HHenry from Toronto, CanadaThis is a brand new hotel in a developing city. Everything in the hotel was modern. My room was quite large and the TV was gigantic. The free laundry facilities were the nicest I've seen during my 7 week trip in China. I tried the breakfast one morning, and it was decent. The hotel seemed quite empty, likely because not many people and businesses have moved into the area yet. I did find a few restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. If I'm in the area again, I would stay at this hotel again.

LLuquanliuru簡直是太寶藏了，濟南開車去大同計劃兩天到，就找了淶源歇腳，沒想到會住到這麼漂亮的院子，在院子裏散步都不捨得回屋。老闆兩口子人又熱情又耐心，種了一院子的花花草草，還有百年牡丹。早餐還專門去買了當地特色很好吃，吃的很舒服。晚上在淶源湖看了打鐵花水上飛人大型燈光秀，樂隊表演，玩到晚上十點都不覺得累。比刻意攻略玩的都開心。玩太嗨了後悔民宿照片拍太少了，衞生做的很乾凈。有機會還會來這裏。

GGośćThis stay truly exceeded all expectations. As foreigners visiting Citadines Baoding for the first time, the overall experience couldn’t have been better — it was absolutely top-notch 👍. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with a sense of warmth and genuine hospitality. The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful and attentive. The hotel also provides a complimentary fruit platter, which was a very nice and thoughtful touch. The room is well equipped with a capsule coffee machine, and there is even a washing machine inside the room, making the stay especially convenient for families and longer visits. Another major highlight is the room layout. In addition to the bedroom, there is a separate small living area. This design is a big plus — my husband can watch TV or work in the living space without disturbing my rest, which greatly enhances comfort and privacy. Overall, whether it was the attention to detail at the front desk, the comfort and quality of the accommodation, or the excellent food and beverage service, this hotel truly delivered on all fronts. It’s absolutely an ideal choice for business or families traveling with children, and we would highly recommend Citadines to anyone visiting Baoding.

GGośćThe hotel allowed check-in time very late at night (I checked in at about 11:30 pm) and the concierge still functioned well at such a late hour. The bed was really big for a single person. The hotel emphasized that a visitor will be enjoying French life-style in its stay there though there is neither a French word nor French TV program to be found inside the hotel room. I was expunged from the swimming pool on the 4/F solely because I forgot to bring my swimming cap (I had my swimming suit on), and had to cut short my swimming time after my failure to borrow a cap from the staff there. Moreover, the pool water was too cold. The breakfast buffet was good and contained a variety of foodstuffs and drinks of Chinese preferences and origins. However, there was a lack of exotic foodstuffs, e.g. Japanese style, Vietnamese style, European style, etc. The flash-type French dance, about 15 min. in duration, in the hotel foyer at 6:00 p.m. was extraordinary, attractive and delighting.

QQueenNatWooWe had a great time at the Holiday Inn Baoding. We arrived late in the evening. You know it’s a great trip when you have so much fun you forget to take photos. Checkin was a smooth process, there was a market store were you can get gifts, Lana is, drinks. Toiletries and etc. We received a free car wash that we used when we checked-out. It’s located on the property. The hot springs is located in another building that was a quick walk. This place is adult and kid friendly. Although you are in the middle of nowhere the city is just a quick drive. We did a little shopping at the shoe store. The room was comfortable and spacious. It’s great for families, our 13yr old son loved it.

GGlenysMThe Modern Crystal Hotel in Baoding is only a 2 minute walk to & from Baoding Railway Station and there are lots of small shops and places to eat, as well as a shopping mall nearby which includes an Apple store! The hotel is quite old and some parts of the rooms I saw were badly in need of refurbishing, but the customer service is excellent. Every staff member I dealt with during my 3 night stay was wonderful …. the Reception staff, and the lovely ladies who clean the rooms and work in the dining room were all consistently and naturally extremely helpful and friendly to me ☺️ The Reception staff ask if you use WeChat, which is great, because you can message them if you need to ask anything and they respond immediately. One of the young guys on Reception went out of his way to help me when the sole of my shoe came away from my shoe, by trying to find a shoe repair shop (there wasn’t one) and then finding & ordering shoe repair glue on Amazon China for me and delivering it to me in my room an hour later! That kind of service is really heartwarming to a foreign traveller 💜 There is a hotel laundry available for guests to use, which was great! BYO laundry detergent. The only real issue - and it’s a major issue - was that smoking is allowed (and encouraged) in the hotel, which, as an Australian, I find shocking and quite unacceptable in this day & age of global “no smoking” health laws. The first room I was allocated smelt so badly of cigarette smoke, I couldn’t stay in it and requested a clean smelling room. The Reception staff complied immediately, and the 2nd room was much better, although it also had a very faint cigarette smell which was not ideal because it spoils the enjoyment of the room, and a No Smoking room should not smell of cigarette smoke at all, but I assume that every room was probably the same. Even the lifts & foyers on each floor smelt badly of cigarette smoke, and it wasn’t nice to see ashtrays everywhere. I have found the same problem in other hotels in China on this visit, more than ever before, and it’s really not pleasant for those of us who hate the smell of cigarette smoke and also get headaches from the horrible smell. It’s a shame, because no matter how excellent the customer service is, the cigarette smoking would prevent me from booking there again, or recommending it to anyone. Pity 😟
