This week, the restaurant staff, especially David Kookie and Jessica Voh, waited on the 100+ customers each day they had breakfast here. Besides the fact they served so many people at once, my husband and I were amazed at the effectiveness they demonstrated. They prepared the breakfast area with polished silverware, fresh coffee, replenished serving bowls with fresh fruit, sustained clean tables while keeping attentiveness with coffee refills and table checking for each of them with positive and respectful attitudes. They deserve much credit along with the rest on on staff this past week keeping pace with such volume of customers while staying cheerful.

Unbelievably bad service by Taylor, Front Desk Manager/Supervisor. When we came back to our room at the end of the night there were issues immediately. There was a missing lightbulb in one of the light fixtures, only one TINY trash can in the entire room, and the video cable for the TV was nonexistent. Along with the room just feeling like it was in disrepair, and had not received a deep cleaning in some time. These maintenance issues were remedied. The manager on duty at the time, a gentleman, was very accommodating and kind. As was the gentleman that came to the room, this would have been the night of April 21, 2022. Around 10PM when the complaint was placed. We did our best to enjoy our stay in the TINY overpriced and frankly not entirely clean room the best we could. The day before checkout another kind manager gave us a late checkout for the next day. I wish I had remembered his name, though I did not know I would be writing this review until the night of 5/12/2022, this evening. We noticed what turned out to be an improperly placed smoking charge on our card. We called to discuss our dispute with the manager on duty at the hotel. This evening, 5/12/2022, at approximately 7 PM. Taylor answered the phone. She was the manager on duty. She explained that the charge was for smoking in the room and that there was some sort of evidence in the room. I made it clear my wife and I don’t even smoke and asked for said evidence. Taylor immediately became argumentative and told me that “you can take that up with your credit card company”. I explained that I had worked in the hotel industry (I was a manager for a hotel company in San Diego some years ago) and that it is blatantly clear when someone had smoked in a room and that they must have gotten the room wrong she repeated that I would “have to take it up with them” and then she HUNG UP THE PHONE. She hung up on us. I called back, asked for her manager, she indicated that she was the manager and I tried to continue the conversation, asking why she had hung up on me. She said “because I was stating a fact and there is no dispute”. I explained that it is indeed a dispute, over the opinion of the hotel being I smoked in a room I hadn’t smoked in. SHE HUNG UP AGAIN. I called back, asking for the name of her General Manager. She said his abbreviated first name, and told me to talk to him in the morning and HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN. I decided it might be nice to have his full name, given the fact that the issue had now become about her service, and not the fee, and that I wanted to make sure I talked to the right person. I called back, just asking for his last name, she HUNG UP on me again, I called back a final time, again asking for her managers name, and she again hung up on me. I called the neighboring property and obtained the General Managers full name. I placed a call with corporate customer support and opened a case regarding Taylor’s service. We stayed here a couple days on a college visit trip for my daughter. This hotel was a very positive contrasting experience vs our stay at a different chain in Amarillo. The gym was pretty complete with I think 4 treadmills along with elliptical and free weights. The towels in the gym were clean, smelled nice and were like thick bath towels. The room was clean and there were adequate towels and washcloths. The reception folks were nice and always acknowledged us when we came or went. Parking was easy and well lit. There were an adequate number of elevators. They put us in a higher floor when we checked in since our room wasn't ready at 3:30 PM. Our room was comfortable and clean. There weren't kids running up and down the hallway and we didn't hear noise coming from other rooms. I have nothing to complain about. It was all positive. Oh, and the included breakfast was excellent. They didn't over hype it, it was just very good by typical complimentary breakfast American hotel standards. Wifi was complimentary and worked fine. There are good restaurants within easy walking distance. The recommended restaurants was a nice, but I'd suggest 2 changes. Pepper's Asian bistro was much better than the recommended Thai Pot Cafe unless you specifically want Pad Thai. We ate at both. For Italian I'd recommend North Italia, which they listed but wasn't a staff recommended.

The location of the hotel is good, close to ATMs and shops. Upon arrival, I asked for a room with a refrigerator, they gave it to me without any problems. Since I read a review before that the room does not have a refrigerator. There is coffee and apples downstairs. All liked it

Very good, much better than I imagined

Stayed 4 nights visiting family. Everything was clean and fresh. The staff was friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good, hot and different every day. It was close to many amenities and good restaurants but far enough from the highway to be peaceful. Will definitely stay here again.

We found a good rate here for 92.00 w tax. When we walked in hotel we were greeted by Quevette at the front desk. We did not have a reservation and she was most pleasant anyway. She made a special trip up to the 3rd floor to check to see if a room was ready. when she returned she explained just a 15 minute wait and we could ck-in as it was before the 3:00 pm check in time- We were very weary travelers on our way home from visiting Colorado Rockies, Grand Tetons Yellowstone Little Bighorn Memorial Park, Devils Tower, Deadwood, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Badlands, Wall drugs, and Hot Springs SD. We were tired. Quevette advised if the room was not satisfactory to let her know and she will arrange another room. The room was clean comfortable and next day we had free breakfast and off to the airport- Hotel is 20 - 30 minutes from airport ….Good place to stay but hotel could use some touch ups.
