Hotel Monte Verità

Unfortunately, this special place appears to be losing its soul. Compared with our last stay, the breakfast was very basic and the service only half-hearted. Worst of all, upon check-out the receptionist deliberately and pejoratively called me "Natasha", which felt as treating me with contempt as a guest. This was very embarassing and unprofessional, and discourages me from visiting this hotel ever again.

Very nice location. You feel like in a little resort. The rooms looks like an hospital room. Only white with convenience bed. But everything was clean. We have an amazing view on the lake from the balcony.

Nice and quiet place to stay and explore. The location is best to view the beautiful town and lake below. Lots of hiking trails besides the long winding road to and fro Ascona. WiFi is not readily available and tugging suitcase over the cobblestone is a challenge. Breakfast is great.

Great hotel, neat and friendly personnel. The garden is great to wander around and offers some great views of the lake. Getting to the hotel by bus is a bit hard. You'll have to walk up the hill. Also the rooms are not really soundproof, but since all people seemed to sleep in early this wasn't a big issue for me.

Nice hotel full of history

Das Hotel trohnt hoch oben auf dem Monte Verita; die Aussicht ist wirklich schön. Auch die ruhige Lage ist toll. Ebenfalls der Teegarten ist sehenswert. Bei Ankunft wurden wir leider nicht informiert oder instruiert, wo der Frühstücksraum war. Es war kein netter Empfang. Die Informationen flossen mehr als dürftig. Das dünne Info-Folio im Zimmer ist nicht vollständig. Wir konnten unseren Hund mitnehmen; das war schon mal positiv. Allerdings erhielten wir für die Hundepauschale nichts; kein Wassernapf im Zimmer, kein Hundebett, kein Willkommensgutzi. Am Samstag dann, fand sich eine Hochzeitsgesellschaft ein. Eigentlich nichts Negatives; nur, dass wir beim Zurückkommen vom Abendessen keinen Parkplatz fanden. Da müssten doch die Hotelgäste mindestens einen reservierten Parkplatz vorfinden? Am Sonntag, bei schönem Wetter, wurde drinnen der Tisch für das Frühstück gedeckt. Ohne zu Fragen, ob dies für uns ok wäre... Allgemein unfreundliches Personal. Die Zimmer ohne Balkon mit Original Bauhaus Möbel und Lampen. Das Bad sehr unbequem. Zum Duschen muss man praktisch über die Toilette steigen um in die Badewanne zu gelangen. Das Fenster kann nicht geöffnet werden. Der Föhn, aus dem letzten Jahrhundert dürfte auch mal akualisiert werden. Alles in Allem fehlt einfach ein qüantchen Stil und Begeisterung.

L'hotel, nella struttura Bauhaus, è funzionale, pulito, essenziale, ma comodo e con tutti i confort. Manca però l'aria condizionata, così come il televisore (cosa inutile vista la bellezza del posto), ma poter passeggiare per i giardini, prendere un tè nella casa adiacente, o semplicemente riposarsi su delle sedie poste nel prato antistante l'ingresso principale, è un'esperienza fantastica. Le camere da bagno sono ampie e c'è la vasca, pulitissima, in cui immergersi e guardare, senza essere visti, un paesaggio da favola. Buona e variegata prima colazione. Il personale è gentile e accorto, ma soprattutto sempre disponibile a fornire informazioni e a risolvere eventuali problemi. Il ristorante dell'hotel è buono con un menù pero fisso.
