Its meant to be a luxury-ish short weekend getaways before my job starts as my partner can't take a long leave.
The delux double room is a huge disappoin**emt.Understably, it is a very premium location and other guest probably pay a lot more. However, I wouldn't think of paying over £300 to get a room feeling like a old day servant's room. Being placed at the roof extension room with the view mostly blocked, the floor makes the typical old wooden cracking noise as we walk. The curtain, carpet and bathroom are not in the best condition. The glass on top of the table and desk are not well fitted.
Another thing is that, without any previous notice, the spa closed foe maintenance the morning we leave. The fake plants make it look less luxury than its branded.
The plus side, it is kind of inclusive which the spa pool, gym and breakfast are included. The breakfast is quite nice if you like English breakfast or they have some basic buffet.

Beautiful, iconic property. Love the room, the grounds, the restaurant/bar and the house cat. It was a short walk to the Chris**as market and the highlights of Bath. I especially loved my late night Old Fashion, best i habe ever had!

Best place I've ever stayed. The Staff were amazing and would do anything for us. so friendly and the photos online do not do it justice. Spar is amazing

We didn’t get any VIP or Gold benefit trea**ent. Informed of our anniversary, but they put us in basement room where construction workers were passing by our windows, and had no privacy or views. Very disappointed in their lack of attention to our needs.

Thie building is beautiful, a must see even if you don’t stay here. The gardens in back are beautiful any season. The staff makes you feel special and promptly fills any need.Yes, it’s expensive but making a reservation considerably ahead of time saves some money. I had a great meal, but I didn’t use the spa this time.
