You can't check in until 3pm, no matter what - even if your flight arrives at 9am in the morning, so be aware that they will need to hold your bags if you wish to drop them off. Staff was very friendly, but right at 3pm, everyone arrives to check in and the wait can take a little time. Our room was pretty small, but had a little kitchen area and a decent sized bathroom. The bed was fairly comfortable and the view was basically of a run-down apartment building in the back of the property (depressing). We fortunately had a good nights rest with very little noise. There's a Nespresso machine in the room and you can buy pods at the front desk. The location is walkable to many tourist shops and restaurants right in Old Port. The room appeared to be clean, but a bit run down. I would suggest a one night's stay if needed, but to stay longer might cramp your style if you wish for something a bit more roomy and charming. Overall, good stay and a good place for walking around Old Port and surrounding neighborhoods.

The location is perfect, the rooms are clean, bed&pillow are comfy, the view is amazing and of course the staff are so humble and kind, especially Alicia who was so welcoming & helpful.. highly recommended!!!!

The interior is pretty and the terrace is pretty. The location is also good.

Sally at reception was extremely helpful sorting error from my British airways booking. She gave me details about mobile phone stores 4 in total walking distance from hotel ,supermarkets . Room very clean with balcony double bed separate bathroom/toilet . Central location shopping centre restaurants /coffee shops/ museums/ fast food all within walking distance . Hotel is opposite metro station if you want to travel to another part of the city. I stayed at the hotel 12th March for one night , i was in M****ILLE to watch M****ille v Strasbourg fantastic atmosphere inside the Velodrome. Catherine at reception when i checked out in the morning was also helpful. I came back down to reception early afternoon after i had checked in Small was finishing her shift i asked her the quickest route to the Velodrome she was taking the Metro going home, she helped me buy a return ticket for the station to leave the train for the football match at the Velodrome. Very Big Thank You to Sally. I would stay at the hotel again.

Excellent four star hotel with good amenities in the rooms - shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower gel, body lotion plus nail file, shower cap, cotton buds, cotton wool pads and water in the mini fridge, safe in the room. Dressing gown and slippers provided. I paid extra for a slightly larger room with a view of the Old Port and it was well worth it. The Port is noisy but the double glazing is very good. The A/C in the room was good. The room and bathroom were clean and serviced daily. I thought the shower could do with an upgrade - no hotels have a hand held shower these days but it was sufficient. Also the room carpet and the main stair carpet are tired and could do with replacing but they were clean and vacuumed. The reception staff were fantastic - friendly, helpful, always pleased to see me when I came back in and interested in knowing what I’d been up to. Milolo was especially good, getting my room ready a bit earlier when I arrived on an early flight, helping with information and printing out my boarding card when I left, but they were all lovely. As a single woman traveller I felt safe and comfortable/at home in the hotel and would highly recommend it. I would definitely go back.

The hotel is at the centre of Marseille, in the port itself. It's a lovely hotel, clean and well-equipped. The staff is extremely kind, ready to help and give information. The room's style was perhaps a little cold for my taste, but it was nice and comfortable. Though it overlooked two busy streets, it was perfectly sound-isolated so it was easy to sleep at night.

No frills modern hotel that is thoughtfully laid out. It is located right on the port and my room had a sweeping view of it. The room itself was clean and comfortable with everything I could need. I was only there one night but it would also be suitable for a longer stay. They even provided a yoga mat (cork!) in the room which was a nice touch. Be warned, the elevator doesn’t go to the entrance level on the ground floor so be prepared to carry your bags a couple flights of stairs to check-in at the first floor. Elevator is available from the first floor up. The young lady working the night shift at the front desk was quick to offer her help, though. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for a clean and affordable stay right in M****ille port.
