The morning after the night before. It gives me great satisfaction to be able to pen a review of all things positive. Only a 1 night stop over en route to Scotland from Manchester. On arrival, front of house team Theo and Mel excelled. After a breeze of a check-in the first thing I noticed was the beautiful, spacious and most importantly clean Restaurant and bar area. Anybody staying here will not be disappointed. Thankfully dogs are welcome but kept away from main eating areas, a rule we were happy to adhere to. Theo in particular is a staff member Ibis/Accor should be extremely proud of. He was very knowledgeable about the chain and I could imagine all things Accor would be his specialised subject on Mastermind. I have stayed at the Travelodge down the rd and for a hotel of the same raring, the Ibis is streets ahead. I hope Management take the time to read this review and reward staff members (Accor)dingly. Well done!!!

Das Hotel liegt im Zentrum, das Personal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich. Dennoch zeigt sich hier ein deutlicher Investitionsrückstand. Unser Zimmer war nach hinten gelegen und hatte ziemlich verrottete Fenster mit Einfachverglasung. Das Duschbad klein und eng. Die Möbel und sonstige Einrichtung alt, aber immerhin funktionsfähig. Der Aufzug funktionierte allerdings nicht, was vielen älteren Gästen unserer Reisegruppe Probleme bereitete. Auf dem Flur vor den Zimmern breiteten sich gerade die Maler aus.

Just needed somewhere close to Carlisle Station. This was perfect. I wanted to leave my luggage while I went into town… normally I could but it was closing for Christmas. This sort of information should be available before. It has what I can only describe as a safe but ANTIQUE lift. Everything is old but safe and functional…. So very small town British. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was great.

The staff were very friendly, room & beds were clean but a little sp**** & needing some renovation. The breakfast was lovely, plentiful & made to order, choice of cereal, toast, cooked breakfast, tea & coffee. The only downside was the boom booming of the music from the bar going on to the early hours.
