This is a hotel that impressed us during our trip to India. The service was very attentive, although it only lasted for one night. We went to TAKE A BOATRUDE FOR CEREMONY at 5:15 in the morning. The hotel arranged a boatman and waiter on time to guide us on the boat, and prepared the blanket very thoughtfully. It is hard to imagine how cold we would be without the blanket. Then we went to breakfast. A waiter provided us with services. Usually they started the meal at 7 am, but because we left the hotel at 7 am, they prepared some hot meals in advance, and they were very warm. Then on time, the boatman and PORTER took us on board and went to Baiqiao to meet our driver. They didn't leave until they put the boxes in the car. The key point came, the driver whispered, the hotel front desk started to call him at 5 o'clock in the morning, and constantly reminded him that he must wait for us early, for fear that we were delayed or could not find him. In fact, we didn't tell the hotel in advance, we needed them to remind the driver and so on. We just told the front desk that we were departing at 10 o'clock and we needed to depart from the hotel at 7 o'clock. Makes the hotel more nervous than us, afraid of being late and so on. The meticulous and perfect service exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this hotel, BRIRAMA PALACE VARANASI, WONDERFUL HOTEL!

In the end, the owner was kind and helpful. I was worried because of the bad reviews online. Since it happened to be after the Holi festival, I was a little worried about the situation at the accommodation. As expected, I was told that they thought I was just jumping in on the day, and when I showed them my reservation confirmation form, they said, ”I'll put you in a deluxe dormitory, but would you mind paying me extra?” I can't do it, so I'd like to stay in the dormitory, even if I don't want to sleep on the sofa.'' I pushed through. In the end, I was given a free upgrade and a free bottle of water because the dormitory was dirty and I was sharing a room with the staff. I think the room is good for India, but there were a few mosquitoes. Also, there was no breakfast option on the website, so I think it would be best to stay without meals. It was good for the time being, and I wrote a high rating as a thank you for your kindness, but please note that there were some messes like this in reality.

Located on the edge of the Ganges River, the hotel has its own roof terrace, very close to the Dasawamedo River and the staff is friendly. But I don't know why the quilt is soft, it seems to be a little damp, or is it not a change?

GGuest UserThis was my first time visiting Varanasi & we wanted to pre book our stay to avoid any hassles. After doing an extensive research on the Internet and speaking with various vendors we finally came across Baba Guest House. The owner Gopal Jha was extremely polite and helpful with sharing the right information and he also showed us the room via video call. Baba Guest House is conveniently located on Munshi Ghat and all major attractions like Dasashwamedh Ghat & Kashi Vishwanath temple are at walking distance. All the ghats in Varanasi are well connected and you can just walk by them by exiting the guest house. The rooms are clean and comfortable and as this is a family business we experienced a very friendly vibe and Gopal Ji and his family were amazing hosts. We celebrated Holi at the property as they had arranged a small event on their rooftop and it was the best Holi celebration ever. Great location, awesome Wi-Fi speed, safe and secure accommodation. There is a rooftop cafe called Aadha Aadha which serves a decent spread. We totally recommend staying at Baba Guest House for a comfortable and memorable experience in Varanasi.

GGuest UserThis hotel has to be the best in terms of location. Everything is easily and comfortably accessible from the hotel. I visited this property with my family and we all felt like home. Hi***shu tripathi at front desk was so polite and assisted us with everything we asked and he was very humble and helped us throughout our stay. The staff at restaurant during breakfast and dinner they are really really helpful and they made our stay more comfortable. I definitely recommend this property , and suitable specially for families.

GGuest UserHotel KV was a lovely stay. The staff were friendly and kind. The air con worked really well and didn’t cost too much more than without but was definitely worth it. We had good wifi. I left my tablet (Kindle) under my pillow and they kept it for me for when I realised two days later for when I picked it up which was a massive relief - thank you guys! I would recommend this place if you want a comfortable and safe stay in Varanasi.

The heart of the Palace on the Steps lies in its impeccable management and staff. Their efficiency, attentiveness, and warmth created an environment of comfort and ease. Ajay, the ever-ready and eager manager, exemplified hospitality, swiftly addressing any concerns with a personal touch. The culinary delights at the Palace on the Steps restaurant were another highlight of my stay. Dining at the rooftop restaurant became a cherished ritual, with each meal a delightful exploration of flavors. Additionally, the prompt and thorough laundry service added a layer of convenience to my experience. Housekeeping kept my room very clean and tidy throughout my stay. Plenty of water, toiletries, and making sure everything was in its place further made me feel welcome. Thank you Golu. A testament to the establishment's commitment to guest satisfaction was the thoughtful gesture by Ajay. Upon my casual request for him to store some Coca-Cola in the hotel’s refrigerator, he went above and beyond a couple days later by equipping the premium rooms with mini refrigerators. This act of thoughtfulness not only enhanced my stay but also reflected the spirit of the Palace on the Steps: to provide a truly personalized and memorable experience. I am filled with deep gratitude for the staff's dedication to creating such a memorable stay.
