“Nice Resort on Long Beach” Want a Sands is a nice resort on one of the best beaches in Thailand. Pool Access room was excellent and the buffet breakfast was very good. Lots of variety for either western or Thai food and very tasty. The staff at the resort are top-notch. Derek the manager and his team are committed to you enjoying your stay at the resort. Lots of families at the resort but also a great location for couples wanting to experience a wonderful resort on a beautiful beach in Koh Lanta. Highly recommend “Fabulous location on the beach! ” Fabulous hotel overall. Fantastic location next to the beach, and there was so many pools to use. We had a room with pool access and it was fantastic. The only thing, I wish the fitness room would’ve been slightly bigger but it was still good. Would definitely stay here again! All the staff at reception were lovely and made sure to always help when it was needed! Definitely recommend.

Rawi Warin Resort in Thailand hosted our destination wedding, and we were thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. As a couple from different countries who met in a foreign land but now reside together, we sought an intimate wedding with 33 guests. Rawi Warin stood out among the 20 resorts we researched on Krabi/Ko Lanta due to its remarkable beauty and elegant ambiance, ultimately leading us to book our wedding there. Throughout the planning process, the resort's communication was frequent and efficient, ensuring all our queries were promptly addressed. Upon our arrival three days before the wedding, we were struck by the well-maintained gardens, picturesque pond, and exquisite buildings, all of which contributed to the resort's appeal. The resort staff was undoubtedly the highlight of our experience, displaying genuine warmth and hospitality. They consistently greeted us with smiles and ensured our needs were met throughout our, and our guests stay. Rawi Warin's wedding package included essential elements such as decor, flowers, stationery, a wedding officiant, wedding cake and a wedding coordinator, making the planning process more streamlined. While an outdoor wedding was not possible due to weather conditions, the resort efficiently transitioned to an indoor setting, which turned out to be equally enchanting. The attention to detail in the wedding arrangements and the quality of service provided by the staff exceeded our expectations. The resort's pool was also a standout feature, and the surrounding natural beauty added to the overall allure. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to Rawi Warin and its dedicated team for their contribution to making our wedding a memorable occasion. We chose Twin Lotus because it is adults only. It was romantic, peaceful, lovely, and we will definitely go back. We selected a room in the back as it was cheaper and we did not need to be on the beach. There are several,pools to choose from. The ine at the beach can get filled by 0830 but we always managed to get chairs with an umbrella. If you do not occupy your chair they remove the towel but leave your belongings. We took chairs that had a book on the side table. The book owner came and we explained no towels were on the chair. She knew the rules and said she would choose a beach chair instead ( along the beach are chairs but no umbrellas). We were thrilled she was so nice. The breakfast buffet is standard and plentiful. All the choices were delicious. No flies or ants anywhere. You may see an occasional meandering water monitor but they walk past you. The gym is immaculate and adequately equipped. The spa is wonderful with well- trained staff. We had dinner there a few times and the food was very good. There are places in the little streets behind the hotel and along the beach and next door, but Twin Lotus food was better though a bit more costly. Happy Hour drinks were good. We had a Go Dive snorkel dive tours to Koh Haa and a car ride to Old Town. Recommend both. The people in Old Town were exceptionally nice and the little museum is quaint. Eateries along their street are good. Allow two hours for Old Town not including the drive to and from. The next time we stay at Twin Lotus we will go to Phi Phi but have been before. Twin Lotus has many books to borrow located inside breakfast restaurant, There are buggies to drive you to and from your room or villa if you have mobility issues. Do not bring glass bottles or glass to the swimming pool. Any wait staff will give you a plastic mug or ”glass” to drink your beer or drink in the pool or at the pool. Please read the rules at pool entrance and follow them to keep yourself and others safe. The resort is mostly European people and everyone, young couples and older ones, singles, and all were cordial and respectful.

We have been coming to the Pimalai for 20 years and it never fails to deliver. We were lucky enough to spend 15 days at the resort this time, and it just seems to get better and better. Its hard to put your finger in what makes The Pimalai so unique. It has a genuine rustic Thai charm, combined with the efficiency of a well run Western hotel. The balance is perfect and never disappoints. It could be the stunning beach, the tranquil setting, the crystal clear waters, the fantastic food or the delicious cocktails at happy hour that make it so amazing, but I think it’s actually the incredible staff that really make you feel like you are one of the family, that really sets this place apart. The staff can not do enough for you. Even the gardeners (who work tirelessly to keep the grounds looking beautiful) stop to say hello when you walk past. There has been a change of guard since last year. The lovely French Manager Franck has handed over to the equally charming new French manager Brice. The transition has been seamless and the hotel is in safe hands. We managed to do a few things this time that we’ve never done before. I did a wonderful Thai cooking class with the head chef. What an experience. One I’d recommend to anyone. We also did a sunset snorkelling trip to Koh Ha. This was spectacular. The fish we saw were incredible, an the guys on the boat were so helpful. Then followed by a sunset cruise back to the hotel. Just WOW!! As always the food in the restaurants was delicious. I get the feeling that it’s only going to get better with the new food and beverage manager putting his mark on the menus. As always, we didn’t want to leave, and we can’t wait to get back.

