Quiet and calm location. Great breakfast!

It was a great hotel that I would recommend, The view was fantastic and balcony not too noisy, plenty of sun loungers for guests, and they offer pool towels for 10euro deposit which is returned,the breakfast choice is unbelievable,also dinner amazing,we didn't have lunch, but had a snack at the pool during the day,

This was our second stay and it was actually better than our first. The hotel is beach front, it’s spacious, tastefully decorated and I love walking through the front door and seeing the pool and the sea ahead of me. The food is excellent, high quality, plenty of choice. You can eat healthily or you can pig out but it’s always fresh, well cooked and lots of it! We were half board eating in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner but the pool bar also serves great lunch time snacks, loved the freshly grilled sardines and prawns on the days we stayed around the pool or beach all day. Drinks wise cocktails around €8 and a great selection of wines that are reasonably priced; coffees and soft drinks were around the €2 mark I think. We hired bikes at the hotel for a couple of days and cycled to Salou once and Cambrils a couple of time, it was very reasonable at €12 for 24 hours. Cambrils market wasn’t great but the old town is definitely worth a visit. Also recommend a trip to Tarragona, plenty to see and the food market is definitely worth a visit. We had a couple of issues during our stay and the hotel were super helpful which I appreciated. As everyone says the hotel is spotlessly clean but I don’t understand why the teacups aren’t always changed daily when they have used? That is my only criticism. As this was our second (the first was in 2018) I thought this would probably be our last but we had such a lovely time we’ve booked for the same week next year!

Great hotel in the region of Villafortuney who h is in between Salou and Cambrils port. We stayed in room 1087 which is classed as a junior suite and we had two balconies. One at the sea side and one looking on the pool. Rooms are spotless and staff excellent. Good in restaurant is very good. Great selection. Something for everyone. Our waitress Vanessa was really attentive to everyone. Made us all feel so special. Only two lifts but never any bother getting a lift. Sun beds aplenty too even though people still queued up every morning to put their towels down as soon as the doors opened. The buses in to Salou/Tarragona and Cambrils Port stops right outside the hotel. It is 63 cents with the bus ticket which can be purchased in the plana shop opposite the hotel.

This hotel is fantastic, we are a couple in our mid 40’s and we were the younger guests which suited us, staying for a week and have no complaints! The hotel rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly cleaned each day, the food is outstanding with plenty of choice for breakfast and evening meals. The location is perfect for walking and access to bus routes in all directions . The beach is beautiful and not too busy. The hotel WiFi is a bit slow but good 5G networks in the area. We recommend this hotel and will be returning next year!

Went for 1 week May 2024. Hotel is and well kept. Seafront location is really super. Nice promenade 30min walk into Cambrils is lovely. Frequent Bus service with stops right outside the Hotel is fab. Service from staff was generally good. And we thought the food was really great. Downsides to the Hotel are: 1) Evening entertainment was pretty dire but at least they had some. 2) Bar area isn't terribly inviting or comfortable. It's rather clinical and lacks atmosphere. Furniture is dated (it was the same as they had 10yrs ago). 3) Bedrooms are very very small. 4) The Wi-Fi in the bedrooms is truly appalling for 2024. Sometimes you get nothing in the room at all. It’s OK in the foyer but, come on, there’s no excuse for dire Wi-Fi in this day and age. Need to invest in a decent number of routers! 5) The Pool Area is poor. There are insufficient sun loungers in the sunshine (as half the pool area is in constant shade) to service the number of guests. As a result it causes over-crowding with everyone dragging their beds into the Sunny patches. You're literally on top of one another (not nice) packed in like sardines. Also the door to the pool area is locked until 8.30am (supposedly to prevent people reserving loungers too early), but everyone just queues up ready to dash outside at 8.30am, it’s a bit cut-throat. And, of course, you always get that one smart-Alec who tries to circumvent the system by walking round the outside of the Hotel and sneaking in the back gate to put their towels down before 8.30am. Saw this a few times and it nearly caused a punch-up. People did complain to reception but the Hotel didn't do anything about it. Either have a rule and police it properly or don't have the rule! There were also those selfish individuals who reserved beds at 8.30am then went out, not coming back to claim their loungers until 1pm sometimes. Not on really, especially when there's already insufficient beds (in the Sun) for everyone. The Hotel do have a 40 min policy. If you leave your sunbed unattended for more than 40mins the towels are supposed to be removed to let someone else use it, but again the Hotel do not enforce this, which further exacerbates the sunbed wars. Again, either have the rule and police it properly or don't have the rule! Shame really. Hotel is lovely but the terrible Wi-Fi and the nightmare with the loungers really puts you off.

The hotel just in the beach, nice staff, wonderful variety of food, spacy rooms, free parking nearby, we really enjoy the stay here. We will sure come back, but more than for one week. The bus stop to Cambrils, Salou, Tarragona or Barcelona in front of the hotel.

Our Third visit to the Estival and it most certainly wont be our last. Another fantastic stay here. The room was spacious, stunning pool / sea view which we paid extra for and it was so worth it! Food was fantastic as always, you can always find something to eat, its fresh and the kitchen staff are wonderful. The pool area is spacious and there are lots of beds available, not forgetting being right on the beach front so you have this option too. I have to give a special mention to Patricia on reception, always so kind & helpful, Oscar Dario, Baltazar & Elna who work so so hard every single day, all the staff are incredible and work so hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We cannot thank you enough and look forward to seeing you all again in September.

This is a pretty good hotel, right on the blue flag beach, serving excellent food with top notch service! Sea is just in the backyard of this hotel; lovely sandy beach with a long promenade to walk/cycle in the evenings with family. Rooms are modern, very decent and well looked after. Reception staff are very good at providing the local info, guide and help out getting around. Urias, Patricia, Julia and Ingrid and others at the reception are quite warm and welcoming. Urias and Patricia go out of their way to help out the guests! Restaurant served us with a wide variety of dishes: (buffet style at regional counters): Mediterranean, Spanish as well as a few African, French and English dishes. Seafoods such as Prawns, Longesteins, Crabs, Escargots, clams, mussels and a variety of fresh fish will not let you down! On the meats side, there is no dearth for delicious delicacies such as: Rabbit, Veal, Poussin, piglets and the usual lamb, beef, pork, red&lean meats and chicken. Some varieties are cooked in beer, mandarin and chocolate sauce which heightens your taste buds for sure! Being a vegetarian, you get a wide variety of salads and cheeses, but don’t forget to ask the sous chefs and servers for details to make sure they are vegetarian (unfortunately I didn’t find any vegan). Everything seems to have been prepared from scratch in house; nothing artificial. A ton of gorgeous fresh tropical fruits always on the menu! Dessert counter is as delicious as you can find the plethora of cakes, pies, gelato and jellies! House keeping ladies are so good at their job (thank you Silvia for a wonderful smile and work).
