If you love a good beach this is NOT it! The sand is white but the ocean itself is disgusting. There is seaweed everywhere and you cannot see anything under water it is so murky. They have barriers up to try and catch the seaweed but it is so bad it is not swimable. They cannot control the environment but there are nicer locations. The staff in the lounge at the Sun Club are amazing! Our first night we were on the 3rd floor and the air conditioning would not bring down the temp below 26 degrees. I was so hot all night I woke up VERY ill. They kindly switched our room to the 1st floor pool access and the room was beautiful and cool ! The staff at the bar on the adults only pool were also amazing and the entertainers were amazing on the adults only side. The food was good at the buffet but there is no air conditioning inside and it is HOT (mind you it is September) But it is not comfortable for eating. There are only a handful of good servers in the restaurants. Chopsticks was amazing! Tiki Taco the food was good the service terrible. There is a free bus to take you to a ”market” trust me don't go! There is a market that is better and more fun to experience down the road where you can barter it's a 3 minute walk maximum. The one they take you to is a bigger version of the shop they have on the resort. Which is way over priced! The locals at the market are desperate and you just need to be firm and know the value of the item. For example sunglasses at the shop on the resort were 20-30 USD for nothing special. At the market they start at the same price but you can work them down. Do NOT buy excursions from anyone wondering around! Book only in the main lobby! The Pina Coladas are excellent but remember coconut is a natural laxative so limt yourself! DO NOT USE TAP WATER FOR DRINKING! The resort I gave 3 stars because of the restaurant service and the horrible location on the ocean. If it was somewhere else it would be better. Also the Al La Cartes are not open everyday which is a let down.

Excellent service and very beautiful hotel

Adonis, Pablo and Andres and the whole staff were great. The ambience was so peaceful. The food was amzimg. I ordered the red snapper and my girlfriend got the waygu steak. She kept asking for the recipe and said it was the best she ever had. Everybody was very respectful and mindful of space as well and were there whenever we needed them. Will dor sure be back before we depart.

I was pleasantly surprised with the family, friendly atmosphere. Our first dinner we where greeted by a very friendly Mr Esequiel. He took our orders, gave recommendations to some of the foods and drinks that we might like and even helped me find a great place to propose to my future wife. Mr Esequiel’s daily, professional, kindness and warmth was something that myself and my fiancé looked forward to whenever we had our wonderful meals, drinks and desserts and of course his fellow colleagues were just as helpful. We felt like we where coming to have a meal with family there. My fiancé Marley and I will most definitely come back and stay here at Four Points Puntacana again. It’s a good hotel to stay for couple of days also very friendly staff.
