Xianggeyuan Shangju Inn is my most memorable stay in Shangri-La. The pure Tibetan style of the inn is lingering, and every detail shows a deep cultural heritage. What moved me more was the warm service of the staff. They not only provided intimate reception, but also shared many interesting stories and travel advice about Shangri-La. Here, I not only felt the warmth of the inn, but also experienced the magnificent scenery of this plateau. The snow-capped mountains, blue sky and quiet grass outside the window made me deeply intoxicated by the beauty of Shangri-La. Xianggeyuan Shangju Inn is highly recommended, and I hope more people can experience this unique Tibetan style.

We arrived and they upgrade us to a modern style room when we actually booked this hotel for the rustic room we booked but they said that was full. The room they gave us was not cleaned from the previous guest cuz they forgot to clean it. So then they clean it in literally 10 mins to my opinion not enough time to properly clean and sanitize a room. We have asked in chinese some suggestions and help to organize a trip but the staff was not really helpful, barely replied to messages. They have helped us with breakfast making some eggs as otherwise it would be only chinese style breakfast. The location is good but not the best. Anyway you could arrive anywhere by walk. Overall a bit disappointed as for the price we paid we were expecting a bit better service.

Good location, very comfortable stay! The shopkeeper is also super nice. I felt sick very late, and the shopkeeper sent us medicine. When we left, because we were in a hurry, the shopkeeper helped us deliver two suitcases and a bunch of bags in time. There are also enthusiastic dogs and cats in the homestay, happy! It would be great if Xiaodu could connect to bluetooth hahaha

The hotel is in a good location on the edge of the ancient city, and parking is convenient. The price seems to be a bit high, but the consumption here is not cheap, so it is still acceptable. Overall, the hotel is good, but the only drawback is that the bathroom is a bit small.

Environment: It is very good to see the stars at night, the air is very fresh 🏠 Facilities: The decoration is not bad, there is no front desk 💁 Service: Especially good, contact in advance to help upgrade the room type, the whole process is very care for us, that is, the location is relatively biased, when leaving, the hotel will send it to the ancient city for dinner, Grandpa also took us on a horse ride. The hotel is in a good location at the north gate, not far from Guishan Park. The balcony has a very nice view. There is an underground parking lot but no elevator. Tian Jing has a very good service attitude and will take the initiative to help with luggage. Very cost-effective, recommended

When I first met the boss, I thought he was a scam because he was so enthusiastic. But he was really considerate and upgraded the room for me and my family. I really didn't expect it. The hotel is at the foot of Shika Snow Mountain. There are many cows grazing leisurely. The hotel has two very handsome and friendly dogs, but they hate cows. As long as they find cows sneaking into the yard, they will bravely drive them away. The hotel is a wooden house structure that is very close to nature. The floor heating is very hot and the water is very hot! Don't believe those comments that the water is not hot!

The best hotel in this trip, the ranch hotel has 5 rooms, all of which are built by the boss.
The hotel is located in the Dara Ranch, hidden in the pastoral, the surrounding environment is quiet and enjoy the beauty of the pastoral.
The breakfast is more exquisite, the dinner is a classic yak beef hot pot, the taste is very 👍🏻, the beef yak is soft and delicious, and the amount is enough!
The hotel owner and friends are hospitable, friendly, and recommend delicious and fun places. The boss recommended a 2-kilometer ranch horse riding, the scenery is great, and the children are also very happy.
The hotel has four cute big dogs, and the children like it very much. The dogs are very sensible, play with the guests outside the room, never step into the room one step 👍🏻

Facilities: The TV is super large, 85 inches. The bed is very big. , it is not crowded at all for four people. The facilities are very new. It also comes with a very beautiful little teacup. Hygiene and toiletries are all available for us to choose based on our preferences. 
Hygiene: Very clean, no stains at all. 
Environment: The room is full of comfort. The whole hotel has a British and French feel. It is very luxuriously decorated and has a high-end feel at first glance. 
Service: There will be a butler service who will contact you in advance and can basically be on call even at night. There will be cakes and tea to welcome you when you arrive, and you will also receive welcome fruits and sweet soup when you arrive in the room. You can also help with washing and drying clothes. This is really the ultimate service.
Personally, I think it’s really good and can be used without any thought. Will give you a very good experience. And it's not far from the ancient city. It takes about 10 minutes to walk. It's very convenient and you can go out for a walk in the evening.

