We decided to try out this hotel for 2 nights by pre-booking it. Since we requested twin beds, we were allotted Room No.410. On the whole, the room and the washroom had no visible issues. It was quite spacious, neat and clean. However, the major glitch which we faced during our stay, was the showering enclosure in the washroom, which one did not realize while checking in, until it was bath time. The main problem was that the shower enclosure door opens inwards into the shower area. But the shower area is too tiny and small. The entry and exit into the shower is blocked by the tap, making it impossible to step inside and open and close the door. I don't know about others, but it is impossible for an obese person to go inside, close the shower enclosure door, stand and finally open the door inwards again to come out. If in case, one somehow performed stunts and managed to slide inside and close the shower door, the only way for obese people like me to come out of the shower enclosure after your bath, is perhaps to break it down or stay trapped inside till help arrives. As a result of this major designing defect, one has to shower with the enclosure door open. And by doing so, the shower water invariably flows down onto the bathroom room floor outside making it puddled and prone to slippages & falls, if one is not careful. The water on the bathroom floor doesn't flow down the drain easily, perhaps due to improper sloping of the drainage outlet, next to the commode. In fact, my aged mother aged 72 almost slipped and fell because of this stagnant water, long after we had showered in the morning. I am damn sure that the hotel management is very much aware of this problem, but still purposely allotted this room to us for monetary benefit. I challenge anyone from the hotel management to step inside the shower enclosure, close the door from inside, then open it and come out. My only advice to them is that they need to take this review very seriously and dismantle the shower enclosure door or at least ensure that it opens outwards. Next, they must improve the slope of the bathroom floor to make sure that water doesn't stay puddled outside the shower area. If not possible, then please avoid allotting this room to overweight guests. Meanwhile, future guests like myself, please feel free to stay in Room No. 410, as long as you don't plan on taking a shower during the entire duration of your stay. I suggest to guests that they must first check out the shower enclosure door by physically opening and closing it before checking in. I am just sharing my experience for you to make an informed decision. Otherwise, the rest of our stay was hospitable and pleasant. The staff was courteous, polite and prompt. The complimentary breakfast was also very good. Except for the above highlighted issue, the rest of our stay was fine.
