Matsuyama – hotele ze śniadaniem

„This hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable – it's directly across from Okaido and right next to the airport bus stop. Truly a prime spot! It offers excellent accessibility to major attractions like the 1-day bus tour, Matsuyama Castle, and Dogo Onsen. I appreciated the thoughtful services they offered, such as welcome drinks from 3 PM to 10 PM, one free alcoholic drink per night from 6 PM to 7:30 PM, and Ochazuke from 9 PM to 11 PM. It doesn't seem to be a new hotel; rather, it appears to be a rebranded property taken over by a different group from the former Tokyu Rei Hotel. However, there were a few disappointing aspects: 1. While I understand the trend of eco-plans and not servicing rooms for consecutive nights to a certain extent, not getting any service for a three-night stay was quite hard to comprehend. This was a significant drawback compared to other hotels of similar caliber. (Other comparable hotels typically don't service for two nights but do on the third, or offer a refund of around 300 yen per night or alternative services if you opt out of consecutive-night cleaning.) 2. The hotel was still under construction. The first-floor entrance and second-floor restaurant were inaccessible due to ongoing work. 3. The air conditioning was a serious issue. The temperature simply wouldn't go down, and the AC unit made an excessively loud noise. The number of available circulators was also limited, and I only managed to borrow one on my third night (you can't reserve them, so you just have to keep asking). If possible, I'd recommend spending a bit more to stay at ANA Crowne Plaza, Candeo, Dormy Inn, or Daiwa Roynet directly across the street instead. The staff members I encountered were all friendly, which is commendable, as they are simply following hotel policies set by upper management.”

„A hotel that gives a 5 star feel. Warm welcoming from the moment we reach till we leave the hotel. The hotel breakfast was good too. Located within walking distance from the train station and shopping street. Overall was a wonderful experience.”

„A moderately sized hotel in a convenient location, easily accessible by car. Parking is available — just give your parking ticket to the front desk, and they will charge ¥1,000 per day. When leaving, present the ticket again and they’ll issue an additional pass based on the total parking duration. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is of a standard size for Japan. The downside: the towels had a faint smell of cigarette smoke.”

„The experience was good enough the hotel and the food wasn’t too bad. The hot spring on the top floor is an absolute delight and we didn’t stay in the room much we were almost out, so it was just a place for us to rest our feet and get a good night sleep and that just did the trick. Everything was fine hotel staff were good. Everything was great.”

„Conventient location; 10 minute walk to nearest bus station, and about 30 minutes max travel time to anywhere we wanted to go! Room was clean and compact; but the double bed is quite squeezy if you're fitting two people inside. Buffet breakfast is 1300¥ if you inquire the day before you intend to eat. It is 1500¥ if you buy it on the day itself. Accidentally booked a smoking room; but the staff were kind enough to change it for us once they had a room.”

„Staff is helpful with parking, parking charges is a bit on high side of 1200Yen as compared to those public carpark nearby. Additional charges for 1-2hr at 200Yen/30mins after 1100hr checkout, could have been waived as a service. Check-in / Check out process was smooth and room size was big. Location was great as just right next to shopping street. Overall, good hospitality from staff.”

„This site of the hotel is very good. It is just one minute' walking distance from the train stop and easily found. It is just at the shopping area and there are a lot of restaurants nearby. Besides, the breakfast is tasty and full of variety. I was very satisfied with this hotel.”

„This hotel is right next to the coffee shop on the left side when you exit Matsuyama-shi Station tram stop. If you're coming from Matsuyama Port, you can take the tram from Takahama Station directly to the hotel. The facilities are quite new as it just recently opened. Every afternoon, guests can enjoy complimentary welcome drinks, and there's free ice cream in the evenings, which is a great draw. The hotel's location is excellent for getting around; Matsuyama-shi Station, which has many buses to Shikoku, Tokyo, Osaka, and Okayama, is right downstairs.”

„Amazing accommodation nearby key tourist sites and shopping areas in Matsuyama. It’s a 5-minute walk to the Okaido shotengai and 10 minutes to the ropeway/cable car station for Matsuyama Castle. Dogo Onsen is a 15-20 minute tram ride away. The rooms are clean, well-kept, and decently sized (by Japanese standards). The staff are courteous and professional. The breakfast is fantastic with many different options.”
