Hotel Joyce

Good neat and clean hotel room. Value for money. It was a solo stay, location wise very much accessible to everywhere

It is situated within one km or so from chennai central. A cozy and friendly atmosphere that i enjoyed there. Also a budget hotel.

The hotel joyce is not very to give rating, staff behaviour is not good, they have not given me bill yet, they asked send the bill in my email but i am still waiting i rated them - 2

I took a single standard non-ac room for one night and checked in at 10 in the night. It's about 20 minutes walk from chennai central railway station. The location is average, on a cross road about 100 m away from the main road. I didn't check or try for restaurant or any other amenities in this hotel. What i didn't like: 1. The front desk person and the attender that shows you the room allotted to you are zero-courteous. They behave as though they are giving you the room free of cost. You would never want to take such hotels in future after you encounter such people. 2. From the first look of the room, the impression was bad. You basically don't get a good feel. 3. They allotted a room where one of the window panes was smashed. I asked for a change fearing mosquitoes but the attender made faces before allowing another room. 4. I asked the front-desk person for mosquito coils but the attender who was acting like his boss told him in tamil to not give me the same and to buy it from outside thinking i can't understand their language. 5. The room had no table, blankets, towels or anything except one small medimix soap that they gave me when i checked in. What i liked: 1. The bathroom though was very small but it was clean. 2. I could get hot water from the tap to bathe in the morning. 3. I was apprehensive of mosquitoes reading some reviews but luckily there were no mosquitoes.

Bad... they refused to provide the room,after a lot of talk they did provide but without amenities the room was unclean, Tv wasn't working, the bathroom wasn't clean. had to pay extra to move to a different room which was better. booking was of no use.

Hotel accommodation is ok, nice arrangements, rooms were clean and safe, but surrounding area is average

No housekeeping of room, was done for 3 days even it was asked to do it. No drinking water facility for each floor

It was a good stay. But they don’t provide clean drinking water. Which is a primary duty of any hotel. Hotel was clean

Really subpar experience. Frequent power cuts with no backup, lift rarely working, the staff were well mannered but the reception had no idea about the booking.