The hotel service is very good, they are very enthusiastic, and they greet us when they see people. My mother is allergic, so I helped my mother replace all the scented bedding. The room is very clean and tidy, and all the rooms can see the sea. I found that the sea view of the smallest villa room will be partially blocked, but the mountain better. My room is on the top, and my mother is in the first row facing the beach, with a good view. The hotel has a swimming pool and a restaurant. The environment is very quiet and beautiful. In a small bay, the waves are not big enough to go into the water. The food in the restaurant is very good and the price is not expensive. It is about the same price as I went to the Diamond Cliff Restaurant. We ate three meals in the hotel. The hotel has a car to send to all parts of the island, and each place has a price list. We chartered a car for half a day and four hours, 2,500 baht. Go to the beach 10 kilometers away, 400 baht one way, I think the price is also very good. You can call the hotel to pick it up at Saladan Pier. This is free, but it seems that it is not delivered. Horse * chicken needs to be reserved, very cheap, Thai massage technique is very good, only 600 baht per person for 50 minutes. And it feels very good to face the sea. The elder sister who massages is very careful and will observe your various expressions to pay attention to the severity. My dad gave an early tip of 100 baht, and actually gave him an extra 20 minutes.

This is our 4th hotel out of 7 on this particular trip but sadly comes in a bit lacking for me, I had very high expectations. Firstly on check we asked about hiring a moped. The girl on the tours desk barely looked up from her phone and said “no”. We managed to rent one down the road at Miami but this is the first hotel I’ve ever stayed in Thailand that doesn’t help with motorbike rental. We didn’t approach her for anything else as for me, first impressions last. Our room was okay, can’t imagine when booking why I thought a bath on the balcony was a good idea! My bad! There was tons of wardrobe space and the bed and pillows were comfy. Lacked conditioner & body lotion which I’ve found in other hotels. Generally the room was a bit tired and needed a good deep clean. The bathroom mirror hadn’t been cleaned since the last guest and we had ants around the sink on day three. The shower had very intermittent water temperatures and had black mould at the bottom near the drain. Also tea/coffee spills on the floor that hadn’t been mopped. The communal areas I also found to be grubby and unkempt. No-one sweeps up leaves and they get mingled with bits of rubbish. The sunbed areas aren’t mopped so drink spillages give sticky dirty patches. You get the gist. Breakfast was really good, plenty of choice and half decent coffee. I just found the ambience to be generally quite standoffish and unfriendly, apart from Mr Bunty who was lovely. Most days we went out to Horizon Bar on the beach, much nicer vibe. There are no showers or foot washes between the beach and the pools which results in the pool being full of sand. All in all I have been disappointed, for the price I expected better. Small improvements would make this hotel much better.

A hotel with a beautiful garden by a very nice beach. Nice swimming pools, normal food, nothing fancy. However, in Thailand it is best to be in the city. The rooms are very large, you have to wait a bit for hot water, but I assume that in Ko Lancia they don't know the water circulation system 🙈 The hotel is worth recommending, definitely a plus, as a starting point for various trips around Ko Lanta and the surrounding islands. Ko Lanta itself, I am delighted with the climate, views, cuisine, and very nice Thai people. From trips I recommend snorkeling or diving to Ko Ha, Ko Bida, Phi Phi. Super kayak trip in the Andaman sea and mangrove forests. A visit to the elephant sanctuary is also interesting. Trips bought at local offices, much cheaper than from Itaka's office. Thailand is amazing, I will definitely come back to it.

Facilities: complete. There was a power outage one day. It took three hours to fix it. We were changed to another room at 12 o'clock in the middle of the night. We didn't ask for it and didn't care. We didn't change it and almost died of heat. Hygiene: Satisfied, I forgot to clean up the room for us after a day out Environment: very good. It is divided into two parts, the upper part and the lower part. There is a sea view on the mountain, and a room directly connected to the swimming pool at the bottom. It is recommended to live on the mountain, but it is a bit troublesome to take a shuttle bus Near the restaurant on the mountain Service: The hotel is close to the pier, a taxi is 70 baht per person, there is no pick-up and drop-off, but there is a reservation desk, you can book a car

The most satisfying hotel of this Tyrande trip is the Layana Hotel on Koh Lanta. It is quiet and comfortable. It is only for adults. The beach is 40 minutes away from the room. The restaurant is also facing the sea. The breakfast is rich in variety , Watching the sea while eating delicious food is so healing! Sindee, the hotel housekeeper, is a Chinese who has worked in Thailand for many years. He is warm and kind, which makes us feel very safe. The other hotel staff are also very enthusiastic. Our flight time is just in line with the hotel pick-up time, and the pick-up girls have hotels The nanny car picked us up, and the general manager came out to see us off before we left. Next time I have a chance to visit Koh Lanta, I would like to continue to live here. The price/performance ratio is very high!

Everything was to our likes: beach, nearby restaurants, room, cleaning etc. The wifi was sometimes good and a few times less so. The breakfast is very good, both the food and the service. We especially enjoyed our walks in the area on the opposite site of the main road. In between the main road an the hills you walk soon enough in an area with farms, rubber trees and no tourists. The app Maps.me helps to find these smaller paths and roads.
