Son of a Beach Hostel
"This is by far the best hostel I stayed at, in spite of the number of occupants. I was lucky to have very quiet boys in the room. There’s only one bathroom, connected to the room, but it worked. The hostel is new, modern and spotless. The owner is very friendly. The hostel is also 5 minutes walk from the beach. It was perfect. It’s a long walk to Albufeira from the city buses, and not very clear where the FlixBus stops. I wouldn’t recommend walking from the train station, which took me 4 hours. There’s a local bus, don’t scrimp = TAKE IT. Or take an Uber, or Bolt. Or ask the taxi what he wants to charge from the bus stop at the train station ! The RedeExpress is where the bus station is (but not for the FlixBus). In summary, you can go to Albufeira by FlixBus, but it’s difficult to know where FlixBus leaves Albufeira from. That all said, Albufeira is very difficult in high season, TOO CROWDED, but the Portuguese are tolerant and very patient because they know that tourism is lucrative and has raised the whole country out of poverty. Residents enjoy cheap and / or free public transport on local buses (cheap monthly passes). Residents are respectful and kind. You can practice your Portuguese with them for a laugh, but they all speak English to varying degrees. Here you can meet real residents. On the beach, not necessarily in the pubs. I loved it here. Don’t miss it."

It would only be helpful to provide some complimentary tea and coffee packets, as it has an electric coffee maker."

Such a peaceful hotel beautiful garden to look around. The service was amazing at the reception staff are so friendly and kind. Special mention to Kyle on Reception he is such a gentleman and will help you if he can. The views from this hotel are breathtaking looking out into the sea from our room. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It was my fiance special birthday they had the bedroom done so beautiful with a bottle of wine and chocolates."

"This was a wonderful honeymoon holiday in the Algarve. Thanks to the wonderful hospitality of the W Algarve staff. They were all so friendly and sharing recommendations on where to visit across the Algarve. The breakfast was delicious too. The hotel gave us a few surprises upon arrival (decorating bed with rose petals, congratulatory messages / writings on the walls and a portugese red wine front Duoro valley. What a great way to start the holiday. Furthermore, the W Algarve were extremely helpful on making lunch/dinner bookings in restaurants across Algarve. It felt like a private Concierge and we were very grateful for it. Hip and Portuguese design. Certainly would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Algarve. MUST have a rental car, there isn't much around within walking distance."

"Lovely hotel stayed here may of times before. On arrival we had to pay a holding deposit which we were not aware off, reason was due to groups trashing the rooms and hotel. Didnt agree with this at all. Also we were told to wear a blue wristband so the hotel could see we were guests, again POINTLESS only a few were wearing them. After a few days we removed them and nothing was said. Lots of locals turned up everyday to use the pool again nothing said to them. Large groups around the pool area left all the rubbish looked like it was a 18-30 hotel at times. SHAME as prevoius stays were amazing."
