„I genuinely think this hotel is great! The room was clean and tidy, spacious enough that it didn't feel cramped at all. The mattress was just right, not too soft and not too hard, so I slept really soundly. The front desk staff, especially one of the ladies, had an amazing service attitude – warm, patient, and efficient. The hotel environment is quiet, and the soundproofing is good, so my rest wasn't disturbed at all at night. The surrounding area has convenient transportation, with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby. The price was also very reasonable. Overall, the experience far exceeded my expectations. I had a very comfortable stay and highly recommend it to everyone!”

HHappiHallWe had a wonderful five-day stay at The Outside Hotel by Lake Fuxian. Our two hosts, were absolutely outstanding — friendly, generous, and full of local knowledge. We stayed in a lovely balcony room overlooking the lotus fields. The room was spotless, the setting was peaceful, and the hospitality genuinely exceptional. They also serve great coffee. For those who like the outdoors there is lovely walking all around. We've been travelling through China for two months now and this has been our favourite accommodation so far - and the breakfast noodles were the best! Highly recommended for a relaxing stay.

If the location was not so remote from practically everything (except the industrial environment around it), the overall impression would have been much more powerful. But the location makes sense if you want to stay anywhere between the larger urban area of Yuxi and its southern suburban zones, where you may experience the popular lifestyle and annual summer festivities (such as Torch Festival) of Yu people and other Chinese national minorities inhabiting this region.

OOri IdanI highly recommend Joy hotel. I stayed at the Jia Yue Deluxe Suite and it's great. Two spacious rooms with all amenities. The hotel service is excellent. The front desk personnel are very kind and helped me throughout my stay. They even helped me change my booking and get a refund from trip.com. The hotel's specialty is that it offers both breakfast and lunch as part of your stay. The restaurant's two female chefs are really charming and they prepare the most delicious food. The only drawback of the hotel is the lack of a laundry room, but there are several laundry shops not far away. In sum, I had a lovely stay. Hope to get back soon 🙏🏻

GGośćWe are American expats living in Hong Kong and came to Kunming area for our school’s Easter holiday. We cannot say enough about this beautiful hotel, located in a picturesque village along the northeastern coast of Fuxian Lake. Positives: 1. the location is AMAZING. The village itself feels very Mediterranean and houses over 30 boutique-style hotels. 2. This specific hotel has the most beautiful Chinese garden. My husband and I spent ample time just sitting in the garden chatting and looking at the beautiful flowers. They also have a basket swing our kids played on. 3. The design of the hotel is beautiful…..thatched roofing and wooden doors on the outside, reeded ceilings with wooden beams on the inside…..it all looked so warm and lovely. 4. Our specific room was a 2-level lake view family suite that had a terrace outside the upper level bedroom (which was the “master”). The view from this upper bedroom was so gorgeous….prime view of the lake. 5. The bathroom in our suite was modern and seemed to have some kind of heating fan over the shower area which was an added bonus. 6. The breakfast was traditional Chinese style. By this time, we were at the end of our trip and were a bit tired of rice noodles for breakfast (we are used to western-style breakfasts), but as soon as we tasted this hotel’s rice noodles, it was easy to forget we were tired of them. They were delicious! The owner also served us steamed milk and some kind of sweet steamed bread. It was all very tasty! Negatives: I truly do not have any. And I usually always have something I critique about hotels. But this place was truly a 5-star stay for us. It was gorgeous and the owner was so sweet.

GGośćI intended this trip to be my two day getaway from the city, where I could relax and swim, and i got to do at least one of those things. The area itself is quiet so if that’s what you seek, you will find it. For most of my time I walked the lake and stayed at the hotel. The only thing to do, was to book a boat to the island in the middle of the lake or eat. I wish they would let people swim, but that’s not allowed at the moment. The staff were helpful and polite and did everything they could to help. The aesthetic of the rooms and the hotel are pleasing. Maybe add some different breakfast options, but other than that, it was very good, clean, and relaxing

QQifuwonijiuwandanla1. My family and I finally got to experience the 'most beautiful Hilton' on this trip. Built right by the lake, you can walk down the steps directly to the lakeside for a stroll. We went twice, once in the evening and once in the early morning, and the environment was fantastic. Watching the lake, as vast as an ocean, feeling the breeze and listening to the waves was delightful and relaxing. 2. The room layout was also well-planned, and the balcony overlooked the hotel grounds and the lake, offering expansive views. The service was excellent, with a warm and enthusiastic attitude. Every staff member we encountered during our stay greeted us warmly. 3. They even offered a complimentary travel photography experience, where we got to try on ethnic costumes, leaving us with wonderful memories. This was a pleasant surprise and exceeded our expectations.
