I hardly ever write reviews but feel compelled to do it given the struggling economy in Greece (& everywhere) and the need for businesses to be highlighted when possible. I'm Greek and travel back as regularly as possible (post pandemic) and hardly ever stay at hotels unless we're visiting friends or relatives for 1-2 nights. We usually rent an apartment or house for a few week. We went to the Eastern part of Crete but wanted to visit friends in Chania (on the western end) so booked a room at the Ciel Collection Suites. I just wanted a clean, comfortable place, and this was definitely a great choice! They close the front desk at 3PM and there was some confusion when we got there later, but finally figured out how to reach someone and they came right over to let us in. Other than that, it couldn't have been smoother. The staff were gracious and welcoming, and the room, while small, was perfect. We didn't spend much time in it, so it had everything we needed, including a coffee maker and coffee for me, as an early riser. My only suggestion is they should post a phone number on the front door as to how to reach staff if the front desk is closed, given how early they close. We will definitely consider using the again if we visit short-term in Chania.