Environment: The rooms in the B&B are spacious and very clean. The door to the room is a swipe card, the floor is warm, and there is dry and wet separation. The overall stay is very comfortable. In addition, the location is also very good. It is very close to Dukezong Ancient City and Guishan Park. It can be reached by walking in about ten minutes.
Service: The friends in the B&B are very nice and enthusiastic. Contacted us in advance to ask if we needed to be picked up. Finally, they sent us to the next B&B. The friends helped us with our luggage and carefully taught us how to turn on and off the floor heating and air conditioning. We returned to the B&B very late in the evening, but no matter what time it was, the guys on duty would bring fresh fruit to the room.

OOlive GohThis is essentially an inn that is plush in some renovation details but severely lacks warmth. The entire reception and dining area is frigidly cold. Checking into the room, it was so icy we couldn't even take a rest in it. As we headed out to get a late lunch, we asked the lady if they had portable heaters for the night. She said she had just turned on the floor heating and the room should be warmer when we get back. When we returned about 3 hours later, it was still uncomfortably chilly as cold air was seeping through the gap under the door and gliding along the marble flooring into the timber floor where the underlay heating was. The whole design is just wrong and unsuitable for the climate.
The disposable towels are a joke! Imagine being in a cold room and having to dry off with a thin piece of paper towel the size of an A3 paper. Everything was damp and soggy including myself. Luckily we were given proper towels the next day after we asked.
The first day experience was so bad we were considering leaving the next day. However, we know the innkeeper and family are trying their best and it's not so bad once the room warmed up.
A few improvements would really help especially during the winter months:
1. Floor heating must be turned on at least 6 hours before guests check in.
2. Proper bath towels are essential.
3. A thick rug on the marble floor from the door to the timber floor.
4. Try to keep the common space warm (might be difficult given the huge double volume space).

Sure enough, there is no seller’s show or buyer’s show. It can be said that the pictures are not as beautiful as the real scene! The two bosses are very down-to-earth people. It can be said that they are working very hard on this B&B. Unfortunately, they don’t know how to market it and have too little exposure. But consumers must tell the truth. It’s really great. The food, accommodation and transportation services are not even mentioned! I met many like-minded friends here. It was a very happy trip. I will come again if I have the opportunity!

Guesthouse is located in a busy main road and short walking distance into ancient town.
Staffs were helpful & friendy. There are some minor issues within the rooms, but they were quick enough to resolve it.
All rooms was clean and spacious for 2. The room supplied oxygen all the day and heating floor is another plus.
Breakfast was the same during our stay.

Hygiene: It's very clean. It's very comfortable when you enter the room. I like it overall.
Environment: The location in the ancient city is really good. We walked for 5 minutes from Sifang Street. It was very convenient to visit the ancient city. The most important thing is that the second floor has a perfect view. You can see the Grand Theater, prayer wheels, and Duke Zonghua Lane (because it is right there (Later) I won’t go into the picture directly, but I recommend it.
Service: The boss and the lady boss are very nice and considerate. The travel guide provided by the lady boss is really useful and very worry-free❤️. I don’t think I need to do any homework.

The room I was staying in was nice and cozy. In the day time I could soak in sunlight while looking out on the mountains, at night time I got warm from the AC and warm blankets. In the common room they also have a traditional fire oven where you can sit at get warm while trying some of their local foods and chit chat.
Just staying in this nice environment made the trip so amazing. I hope I can come back soon again.

Owner couple went out of their way to serve guests. They cooked the best meal in the area so no need to find food elsewhere.
They arranged transport for us to go to Shangrila, Lijian Airport and the hiking trails.
We were also invited to a wedding party in the Village high up i the mountain. Joyous celebration of dance and song with the whole village.
our last day was the special day where the villagers slaughter their own pigs to make preserved meat. We were again invited to the farms high up in the mountain and had a most unique experience of live pig slaughtering and BBQ. No tour will ever offer this.
As hotel, the accommodation is excellent for the price. Our room overlooks the gorge and mountain. The heated bed is great touch and comfort.
Can see stars in the sky at night from the room balcony.
Family run and treat guests like family. Highly recommended.
