Best Western Plus Port OCall Hotel

Check in took a bit of a long time but the staff was very helpful. Highlight of this hotel is definitely the water park. The water slides are so much fun for the kids and even though there is no lifeguard, the pool is relatively safe for 7 years old and above taken into account the depth of the pool. Remember to bring your floats if your kiddos cannot swim independently yet

The pool is not big and is mainly or kids playing rather than swimming. This is a good hotel for both business travelers and families.

Pretty family focused hotel. We had three families book a night so that we could go to dinner and do the water park. Price is reasonable for hotel and for restaurants. I would love to see plastic bags in rooms for wet swim suits, and lockers in the swimming pool to store personal items.

From the beginning, this stay has been horrible. We wish we stayed somewhere else, the reviews were decent so we decided to give it a try. There was a long wait to check in, there wasn't anyone in front of me, the front desk needed to answer 3 or 4 phone calls instead as there was no one to help him. I was given next to no information about any of the hotels information, other than a direction to find underground parking, which I was urged to use, making me think i chose an unsafe area of Calgary to stay in. As nothing was explained to me, I was unsure if parking numbers were assigned to room number or first come first serve, thinking they were by room number, we parked on the bottom. As a mom and little one, it was a very confusing frustrating time figuring out how to reach our room. I asked front desk prior if the parkade had elevators, he said yes. That was a lie. I found out none of the levels have an elevator. Depending on which level you park on, you have to find a sign for a lobby, go up or down more stairs with your luggage, find an elevator and find your room. We spent the first while looking for an elevator on our level that didn't exist with all of our belongings, a mom and small child, carrying luggage up flights of stairs to realize this door led outside in the opposite direction. A terrible start to this stay. The wo pools are a joke. One very small overcrowded pool, and one tiny "splash park." I overheard many other parents ccomplaining

Great place for a staycation. The pool was busy but not ever in an overwhelming way. Rooms were quiet. Overall great place for the family.

The hotel and pool were great, kids loved the pool. the sky harbour restaurant was questionable, service wasn’t the greatest and the supper buffet was terrible. The brunch buffet was decent though.

Have never stayed at Best Western, but was not satisfied that I was unable to use my Roku device on the TV, as it was blocked from allowing HDMI devices be used on it. Have never had a problem at any other hotels till this stay. Channels were alright, mainly news, and the only movie channel wasn’t HD, appeared like standard definition. Other than that, room was clean, bathroom was set up nice, jacuzzi was an added bonus.

My kids absolutely loved the swimming area! The buffet was perfect and the jets lounge was a great option for dinner, all around great service and clean spacious rooms!
