The service and the food are very excellent. The rooms are comfortable and the AC can be very cold if you need it to be unlike those hotel rooms that don’t get sufficiently cold. Everyone is very courteous and you are greeted as a madam/sir everywhere. The service at the lounge is impeccable and is worth the upgrade. You can get great susnet views while sipping cocktails. The photo doesn’t do justice. Shout out to Ben, Bry, Joey, and Rae. Don’t forget to leave tips especially if you are happy with the service. Because everything is free at the lounge, people tend to forget to take out their wallets. Having said that, not everything is rosy. The hotel has slightly run down due to age and most likely needs a refurbishment. The bathroom has hard water stains and the tiles have this layer of fog/dullness on it. The towel color has seen better days. The chairs on the 4th floor dining has stains. For sure there is some improvement to be made on the appearance part. There were already improvements being made on lighting and water pipes during my stay - these are done during times that won’t inconvenience you. Don’t let the comments on the improvements discourage you for giving this hotel a try. This hotel is one of the top hotels in the city. Run down does not mean it isn’t clean.

Booked the hotel for a fellow colleague due to good rating in Agoda. When checked on other sites like Trip, Google review, etc, it seems that the ratings on Agoda is “too positive”. The room assigned smelled very musky with walls and ceilings covered with mound. The air con was leaking so by the next morning, they will be a pond below the air con. The wall beneath the air con feels like it can fall apart anytime. Cleanliness is passable but might be unacceptable to others. Moulds in the shower area is terrible. Overall, able to sleep for the night but nothing more. Likely won’t stay here again.

we went to this on dec 28, 2021 at 2pm. hoping that we will just check in because were already tired from travelling from zamboanga to CDO. and we already paid our reservations 2 weeks before our trip. yet, when arriving at their counter. their front desk employee told us that there were no more available rooms. (see how stupid their ways of processing works ? and we cant even park our vehicle properly. their free parking means that its 2 blocks away from the actual hotel -_-. and they didnt even mention that. but the worst part is. on our 2nd day of vacation. my family and i decided to go to seven seas water park. that means we need to leave early and to leave our hotel for the whole day. and so we did. on the 3rd day. dec 30, 2021. my brother notice that his money worth 5000 thousand pesos was taken from his wallet inside our room. where he left it. and so after noticing that we got rob. we decided to confront the hotel asking them to show their footage of their cctv. and they denied us. they said, ( only their manager has the password for their cameras.) and so what we did is we ask for the number of their manager to inform them about our situation. when speaking to the manager. She was already screaming at my mom through their phone saying that my mom violated their boundary, saying that she trespass to their counter. do you guys hear how stupid thats sounds ? were the ones who got rob and yet their the ones who are more angrier . to fact that the room has only one entry and its the front door of that room, its means that they used the spare key of our room to get inside and stole my brothers money. so my brothers and my mom went to the nearest police station to report the incident. after reporting it, 2 of the police officers went with them from the police station to the hotel. after the police office confronted them , they immediately attend the police office with their IT head to access their cctv. why didn't they do this when we were asking for it ? . after hours of checking the cctv they told us (my family and the police) that their cctv are not recording anything.

My flight got canceled in CDO and the airlines I booked with placed us in this hotel. I was honestly disappointed at first because I had a very bad experience here two years ago. But, it has apparently improved by a huge deal since. The staff was better, the breakfast was a buffet, they had brewed coffee, and the coffee shop was pleasant. I guess pick a room with a balcony. It is so much better than the one without. This reminds me of the glory days of the old Cagayan de Oro

I enjoyed my stay here. I think the only problem I had was with the shower cause the heater didn't want to turn on. Also, I asked for the room to be cleaned and I wasn't that satisfied with the cleaning, but all in all the experience was good for the budget spent. The place is near lots of good restos and commute is easy here. The staff is also really nice.

Located in the heart of downtown Cagayan de Oro, just near a university this Hotel attracts visitors due to its student-friendly economy. Although I did not ask my host how much he paid, (because we are a group attending a one and a half day workshop the venue of which is the university beside it) for my overnight stay in the hotel's single room, twin bed, I could imagine it must be less than Php1thou/night. It is actually the second time I stayed in this hotel. the first one when we were four in one room. So, I already knew what to expect. It would help a would-be visitor to this hotel that: 1) Floors are not very clean, so I suggest bring a cleaning rug with you. 2) Beddings are not so immaculately clean. Mine had a brown bogger-like that clung in the sheet. Learn to be patient. Anyway, it will only be for overnight. 3)And, this is very important. Don't be shy to ask for soap and toilet paper because it is not provided in your room. The reception desk supplies you with this very important basic amenities. Therefore 4) bring your own shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste and your pair of slippers. Important for every stay in a hotel is comfort and a clean bathroom. The airconditioning functions but is noisy. But it's alright. The bathroom is clean yes. That I guarantee. So, over-all I would say, if one is not so picky, the GV hotel is the place to stay when one is on a tight budget.

Price: 10/10 Staff/service: 10/10 Cleanliness: 5/10 The moment I saw the building, I knew that it is old and probably would smell old. I was right. Although the staff was helpful and I did not see any trash in the room... There were flying insects and mosquitoes. Apart from that, the restroom could use some more cleaning. I took the Superior room thinking it would be better than the others but I guess, the bed is the only thing that's different. It is indeed a budget inn. Also, bring something to cover the pillow/sheets as there are visible stains on them. Overall, if I knew, I would have chosen the more expensive options. Also, if you are working and will use the internet, make sure you have a backup as the internet is only good for social media.

