"This hotel is part of a chain, so you can count on the quality being consistent across the board. Its prime location in the heart of the old town makes it incredibly convenient for walking to the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, and the River Avon. Despite early May not being peak season, the hotel was quite popular with a high occupancy rate. Breakfast is served on the ground floor in the lobby, and while it can get very busy during peak hours, it's always well-organized. They offer a full English breakfast with all the usual trimmings. The rooms aren't small, but trying to open and lay flat two 28-inch suitcases might feel a bit cramped. We booked two twin rooms and one double room, staying for two nights, and found all the services to be excellent – clean, tidy, and quiet."

The hotel is very quirky and our room was very well furnished with a huge bed, feather pillows, Nespresso and even a Dyson hairdryer set up at a dressing table. "The apartment is lovely, but it was noisy, hot (no fans either!) and the beds were like concrete! It was clean and tidy for the most part but the towels smelled of damp washing so we went out and got our own. I wouldn't recommend it - spend a bit more and go closer into town."

Behind it, there's a large green park, and at the end of the street, you'll find a museum that was once a filming location for a popular BBC show.
