We only visited the bar and did not stay overnight but I can honestly say we’ve never had such a welcome as we did there. There was a gang of us from North Wales staying local for my brothers 60th and decided to go out for the afternoon Aug bank holiday Sunday and boy were we glad we did. Seriously all the staff and locals could not go enough to welcome us and to ensure we had a great time. I. Met some lovely characters outside and learnt more about the local area. Ellie was amazing and allowed me access to the disabled toilet as I was struggling with a limb complaint. The pub was so busy as live music was on during the afternoon but we never waited long at the bar as they were so efficient. The beers was a fab pint and they even arranged taxis back for us all. It was lovely to have a brief chat with Jackie who again couldn’t have made us feel more welcome if she tried. Great afternoon of beer, laughter, chatter, horse racing, music……. What more could we have all asked for!!! Thank you all so much and fingers crossed we will be back to see you one day!!! 🤞

The hotel is very clean. In the morning, I went to the restaurant through the beautiful English garden. It felt very good. In addition to regular coffee and drinks, the breakfast was quite good. The front desk is so-so. It is about 5-6 stops by rail from the University of Sheffield. It feels a little bit remote. There is a large supermarket/parking lot nearby. From the station, pass the supermarket back to the hotel. There were some fast food a few hundred meters behind the hotel, but we did not go.

I stayed here whilst in Sheffield last month. Although it was cheap and cheerful it had everything I needed. It was clean and there was food available for breakfast which I did not expect. I got very chatty with one of the staff and he was brilliant to talk to. Would definitely use again if in Sheffield.

Easy check in. The place is quirky and modern. Small basic room with en-suite. The whole place was very clean. I believe it was originally a student halls of residence. There’s no kettle in your room but it does have a tv. 24 hr cafe on site. Limited parking, but plenty of street parking nearby. Breakfast was chocolate croissants and tea/coffee. All in all would highly recommend if you just need somewhere to sleep. The price is great, the place is clean, 5mins in a taxi to busy bars in town. What’s not to like. 👍👍👍

Very comfortable stay, spotlessly clean and a very comfortable bed. Bath robes are a nice touch. Tea, coffee, fresh milk and biscuits which you can top up from stations on each corridor. Breakfast was very good.

The Rutland Hotel is conveniently located near to the University of Sheffield. Single rooms are not the best however double room are quite nice having a traditional feeling. However both kind of rooms are newly decorated so the rooms and bathrooms are quite nice. The breakfast is good as they prepare made to order eggs, hash browns,mushrooms and tomatos. Overall I like it and will plan to stay again.

The hotel is superb. I booked two super nice restaurants for my friends and myself. The restaurants are also white and very romantic, with small and artistic rooms. The bathrooms are very large. The staying experience is very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended. Live