You need to call the owner of that unit and ask the room number and parking lot number incase you bring a Car before coming in because trip does not mention/include what room number you were staying and it’s beyond my expectations. when we arrived it’s almost 11pm due to delayed flights and the Guard doesn’t let us in because we don’t have the room number and owners name of the unit,I wasn’t expecting that because I thought there were front desk that accommodate us when we arrived there and only show our booking information and that’s all,but it’s totally different. And so, that’s the time we call the owner of the unit letting them know we are there lol but considering the time we checked in I think she’s nice and considerate, and again I thought it’s free parking because that’s what trip says haha but it’s not,because the owner ask charges for parking fees and so we paying it again, but what I like about this place is that they have kitchen utilities, so it’s really great if you plan of buying and cooking food for yourself/families upon staying there for couple of days and to add up,there are also extra beds and blankets too,and over all it’s a nice place.

Excellent maintenance. When I was running late, and breakfast buffet was closing, the restaurant called my room to see if I wanted to eat; They kept the buffet open for me. You don't find service like that everywhere. The Good: safe in room; mattresses a little hard but okay; shampoo, lotion, toothpaste and toothbrush, soap, extra TP roll included; phone in room and bathroom; hangers in closet; refrigerator in room; bottled water, coffee and tea supplies in room. Only one grounded outlet in the room, but was at the desk, so was able to plug grounded computer outlet in. I was not able to verify outlet near sink was GFCI protected. Bidet. Western style toilet; entire room and bathroom were clean. I was happy that even though I hadn't used both bottles of water before house keeping came, they added 2 more bottles per day. As everywhere in PH, don't drink the tap water. The Bad: The room was a little sp**** and lacked the high-quality aesthetic and art that the common areas have. There were no hand towels or washcloths. The TV did not work (I did not contact Front Desk to resolve the issue, but I am sure they would have). Shower handset needs updating. Tip: Don't trust GPS to get you here -- Google Maps has road names wrong. Trust your driver. Call and book directly with the hotel to get discount rates-- not available on agoda, or CapitalOne Travel, etc. I would have extended my stay, but they were fully book the next days. I will definitely be back! Note to management: to become 4-star, improve mattresses, improve room asthetic, improve AC on 3rd floor common area, improve shower area and include wash cloth and hand towels.

The location is very good. Less than 5 minutes walk from Gaisano Mall. Easy to check in. Room is okay that is enough for 2-3 days sleep. Price is good. They have towel,soap and shampoo. Located in the heart of downtown Cagayan de Oro, just near a university this Hotel attracts visitors due to its student-friendly economy. Although I did not ask my host how much he paid, (because we are a group attending a one and a half day workshop the venue of which is the university beside it) for my overnight stay in the hotel's single room, twin bed, I could imagine it must be less than Php1thou/night. It is actually the second time I stayed in this hotel. the first one when we were four in one room. So, I already knew what to expect. It would help a would-be visitor to this hotel that: 1) Floors are not very clean, so I suggest bring a cleaning rug with you. 2) Beddings are not so immaculately clean. Mine had a brown bogger-like that clung in the sheet. Learn to be patient. Anyway, it will only be for overnight. 3)And, this is very important. Don't be shy to ask for soap and toilet paper because it is not provided in your room. The reception desk supplies you with this very important basic amenities. Therefore 4) bring your own shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste and your pair of slippers. Important for every stay in a hotel is comfort and a clean bathroom. The airconditioning functions but is noisy. But it's alright. The bathroom is clean yes. That I guarantee. So, over-all I would say, if one is not so picky, the GV hotel is the place to stay when one is on a tight budget.

My flight got canceled in CDO and the airlines I booked with placed us in this hotel. I was honestly disappointed at first because I had a very bad experience here two years ago. But, it has apparently improved by a huge deal since. The staff was better, the breakfast was a buffet, they had brewed coffee, and the coffee shop was pleasant. I guess pick a room with a balcony. It is so much better than the one without. This reminds me of the glory days of the old Cagayan de Oro

We went for the pool which is a decent-sized pool within CDO. We stayed for a night in their Lanai room which opens to the poolside so that's a plus for me but I did not like how the sheets, duvet cover, and pillowcases were stained. They need to dispose of them and get new sets because it's not white anymore. It's ghastly grey! But I love how their supply of hot water in the bathroom doesn't seem to run out. Aircon is damaged but is reeeeeaaally cold so I didn't mind the damaged flaps. Also they should have let us know ahead of time that their restaurant is open until 6pm only. We had to go outside to grab dinner.

Near a nice little town square. Made friends with little handicapped homeless guy around the corner. Brought him leftovers from restaurant & few pesos. He was very thankful, as was an older lady with her granddaughter. Food & pesos very helpful to them . Not a crime area, just inner city. Enjoyed the stay. Stayed December 2017 for @10 days.

At the lobby/reception- we were welcomed from the point we took our luggage out of the cab. Thanks to the man, security personnel who helped us. Checking in was very smooth and all details were well explained by the receptionist. Requested a room with HI-SPEED internet and yes, we were placed in a very cozy room. Room- perfect and amazing; with complete utilities. Clean and with a very comfy ambiance. Breakfast- this is a 4 star breakfast. And, thank you to Amor and Precious for being so accomodating. I was offered with coffee even if the breakfast was over. They offered me to clean the room which I politely declined because I am doing some important stuff. Still, they offered to change my pair of towels and additional utilities for the day. Great service ! Sure will be back here!
