Hampton Inn By Hilton Calgary Downtown ★★★
"This is a new hotel (2026) and its fresh new decor is very attractive. My King room offered a very large, wonderfully comfortable bed with excellent pillows of different firmness., A beautiful bathroom with large powerful walk-in shower, huge lit mirror and pump toiletries. The constant dim light from the electrical socket in the bathroom was useful to avoid switching on main lights at nighttime. A bathrobe option would have been nice but was not available. There was no large towel rail in the bathroom which would have helped dry damp bath towels. Plenty of drawer space and small clothes hanging area though 4 hooks in the hall area made up for this.There was a limited choice of tea in the room, though the coffee nespresso pods were good and offered decaf also. There is a well appointed gym on the 16th floor with towels and water available. Nice view. Breakfast was slightly disappointing as choice was relatively limited and fresh cut fruit ran out quickly and was apparently replaced with tinned (though I didn't experience this myself). Coffee was available all day on the 2nd floor restaurant. I would recommend and stay again. The staff were helpful and friendly."

"The location is great! They offer private airport transfers and it's a popular base for tour groups, which is super convenient as you don't have to constantly move around. There are also supermarkets nearby for easy shopping. For those planning a self-drive trip, it's not far from Highway 1, so everything is just perfect. My only slight disappointment was the lack of a hot water kettle in the room, which isn't ideal for us Asians who prefer hot drinks. Also, even though I only stayed one night, I was bothered by two Western girls. First, they were laughing loudly outside my door, then they knocked and ran away, only for me to open the door and see them laughing elsewhere with a phone propped up on the floor filming my doorway. Maybe it was some kind of YouTube prank! Anyway, I felt disturbed by them! I didn't feel comfortable filming them, but I hope the hotel takes this seriously."

"Had a delayed flight was able to book instantly with Trip.com. The front receptionist were very helpful and kind. I was extremely tired from my day. Without even asking they upgraded my room with a view. I was pleasantly surprised that not only do they have a whirlpool on their second floor but also a pool for you to enjoy. Had I know about this and been prepared for a swim I would have certainly enjoyed going for a dip."

The bathroom was very small in the room, but other than that, the room and service was great."
