The food was not that great, and the snacks in the bar was the worst. It is Mexico, really stale corn chips in Mexico!!! There was no room service.

Overall great resort with good staff and fun crowd. Rooms are quite outdated and elevators are slow but other than that it’s great. If you want an amazing room you’ll be disappointed.

I enjoyed unlimited delicious food and kind staff. The color of sea was fantastic and the soft-icecream-like sand was very well managed.

The pools were amazing; clean, always chairs available, good temperature. The views of the sea from the pool were to die for! We appreciated the options to have a pool located in an area away from the main pools so it was quieter. We appreciated the variety of foods and the dining areas were always clean.

We stayed five nights. Everything was excellent. Staff, food service, entertainment. Hotel is clean. If you American there is hamburgers and fries for you. If you Italian there is pasta etc. I am European leaving in NY there was food for me😀. Never choose hotel based on bad reviews. I saw some not good and still took a chance. Thank you ALL staff for your excellent service. Will come back.

We've stayed at the RIU Cancun for many years and like everything about this resort. The staff and bartenders always welcome us back.

This property was the only one that was touted as being family friendly, but that wasn't really the case. They don't let you take any food upstairs nor do they offer any room service. Maybe I've been a little spoiled with my other trips to Cancun with my family, where I could get food at any time we wanted it.
The beach front is nice, but pretty small. They have a nice restaurant but it's almost impossible to get a table if you don't wait on line for an hour. Otherwise, you have to choose from their main buffett kitchen.

The resort would’ve been exceptional had there been better upgrades to the rooms and the food/drinks better quality. The food was terrible and that is putting it nicely. We had to eat off the resort after breakfast to eat. After the second night we could not take another day eating from the resort’s buffet. The drinks were hand and hand with the food. It was not desirable. The staff was friendly absolutely no compliant there. I want to give 5 stars off the friendliness but friendliness cannot feed me or make me like the drinks. The rooms can use some updating as well.
