Good reviews, must be good reviews, five-star reviews.
We are three people, and we booked a triple room. The room is large, with two beds, and the room is very warm and clean. There is also a Chinese housekeeper, and the Chinese communication is completely ok. Every morning, there is a special driver to take us to the pier, and pick us up in the afternoon. When we go to town at night, a driver will also be arranged to pick us up. It is not far from the town, and it only takes more than ten minutes to drive there. After we checked out on the last day, we left our luggage at the homestay, but the housekeeper still arranged a driver to pick us up at the homestay to pick up our luggage, and then take us to town. It was really nice, and I highly recommend it👍
Almost completed my 6N5D trip with my family of 4 with 2 teenagers. We had a great hospitality from the diving coaches but feel a great pity that the resort mgmt has wasted a great jewel and have not lived up to its luxurious potentials (maybe due to COVID and the resort had to furlough majority of the staff for over 5 months within the last 2 years and it has yet to recover). First, I was impressed with the photos seen on social media and decided to book this (supposed to be the BEST and most expensive resort near Sipadan) First, the jetty transfer in Semporna was smooth but there were plastic trash all over. If the company wants to portray a good image for international tourists, probably should first clean them up? Once arrived at Kapalai, the welcoming process was subpar. There was no receptionist welcoming us, and we were a bit lost. Since it is lunch time, we just straight dive into buffet lunch. Then, a staff clumsily come to offer a glass of diluted sugary orange juice and we were left there. After almost 1.5 hours, we were reached out by diving coaches about our program (the adults were taking advanced PADI open water, and the kids were taking junior PADI open water) Once we checked into the room, overall “hardware” appears nice, but after staying for 6 days some basic problems surface 1) No intercom/phone in the room - since we are at the far corner of the resort and it takes 10mins to walk to lobby, we sometimes need to call buggies. But we were only given a local phone number to call, and the mobile/cell reception is bad here 2) No proper shampoo and conditioner - for my ladies who have long hair, assuming this luxurious should have this basic provided but they don’t 3) Broken chair in the balcony and water dripping out from air condition unit In term of food at the restaurant, it was ok-ish but there are so many opportunities to let the tourists spent more. No wine, no ice cream and no a la cart ordering. The local store has limited daily necessities and it is essential to well prepared before coming. Lastly, for this type of resort, you will see the general manager walking around to ensure all are good in place. I have not seen it over 6 days and the receptionists all seems junior and lack of international experience/exposure to hosting well travel international guests. In term of diving experience, I can feel that the diving coaches and staff have done everything they can to put on a smiley face. My teenager girls have a GREAT experience on their junior open water (OW) experience (with Linda Ho, thank you!) but less so on the advanced open water. (AOW). I feel a bit rush on the AOW but don’t feel the knowledge has sunk in and that is a real pity. Something to be improved. Many of us really want to learn, rather than just get the AOW license in order to dive in Sipadan (need at least AOW to dive there). Have been diving around the world, I would say the diving experience is world class. Water is generally clear and Sipadan is truly
There are several fruit trees in the garden of the B&B with branches covered with branches, emitting bursts of fragrance. The boss told me that this place is called ”threshing”! I am very satisfied with the room. I would never have guessed that there is such a modern accommodation in Semporna town.
Breakfast is not bad! There are fried noodles with eggs, chicken sausages, and we also bought seafood for processing at noon. It tastes good!
Finally no need to wait for an hour at the pier restaurant!
It's quite comfortable here and the boss is nice!
Very Good

This is the second time I have come to Semporna. This time I brought a family of young and old to stay in this newly opened homestay. The house is simple and clean, and the kitchen utensils are complete. The backyard also has a washing machine so that we can wash the clothes... Great! The homestay is located in the town within a 5-minute walk and there are supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies, etc... but the caring boss also provides a fixed shuttle bus to the dock area to avoid rushing in the morning! Because there are fewer tourists at the time of arrival, seafood is much cheaper than in peak season, so we cook by ourselves every day in the hotel. Semporna's fresh seafood paired with hometown taste really feels like home abroad!
