Hotel 717 lives up to its buzz and in fact, exceeded our expectations. From start to finish our stay was delightful. We were greeted warmly at the front doorstep and treated to a welcome cocktail after checking in. The property is beautiful! Expertly curated with whimsical, decorative details throughout. Our room was spacious, and the bed + bedding were sublime. Staff was exceptionally kind, with extra special praise earned by Camilla and Wolf who went above and beyond for us! It was quite difficult to leave Hotel 717, although the send-off tin of cookies eased our sadness and heightened our hopes to return asap. Thank you, Hotel 717! We are grateful for you all!

Set right next to the best part of the city, Leidseplein which is very well connected to all the notable landmarks including walkable distance to both the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum as well as the famous Voldelpark. The hotel has very modern interiors and all the facilities to make ones stay comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious unlike the other European hotels. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. There are 100's of restaurants serving all types of food and all are within walking distance from the hotel. Getting to Dam Square which is the shopping hub and Amsterdam Central station is just a single tram ride. Overall, the hotel is very clean and comfortable and nothing can beat the convenient location of this hotel.

This hotel is awesome. The loft house I chose to live in is full of high-tech sinks. There is a TV in the mirror. I can use the whole hotel. It is like a museum full of literary atmosphere. When a gentleman leads me to visit the hotel. And the history of the hotel was first explained by a bank and later became a conservatory. The hotel was renamed as the current hotel. The location is especially great. The National Museum Van Gogh Museum walks for 5 minutes. It has a great seafood walk 2 minutes back to the room and finds the bed to help sleep. The fragrance spray and the weather conditions of the next day will be especially intimate and will choose this hotel.

Excellent location, could walk to every “tourist” place. . Plenty of restaurants and bars right outside the doors! The breakfast at the hotel was great with lots of options and the staff very accommodating! Pastry chef is outstanding..deserves a raise!! Croissants the lightest fluffiest ever! Everything tastes as good as it looks! Front desk staff very nice, Sarah went out of her way to “fix” a minor problem and continued ask if everything was ok each time she saw us. Rooms clean and roomy, beds comfortable would stay again if ever in Amsterdam and recommend this hotel to anyone who asks! Transportation from airport is a little pricey (taxi for 4 ..70-100 euros depending on traffic ) but once you are there no need to use again.

The location is fantastic, the ground station is the ground station, only 4 stops from the central station. Downstairs are all restaurants and bars, food quality is not bad, many attractions can actually be reached on foot, although the room is on the street, but the sound insulation is quite good, the counter staff is very cordial and polite, much worse than Paris! If you have the chance to come to Amsterdam again, you will stay again!

Hotel location was good as it is in the central area to almost all activities that we went. But however, hotel room service did not help us to empty our toilet trash bin every single day despite that we gave tips everyday, so I'm not sure how clean exactly is their room service. Bring extra cash for hotel tax and deposits as we were only told on the 1st night of checking in when the recept call up to our room to ask us to go to the reception to pay for our hotel tax and deposit, where only the deposits will be refunded upon checking out if you did not consume their in-room beverages or destroy their hotel etc. Hotel location is very near to 2 super mart, and also the ******** coffee shop, cafe and restaurants, not very convenient for kids as every where smells of ********. Breakfast was super good spread, large varieties, we love it.

The hotel is quite close to the central train station. It is also close to the Chinatown, the Rembrandt museum, the restaurants, and other touristy places. The staffs are friendly and helpful. There is a small restaurant on the first floor. There are also a small shelves with snacks and drinks behind the receptionist, so it’s quite convient to get some midnight snacks. The room has a nice size and it is very clean. The decoration is quite playful and modern similar to other Ibis hotel. The price is good for the location and the size of the room. However, the room is not very sound proof. It’s easy to hear the sound coming from other rooms and form the corridor. At this time, Holland does not require the mask anymore inside the hotel so it’s nice to feel back to how it was before the pandemic.

