This hotel is listed as 4 stars but having stayed at 5 star hotels it is far superior!! The location ,setting ,pool area ,large immaculate rooms and hotel are gorgeous. The breakfast buffet and restaurant meals are delicious. The concierges Damir Roberto Tina Sall and Agostino treat clients as family with such great care and concern . Staff as well as the guests I met are so friendly making my stay here the most fantastic in spectacular Sardinia!! Hotel Balocco is just fabulous !!!!

Room was ok, we had a twin room with two single beds. The bathroom is very dark, there's no light in the shower area. Breakfast is good and abundant. The hotel provides towels for the beach and has a shuttle that takes you to the city and other parts of town (we didn't use this service). There's also parking space outside the hotel which is pretty convenient given that it's really hard to park around Porto Cervo in general. Staff is very polite and attentive.

We organized a 7-day yoga retreat at Grand Hotel in Porto Cervo and had a magical week!! The service is excellent, the staff enormously friendly, courteous and helpful. It is a spacious hotel complex with lots of green, breathtaking views, right on the beach and a beautiful bathing bay. It has a large pool and various relaxation areas. For an extra charge you can also use the great beach club just above the beach, with comfortable loungers, bar service, an exquisite lunch restaurant with a postcard view, and sanitary facilities. Very nice breakfast buffet, which also considers special dietary needs (lactose-free, gluten-free, etc.), light lunches can be enjoyed at the pool bar or deck overlooking the sea, in the evening a varied, delicious dinner selection is served. The rooms are basic and a bit outdated but have comfortable beds and are very clean. We will be happy to come back!

Dopo 20 anni (ne avevo all'epoca 15-16) sono ritornata al Bagalino con la mia famiglia e mio figlio di 2 anni. Ricordavo il Bagaglino come un villaggio bellissimo, uno dei più belli della zona, ben tenuto, con 20 animatori professionisti che ti accoglievano all'arrivo, ristoranti e tante attività di intrattenimento...bei tempi forse! Oggi il Bagalino, seppur sia sempre una bella struttura di base con appartamenti confortevoli, è un dormitorio in totale fase di abbandono...un vero peccato! Nucleo centrale in costruzione in quanto parte di esso venduto a terzi. Animazione inesistente se non per 30 minuti alla sera per i bimbi senza alcun tipo di intrattenimento per noi genitori, infatti non è possibile prenedere ne un drink ne un gelato in quanto il bar è sempre chiuso ad eccezione di 2-3 serate al mese (assurdo nel mese di agosto) Spiaggia sempre molto grande e bella, come poche, ma ci sono solamente tre file di lettini assegnati a sorte la sera prima alle 18.30 perciò, se sei in escursione o a passeggio altrove e non presidi l'estrazione, perdi il turno. Ti garantiscono comuque due lettini e, previa disponibilitò, un piccolo ombrellone portatile. Servizio ristorazione e bar in spiaggia affidato a terzi, non di qualità, sempre vuoto e con prezzi oltre l'assurdo. Gli appartamenti sono carini, noi avevamo un bilocale superior con un grande terrazzo vista mare. Pulizie supericiali e frettolose, la cucina non viene neanche considerata se non per un costro extra. Suggerisco di riporre sempe con cura gli effetti personali...fidarsi è bene ma non fidarsi è meglio! 4 giorni su 7 abbiamo avuto problemi con l'aria condizonata nella camera tanto che abbiamo dovuto gestire da soli l'impianto imparando dal tecnico (gentilissimo) che ogni giorno era li e rimediava provvisoriamente. Dopo 4 giorni hanno provveduto a risolvere il problema su nostra insistenza. Personale della reception è disponibile ma ha tantissimo da imparare! c'è un sistema di comunicazione con la reception tramite whatspp per chattare quando ne hai bisogno. In conclusione noi siamo stati bene perchè non abbiamo avuto tante pretese e siamo persone attive ed indipendenti però non vi aspettante più il villaggio di 20 anni fa!

Struttura ben tenuta ed immersa in una rigogliosa vegetazione con una piscina, anche se molto fredda, ma di sicuro effetto. La vicinanza poi con Porto Cervo la fanno prediligere al caos dei centri della costa. Peccato però, e qui iniziano le dolenti note, che non abbia una spiaggia, come invece fa intendere il sito o come telefonicamente raccontano ai clienti gli addetti dell'hotel. In pratica le due location pubblicizzate piccolo e grande pevero sono a pagamento, l'hotel ha una piccola area nel piccolo pevero, voi penserete be li si potra prendere il sole con lettini ed ombrelloni compresi nel prezzo..... ebbene no, con soli 160€ per due lettini ed un ombrelloni potrete prendere la prima fila e poco a scalare le file successive, per avere un gran servizio, una asciugamano, una bottiglietta d'acqua ed una macedonia a metà mattina STOP...... si avete capito bene, l'hotel non nessuna struttura in spiaggia, c'è li un piccolo bar con un solo bagno per tutta la spiaggia (chiaramente a pagamento) che fornisce fugaci piatti o da bere. tutto qui ben 160€ al giorno...... imbarazzante e se invece scegliete il grande pevero come da loro consigliato, la cifra sarà similare ma non avrete neanche le asciugamani ne acqua ne frutta......un grande hotel sul mare !!!!!!!!! Oltre a questo, una sera purtroppo abbia fatto tardi e non abbiamo trovato un tabaccaio aperto e ci siamo permessi di chiedere una sigaretta alla receptions la quale ci ha prontamente aperto un cassetto ed offerto l'acquisto di un pacchetto di Marlboro alla modica cifra di 10€ (ma si possono vedere tabacchi cosi ? ed ad un prezzo maggiorato) alla richiesta di avere anche un fiammifero, ci hanno offerto alla cifra di 3€ un pacchettino di fiammiferi quelli che in genere si regalano.... !!!!! fantastico. Non finisce qui, abbiamo assistito alla telefonata tra il gestore del lido del grande pevero che chiedeva di mandare le asciugamani per noi ed il concierge rispondeva candidamente che i bagnini non avevano voglia di arrivare sino a li e che le avrebbero portate fino a metà strada.................. fantastico Comunque, tanta disorganizzazione ma con alcuni buoni ottimi elementi della sala ristorante, la receptions da rifondare cosi come il concierge (ne abbiamo di esempi raccolti in soli 3 giorni), per fortuna abbiamo avuto un contrattempo e siamo dovuti partire due giorni prima perche sicuramente non è stata una piacevole scoperta, anzi !!!! Ora saremmo grati se ci venisse rimborsato quanto pagato per la spiaggia, in maniera indebita, quanto pagato per le sigarette (considerto che non si può vendere tabacco se non autorizzati e non ad un prezzo qualsiasi) e magari le giornate non usufruite.
