Athens City Hotel

Jest to bardzo prosty hotel, w którym można po prostu spać, brać prysznic i nic więcej. To około 4 km od placu Syntagma i centrum. Nie korzystaliśmy z transportu publicznego i postanowiliśmy spacerować i korzystać z Ubera, co jest całkiem rozsądne. Ateny jako miasto to jedno z gorszych miejsc jakie odwiedziłem. Nie ma nic do zobaczenia poza Akropolem. Na pewno nie odwiedzę ponownie.

Lokalizacja jest w porządku, około 20 minut od centrum miasta. Ale hotel/pokoje wydają się być stare i mają bardzo małą łazienkę z prysznicem, korzystanie z nich było trochę niewygodne.

Bardzo wygodnie jest dojść do okolicznych atrakcji w centrum miasta.Podoba mi się wyposażenie pokoju, trochę eleganckie.

Jeśli jesteś osobą kolorową, NIE ZATRZYMUJ SIĘ TUTAJ! ! Odwiedziłem w zeszłym roku i kiedy zszedłem na dół na śniadanie, zostałem zaatakowany słownie przez jednego z mężczyzn z recepcji (miał ciemne włosy, nie mylić z drugim mężczyzną z recepcji o blond włosach, ponieważ był miły). Byłem tam jedynym Afroamerykaninem i jako jedyny otrzymałem od niego takie traktowanie. Krzyczał na mnie, pytając, co tu robię, przed jadalnią pełną gości i zażądał, abym natychmiast podał mu numer mojego pokoju, zmuszając mnie do podania numeru pokoju pełnego nieznajomych, co stanowi zagrożenie dla bezpieczeństwa. Wcale się z nim nie wojowałem, a on poszedł za mną do windy, żeby patrzeć, jak idę na górę, aby upewnić się, że nie kłamię.

We stayed here for two nights and the reception staff were amazing from start to finish. They were very helpful my mother brought her mobility scooter and they allowed us to keep it near reception they also helped her figure out how to charge it. They also helped with information about thr local area if they didnt know they would find out for us. The cleaning staff were also very friendly. Breakfast was a basic continental but it was enough to start the day. Hotel is situated only 30 min walk from the archaeological museum. The rooms are quite basic but serviceable. We were disappointed that there was a bath but it didn't seem to work and the shower was a bit rubbish. We didn't sit on the balcony it wasn't very attractive but then we weren't there long. Beds were comfortable which is the main thing. It's a nice basic hotel in the heart of Athens.

I booked and payed for the hotel for my Greek girlfriend who had to stay by a few days In Athens. I picked this hotel sight unscene due to my girlfriend wanting a room with a bathtub. My girlfriend after checking in could only stay there for a day and a half because she felt very unsafe and had to flee the hotel in the middle of the night. She called me (I am in the states) frantic and hysterically crying telling me she feared for her life at the hotel. She ended up not going back to the hotel and checked in to another one where she felt safe. I had her go and get her clothes with a friend a day and a half later. I contacted ******* for a partial refund and was refused. They told me it was up to the hotel and they didn’t care that I bought the trip insurance through them in case of any issues. I filed a claim with my credit card company and they are doing an investigation. The bottom line is this; if you purchase a product from *******, be it airline, train rental car and accommodations, especially if you are traveling outside your home country you will not receive any type of refund. If you have any issues that can cause a disruption of your trip, be to lose the money you paid up front to *******. I know it will rarely happen and but I just want to warn everyone that they will not help you in anyway. I could not talk to anyone. All of my comms had to go through a chat window and if you contacted them vice ******* contacting you their “investigation” process starts over.

staff was wonderful, eager to please..hotel was very clean. limited option for breakfast, same thing everyday.need lots of improvement in this area..very convenient for transportation ( taxi) a little far form most attractions.. overall very clean and updated hotel.

The hotel room was as shown in pictures when booking but unfortunately there was no heat during the night whereby you had to wrap up when going to bed. After housekeeping had been they would leave the window/door open which when you have been out for the whole day coming back to a cold room did not sit well. When asked about why there was no heating they said there was a problem and something about room being at the back of the hotel - this needs to get fixed.
