A tranquil escape from a bustling city. Our stay was short( ( only three night) but we were looked after so really well by the team. The Food was delicious and the service was excellent. The cool and quiet really revived us after the heat and noise of the city.

Small hotel with great character and attractive rooms. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. Food also good especially breakfast. Lovely location centrally in Amritsar but still quiet. Plenty of outdoor space for relaxing including a n attractive central courtyard.

Beautiful old colonial house, with traditional features which we loved. The rooms are traditional and comfortable. The food was delicious and the staff were just so lovely and welcoming. There is no alcohol at this hotel but they are more than happy for you to buy and drink on one of the ***y outside seating areas. This was one of the best places we stayed on our 2 weeks travels and highly recommended. If you are looking for new, shiny and modern this place is not for you. Thank you for our stay

Our party of 4 couldn’t wait to leave this filthy, uncared for place. Much of the property was in need of a well overdue clean and maintenance. A handrail on stairs was held on with masking tape! One of the ‘cushions’ in the much recommended courtyard seating area was an old bit of curtain wrapped around and held with a couple of staples. I could go on and on! What was most extraordinary is that our travel company World Odyssey, deemed it acceptable to put us there!

We stayed at SVAASA for three nights in one of the very comfortable rooms with a balcony overlooking the patio. The place has an amazing history and has great facilities, including the patio and roof garden both with plants and comfortable chairs. It is located down a private road and is very quiet, but still accessible off Mall Road. The restaurant provides dining on the patio or indoors and the menu varies on a daily basis using a farm to fork approach, so always fresh local ingredients. The staff are excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending the SVAASA as a great traditional place to stay.

An oasis of peace and like stepping back to a time of elegance. Hidden behind this main road lies a beautiful quiet villa with historic furniture, elegant beds (comfortable as well), cool courtyards and gardens to sit and rest in. Topped with excellent food and service and being family owned it has that genuine feel. Loved our time there.

I am afraid this place is living on its reputation and is rather less attractive than it sounds or appears on websites. The building itself is rather interesting, providing you like living in a time warp. The truth is it clearly has not been renovated for decades and it sorely needs it. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable, and the staff (mostly) keen to help. The hotel is in an uninteresting part of the town so there is nowhere to go if you just want to have a wander. The fact that it was occupied exclusively by Western tourists (unlike some other places we stayed where there were ***y Indian tourists) suggests that it is heavily marketed to agencies who have not reviewed it for some time. A qualified recommendation I am afraid.

A lovely homely haveli in Amritsar! I think if you stay here you need to be really open minded and accept that within the limitations of the age of the building it is a wonderful boutique hotel and has a homely feel. The staff for me made Ranjit's Svaasa an amazing place to stay! Neelu gave us a lovely welcome after a long flight! The staff at breakfast were friendly and really could not do enough. Breakfast was delicious and we had a lunch meal there that was freshly made and was very lush. I think what the owner needs to think about is let the place just remain authentic to it's character, there was a very old gym upstairs and some random sun beds, think it would have been better served as a simple but nice seating area.
