"I booked a triple room for two nights at this hotel by mistake and was contacted by the front desk to confirm a double, which I accepted without hesitation. We arrived at 8:20 PM and, once we entered the room, discovered that the air conditioning wasn't working. The manager informed us that the air conditioning doesn't turn on if the door or window is open, forcing us to remain locked in a stuffy room for an hour. Because he had "other things to do," we went downstairs several times, telling him it wasn't working, and he, annoyed, said, "Okay, let me fix this, otherwise." They had no other rooms available except two to clean, leaving us to suffer in a room that felt like 40 degrees Celsius. We suggested cleaning one of the two. After hours of waiting, we decided to take a shower anyway so as not to further ruin the evening. We left the hotel at 11 PM, missing our 9:30 PM restaurant reservation and ending up eating a piadina on the street. After the evening, we returned at 4 AM and finally changed rooms. However, in the new room, the sink had a broken filter—calcium, I don't know, but it splashed water everywhere, and brushing our teeth or face felt like we were at a Riccione water park, but we overlooked that issue. The next day, after a day at the beach, we returned to the hotel at 7:30 PM to shower. When I turned on the faucet, I was hit by boiling water, and the shower head came loose. It was broken, and it fell on my foot, cutting me. We called the front desk, and the manager responded sarcastically, telling us to go to Lourdes or something along those lines, claiming that we weren't at the Palace Hotel and that it wasn't his fault if we decided to shower at 7:30 PM (which apparently was too late for him to shower). I should point out that even a zero-star hotel shouldn't lack basic amenities like water and air conditioning. We had two rooms, neither of which were functional. I went downstairs to argue with the manager, who was extremely rude and yelled in my face. Of course, I reciprocated. The only silver lining was a blonde staff member who was mortified and incredibly kind. After this inconvenience, two hours passed, and they came to replace the shower head. I dried my hair and the hose on the 1950s hairdryer came off because it was obviously burned out. Despite all this, we weren't even offered a refund for this disastrous experience. Two days at the beach to relax, two days in which we couldn't. Avoid this hotel at all costs."

"We stayed in Hotel Riviera for the IronMan 2024. This hotel is about 20/25 mins walk to the IronMan village so can be tricky with equipment on race day, but it is still very manageable, especially if not travelling alone (I had family with me). I don't often leave reviews but really felt the urge to call out just how great this hotel is. It has no pool but that's not an issue as it literally opens onto a quiet part of the beach. The breakfast is basic continental but very good, fresh & tasty. We got a suite with no balcony which meant the floor space was larger that other rooms so that was great for my equipment. The bed was very comfortable and fresh. The main advantages this hotel has are its incredibly warm and helpful staff and the hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. Every member of the staff literally cannot do enough for you, down to the point of providing us with an early breakfast on our check out day as we needed to hit the road at 6am. Nothing was an issue, we were made feel incredibly welcome from the minute we arrived. This hotel is located a short 15min walk from busy areas of Milano Marittima & Cervia, both busy hubs with bars and restaurants. I have stayed in other hotels with higher star ratings that would be no match to Hotel Riviera. I am planning on returning for IronMan 2025 and am already looking forward to staying here again. Thank you Hotel Riviera, you are all wonderful!"

"The Hotel Doge represents the quintessential ‘Romagnola experience’. Here you will find the attentive and very friendly service that is a gift of the hôtellerie tradition of this land. The personnel is all well prepared, with exquisite manners, and always happy to provide suggestions and go out of their ways to make you happy. The bedroom are comfortable and clean, the restaurant and bar are top notch with a buffet breakfast that can cater for all tastes, including that of international guests. The wine list is extremely well curated and features many local IGTS and DOCGS. The seaside service was excellent too! "Very bad experience to say the least, I think there are better 2 star hotels, the worst hotel I have ever visited... I would never have expected it from the Batani group!! Room assigned to us on the 5th attic floor with the impossibility of bathing standing up due to the inclination of the roof (overlooking the ruined enamelling of the tub), climate in the room non-existent in the sense that it only works as a fan (they tell us it is a technical problem with our room, too bad our neighbor called his room TOO HOT!!), I didn't even feel the climate working in the breakfast area!! Another gem..... bathroom without a fan but equipped with a small rectangular window which, once opened, has access to the corridor (speechless) ONLY POSITIVE NOTE THE UNDERGROUND GARAGE... I can't understand today how the stars of a hotel are assigned hotel, I would call this EMBARRASSING!!!"

"The best stay we've ever had in Romagna! The structure is beautifully decorated, super organized, and extremely clean. The cleaning service is VERY efficient. The position of the hotel is perfect! The hotel staff are professional, kind, and very organized. They pay close attention to every detail and go out of their way to please their hotel guests. Great breakfast, which is served by the staff to the hotel guests. There is no confusion with self-service, which is often the case in other hotels, and can often become messy and disorganized. A VERY wise and hygienic choice by the hotel management, which I highly appreciated. The food is fresh, handled carefully, and very good, with an abundance of choices (hot, cold, sweet, and salty, fruits, etc)! Bravo to them for doing this!! It was quite welcoming and the same experience as being served at a restaurant. The upstairs restaurant was very organized as well but we chose to dine there only twice for lunch and dinner. The food was very good!! We didn’t choose the complete package with meals included because we wanted to dine around the town. However, if anyone considers the option of a complete package, you will not regret it. The location is PERFECT as it is in the middle with a very short walking distance to the Cervia Port and the center of Milano Marittima. You can choose to walk the “lungo mare” to reach each area. One couldn’t ask for a better location! Also, the hotel is directly in front of the beach, and the Oreste Bagno (super restaurant and the cleanest beach I’ve had the pleasure to enjoy). I highly recommend planning your next summer vacation in this beautiful hotel because you also don’t want to miss the best swimming pool in town. I have never frequented a swimming pool with lavender fragranced water. A lovely touch indeed. There’s a spa also!! We will be back there next year for sure!!! Thank you HOTEL BRASIL!!"