LTH (Little Turtle's Home) provides flawless service and all the necessary facilities for visitors. To facilitate your arrival and departure, you can pre-book airport transfer services prior to checking in.When arriving by car, take advantage of the hotel's convenient on-site parking facilities. The hotel's daily housekeeping ensures an excellent option for your stay.In order to ensure the utmost level of relaxation, the guestrooms feature an inviting design and are equipped with all basic necessities, creating a delightful stay experience. To ensure your satisfaction, certain rooms in the hotel come fitted with air conditioning for a more pleasant stay. Start your day stress-free at LTH (Little Turtle's Home) as breakfast is made available for you on the premises.
3 bedrooms are available, 4 double beds and 1 single bed; can accommodate 7 people, the air conditioner and water heater are normal, the front desk will give you the air conditioner when you check in (deposit 100), and it will be refunded when you check out. Downstairs is the restaurant, and there are resident singers at night (until around 11 p.m.), which is a bit noisy. The microwave, oven, and water dispenser in the room can be used; the Gree air conditioner is very powerful? Will not feel hot. Yantai is very big, you can directly see the scenery downstairs, don't smoke in the room, you can smoke in Yantai. Fat Ma's seafood is so-so. It takes a few minutes to walk to Nanhai Fishing Village, where the price is very high. There will be a queue at mealtime. Note: the door of the hotel apartment is on the right side of Zhan Quanji by the sea. There are a bunch of children at the door who will help you carry things and ask for tips. Unless you really can’t carry them, don’t give a penny, because there will be a bunch of people around. In addition, the possibility of late check-out is not high.
It was my first time to experience a water house. The slide went directly into the sea. It was very interesting.
Service: The hotel's arrangements are in place and they can help you solve any problems you have. We booked a charter boat for snorkeling for two people. The instructor is also very professional and will dive to the bottom of the sea to help you catch the fish from the bottom of the sea.
Facilities: As soon as I entered the room, I couldn't wait to experience the slide. At first, I was worried that I would sink into the sea if I slid down. There are life jackets at the front desk, so there is no need to worry.
Free dinner: The dishes are very rich, the chicken is very tender, the crabs are also very fresh, there is crab roe in it, you can’t get enough of the shrimps

Outstanding
BBeng HockThe staff are always smiling, friendly, warm and courteous. They fulfilled our desire to do snorkeling twice in the morning and the night during our 2 day one-night stay. The host Joanne even showed us how the indigenous tribe that lives there and their way of living in stilt houses by shallow were amazing. Children as young as 7 years old have started to paddle a boat which they have handmade and repaired as well. The interior is fantastic with a bright yellow couch and a breezy balcony that is perfect for lazing around. The water is crystal clear and at night, it lights up into a lovely fairyland. The karaoke music is fun. They cooked live seafood and we loved it! The food is tasty and plentiful.
For $570, we stay in a beautiful water house, go snorkeling twice, free airport pick, free ferry to Larapan village and back to Tauwa Jetty, free meals from breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea time is worth it. Plus the bonus of taking photos on a glass boat was a remarkable memory
PLEASE TAKE NOTE FERRY BOARDING AT KJETTY TO LARAPAN is 2pm , so please book a flight to make it for the transport to go to the ferry from airport that takes an hour.
GGuest User[Environment] There are no other water houses around the water house to block the view, and it is very beautiful to take pictures. There are many corals under the water house, and many clownfish and fish schools are seen. There are only five rooms in the whole Pava, but the room is clean and well-equipped. There are water heaters, hair dryers, disposable toiletries, and you can take a hot shower immediately after getting on the water, and you don’t have to wait for the hair to dry naturally.