This hotel should be a last resort for anyone who books it. Don't book this hotel if you care about the little things that a larger hotel can provide. I arrived in AMS on an overnight flight in the morning. I got to the hotel after lunch and the staff made zero effort to accommodate an early check-in. I asked them when they can accommodate (in case room was still being cleaned etc...) and they simply said ”come back at 3pm” Zero effort. I asked them traveler related questions about where to find a certain store in the area and again the staff made zero effort. Their response was ”I wouldn't know”...seriously? don't you live here? The stairs are pretty much ladders. It's a hazard for older people and for people who cannot carry luggage that harrowing ladder. Rooms are small. Beds are not comfortable. The location is not close to the metro. The nearest tram still requires a bit of a walk. Their room numbering system is inconsistent. It can be confusing unless you ask the unhelpful staff. The room can get hot so you need window to be open but the street noise will keep you awake at night. If that doesn't keep you awake at night, the walls are thin that you can hear muffled conversations from the other rooms. The rate at which they charge is also unreasonable for the product they are providing.

The service was very good, nice personnel at the front desk, the room was cleaned every day and so on. Very good location near the city center and therefore I can kinda understand the price of the room etc My room was on the 3rd floor, the elevator only goes to the 2nd floor, not really a big deal but a bit weird. Don't get me wrong, the room itself felt clean and fresh, nothing to complain about there besides that the shower pressure was insanly low, sometimes the water just stopped running at all during a shower... But the big issue is the size of the room itself and what you get for over a €100 a night, I booked a single room for one person, and the room feels like it's built around the frame of the bed, the room is incredible small, smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in and the most expensive one as well. The bathroom is so small that the toilet is placed just behind the sink so you barely have room to actually sit on the toilet, and the glass door to the shower can only be opened on one side... the side where the sink is so you have about 30cm of room to get out of the shower because the sink is in the way... Like I said, the room felt clean and fresh, but it is ridiculously small. Overall a good stay, the room was good enough for sleeping in but for the size of the room and what you pay for it doesn't really add up, over a €100 a night for a room barely bigger than the bed itself is kinda weird.

Welcoming staff (thanks Luca!) and a perfect location for visiting museum district, taking boat tour and living in authentic atmosphere of old city. Hotel doesn’t offer tea or coffee facility in the room but has it for free in the small cosy lobby, which was enjoyable. Tram stop is right in front of the hotel, which is super convenient on one hand but can be a bit noisy if your room windows are facing the street. Keep in mind that there is no lift and stairs are pretty steep, so for travelers with heavy suitcases this can be challenging. Single beds are comfortable but really narrow as in my opinion. Overall I recommend this hotel.

You can barely hear the noise outside (you can hear the planes flying by or the ambulance on the street, but it's very muffled) and the rooms have good sound insulation + heating. The issue is the other clients staying at the inn that don't have common sense and respect for anyone else and just arrive late at night screaming and talking loud for no reason... you really can't blame the hotel for that. The public transportation is amazing there, with tram and direct bus from Schipol airport nearby. I've went to a concert in Melkweg, so also very close to the arena, which was the purpose of my trip. It's pretty much center Amsterdam, so it is an old building, so the stairs are a bit small. It wasn't my case, because I had only a small bag, but the hotel staff asked the couple in front of me if they needed help carrying their bags upstairs. So the staff goes extra and beyond to try to be helpful. Would return there a next time.

This hostel offers an attractive price and a great location: close to the Rijksmuseum and Prinsengracht. However, there is no such thing as a free lunch. The flip side of the coin is a very tight location. There are three-tier beds, like on Indian trains...The highest of which is very uncomfortable to climb. And climb down too. Especially at night. Another unpleasant moment is the noise from the street from the bars working until the morning. I do not know how the locals live here. I sympathize with them, it's not easy to live in the tourist center of the world. They probably have windows with 100% insulation. So you won't be able to sleep well here.. Otherwise, it's fine. The staff is friendly. Clear.

Had a double room Mon to Thu (overlooking courtyard) and then family room Fri to Sun (overlooking canal). You go to this hotel for the location which is fantastic. Hotel room was fine and had what you needed. Linen a little old but it all was ok I'd rate the room three stars. Whilst they no longer provide breakfast but there was coffee and a fruit bowl that we enjoyed. If you wanted to sit in what must have been the previous breakfast area with small tables it was quite nice. We chose a canal side family room and the view was fabulous. The down side was the noise which continued late into the night. As it was warm you had to keep the window open and hence the noise came in. Maybe ear plugs would have helped. Both the inner double room and this family room were quite hot. The hotel provided a fan which was helpful but I'm not sure I'd stay there again in the summer. In both rooms you heard some other rooms noise door shutting etc. In the family room the people above felt quite noisy for two of the three nights and mornings. It was relief on our last morning to not be woken early. So like I said it wasn't a horrible stay but I'm just note sure I'd choose to stay there again.
