We were booked for 3 nights for a friend's birthday. She was given a cute birthday dessert and Vuyo and her colleagues sang for her, it was lovely. The lighting is a bit dark in the rooms and the tvs are outdated with no streaming services. I also didn't like the open shower with no door. Their breakfast was lovely and overall the staff is friendly and welcoming.

The breakfast shop is very good. It's expensive. I don't have breakfast. I am close to 200 people. Belmond, I like the brand. The hotel is in the center of the mountain. I can see it directly from Table Mountain. I don't have much nonsense. The above picture is worthy of study.

We had booked this hotel part of a bigger 3 weeks trip across Africa for a beach escape between safaris: the property is well located, overlooking the beach, modern building. However, the service delivered is a bit too ”boutique” for the pricing: morning delivery of baked goods for breakfast at your door is nice but unpredictable... We had booked a suite with pool but discovered that it is sort of isolated from the hotel main building which as pros and cons. Also, Wifi, remote controls were initially not working, private pool was not heated, some sliding glass doors stuck etc... The property is visibly aging and the construction above during the day is sort of ruining the pool side experience... The common spaces are a bit cramped, the pool sides nice but bar service limited. If it were not for Charlisse (front desk) who saved the day every time with her attention and can-do attitude, the place would be a pretentious hot mess to avoid. Still a good hotel pick but it needs some work to justify the stiff price warranted...I don't mind paying but when quality is delivered.

Stayed here 2 nights over the weekend as a solo traveller on a business trip. Absolutely faultless. Set off the main road at the edge of Camps Bay, this is a private very well run hotel. The staff right from the off were very helpful, pleasant and couldn't do enough for me. The room was spotless with great amenities, a super view and quiet. I really enjoyed the breakfast options - well presented, great selection and of high quality. Arranged without fault taxi transport, massage and brilliant recommendation for a private tour (Theo). I would certainly come back to Ocean View House and I would recommend without hesitation.

Very quality hotel, modern decoration, remodeled villa. In the rich area of Cape Town, it is recommended to set the 201 room. It’s just in mid-September, the off-season, but the scenery is still beautiful. It is convenient to go to any attraction. Breakfast is especially good! Going every December to February, you have a room with a balcony.

The location is super good, the room facilities and services are average, the surroundings are safe, and there is a large shopping mall in the annex, which is convenient for shopping and suitable for tourism and business trips. The hardware facilities of the hotel are very good and very new, one room and one living room, the breakfast is semi-buffet, the standard is very high, and the taste is also good. The hotel is in the city center, walking distance to the exhibition center and the pier, there is Burger King downstairs, overall a very satisfactory stay.

GGuest UserI've stayed there a few nights, and return again & again; even contemplating a long stay. The place is clean; the communal kitchen & lounge area is inviting, the in-house pub & adjoining balcony is cosy and gives the feel of a private party, above the bustle of Long Street below. Communal bathrooms are OK, kept clean. I love the many nooks & turns & corners of the old house and the creaking wooden floors. But the guests are what make the place feel like a home away from home -- an eclectic mix of local & foreign visitors passing through the city. There's a feeling & atmosphere of being in a backpackers in a foreign city, somewhere abroad, making one feel as if one is on holiday, somewhere away from home. I love this place! It's become my accommodation of first choice, for a party night or two in the city.

This hostel meets the best European standards for hostels. It's very clean here. This applies to toilets, rooms and linen. The cabins are comfortable. Very warm (this is very important in South Africa!). Light, charging, storage of things. Excellent Wi-Fi. Nice navigation. The rooms are named by city. The idea is not original, but a win-win. The price includes breakfast. very good. Speaking of price, it's very reasonable. The staff (both Thomas and the other young man) are very friendly. They will help with advice if you contact them. In general, the atmosphere here is warm. Both literally and figuratively.

FFGTRTDThe location is good. Not too far from a Woolworths grocery store and a coffee shop. The coffee shop opens really early which is essential when loadshedding hits and you can't make coffee in the hotel. The coffee was inconsistently replenished so again, being near a Bootleggers coffee was necessary. The hotel doesn't have a generator so when there is load shedding, you will be affected. If you are going to arrive early, you won't be able to check in early as there was no one who could help us at the front desk until 3pm which is standard check in time. We ended up having lunch in the restaurant so we weren't too inconvenienced but if your flight is much earlier in the day, do be aware of this. Otherwise, not a bad stay and I would consider staying again.

RRobsThe apartment is spacious, clean and luxurious. Lovvvvvve the bathrooms. I had a very relaxing stay at the Residences at Crystal Hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was refreshing and had a wide selection of foods. The location is convenient, close to Canal Walk which we walked to often to buy whatever we needed to make our stay more enjoyable and visiting Hillsong Church opposite the road was an amazing experience.

Jjose luisThe hotel is located right next to where you take the ”Hop on Hop off bus” which is very good. It is between ”Green Market Square” and ”Long Street”. In this square, craft stalls are set up early in the morning. I have read complaints about the noise in the morning when setting up the stalls (since they have to set up early and take down after 5 pm) but in reality it is not annoying. I had a bad experience since at 7 pm I was robbed on the street between the hotel and the church that overlooks the Plaza. They stole my mobile phone. There are many people asking you to buy them food or give them food, be very careful. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is somewhat narrow, not very comfortable. On the day of my check-out there was no one at the hotel reception serving me. It was 5:50 am. There was a group arriving to check-in, but there was no staff at the reception to assist them. The pool is small, it is on the roof, but the area is really very small. The gym has the basics. Breakfast is correct, fruit, eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, breads and cereals. You can sit on the terrace or inside. They also had gluten-free bread upon request.

JJulian PeensThis bed and breakfast is in the ideal location to visit Simon’s town and its coastline however the actual set up of the bed and breakfast is a huge let down.
We arrived to find our room was not ready, once it was the place still looked unkempt, there was a bucket in the bath, the furniture had not been returned to its original locations well and the complimentary items seemed used.
On our second night there was load shedding a common occurrence however there seemed to be no precautionary measures taken and we had to use our phone lights to climb the three flights of stairs to our room only to find the rechargeable light (obviously for such occasions) had no batteries and was therefore useless. As South African citizens we fully understand the uncertainty of power but for the cost and normal clientele of this accommodation we really expected there to be more in place.
The meal times had been adjusted for the convenience of the staff who were on the premises compared to the welcome sheet details we received on arrival. The whole place seemed to be being run by support staff with no obvious manager on site for the three days we were there (we stayed over a weekend which I would assume to be a prime time)
There is about 4 parking sports in front of the building but they were not being used to their full potential and often we had to park a little further away.
Overall the location was the main positive. Considering the price we would have hoped to have better amenities and hope that the profile for this accommodation can be amended as there are no pools on the property unlike what the description had lead us to believe.
Luckily the charm of Simon’s town and the beaches made up for the serious lack of attention to detail and luxury you would assume a place this price and in this location would have.
3/10 would probably not go there again.

Before the Suez Canal was opened to navigation, ships traveling between Asia and Europe passed through the Cape of Good Hope. Extra-large oil tankers cannot enter the Suez Canal and still need to take this route. This place still retains its original appearance. Here you can see the huge waves and whirlpools caused by the confluence of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. In 1919, the Cape of Good Hope built the brightest lighthouse in Africa to guide passing ships. Visitors climbed to the top of the 238-meter-high Cape Point and overlooked the confluence of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, where the water and sky are one color and the smoke is vast.
Table Mountain