[Service] The service is very good and professional, and there is contact information in advance. Regarding the pick-up and drop-off, because we came from another water house, it is very close to Pava. After communicating with the landlord, the pick-up and drop-off was completed smoothly. Thank you🙏 The return trip also arrived at the pier smoothly. The landing pier is regular, and there is no situation where a group of black people grab clothes to help you take your luggage👍
[Food] The brother will set the tableware in advance and prepare meals on time so that we will not be hungry😁 There are shrimps, crabs and fish, all of which are delicious! Basically, we finished all our meals, and the drinks we drank were not super sweet soda🥹
👀I need to add that although the water house allows free snorkeling, you can go diving with a life jacket🦺, but you have to pay RM23/set for renting masks and snorkels, and the mouthpiece is not a new disposable mouthpiece. OS: The snorkeling equipment in other water houses is free to use, and I think charging extra will reduce the experience.
AAnonymous UserHygiene: Super clean, super quiet and safe, 10-20 minutes drive from town, with a special car to town or island hopping pier at a fixed time every day
Service: Breakfast is a fixed fried rice noodles, ham, milk, and bread slices every morning! The service attitude is still very good, and the boss lady is very responsible!
AAnonymous UserI don’t recommend choosing this hotel, the location is too remote. It is about 800 meters away from the lively area of the town and far away from convenience stores, laundries and restaurants, which is very inconvenient. Most dive shops are at the pier, about 1.2km away. It's not very far to walk there, but there are no sidewalks on the road and there are a lot of cars, so you have to walk in the mud next to the road, which makes it very dirty. There are also a lot of mosquitoes on the road.
The store has a car delivered to the pier every day, but the time and location are fixed. The dive shop I chose is not at the pier, so I didn't use it. I have seen several other hotels with similar prices before, some of which are more conveniently located and have in-room toilets.
The bathroom and toilet are shared and it is not convenient to go to the toilet at night. The toilet is quite dirty. The dirt on the toilet seat is so serious that it cannot be wiped off with paper towels. At the same time, there are many mosquitoes when going to the toilet. The water pressure in the shower is also very low, and there is no cold water if there are other people taking a shower nearby.
There is only one bed in the room and no other facilities. The hygiene situation is okay and the bed is relatively clean. There is a small balcony, but the balcony door is broken and cannot be opened. The only thing worth mentioning is that the bed is very comfortable, it seems to be a latex mattress.
In addition, my room was close to the outside and the window faced the road. People passing by the bus can see directly inside, and the noise is very loud. Every night I wear noise-canceling headphones to fall asleep.
JJi ChengOverall I enjoyed our stay in sky water villa. When I was booking I read the reviews also worried that they are a bit old, so that the houses might not be well maintained. But during my stay I feel like the houses are used but still in okay manner. The best thing for this hotel is that I think they have the best house reef, and you can see turtles at night from your balcany. I went snorkling a few times during my stay I saw quite a few clown fish aka nemo and many fishes and even a sea eel one day. They also provide “galss” kayak which you can watch sunset on it. And the best thing they offer is that the tours you book with the villa starts around 10 am, you can just get ready and wait in your room, and when the boat is here the staff will get you from your room, and you’ll finish the tour around 3-4 pm which is the afternoon tea time at the villa. Instead of in the town area you need wake up early and meet and wait at the jetty around 8:15 am . And power supply is stable just may be ocassion blackout but it would turn back on very soon. However I do think they need to clean their air con as the one in our room seems very dusty, we had to clean the filter ourselves, they were very dusty. And during the afternoon coz our villa faces the sunset direction the air con feels a bit not strong enough. And the aircon outer unit is installed right at the room’s wall so it’s a little bit noisy, I’d suggest why not just use a more powerful window unit instead. The food is so so, but it’s difficult to cater everyone’s preference for food. The hotel is not cheap and maybe not very cost effective compare to hotels in other places, but to be fair i think if you want to go to semporna, this might be a reasonable option as overall semporna and malaysia is very expensive for tourists. And i higly recommend to stay at least 2-3 nights instead of 1 night to fully enjoy and relax yourself.
GGuest UserFirst of all, I added the housekeeper on WeChat before I set off and asked about the preparations before checking in. The housekeeper was very enthusiastic and explained enthusiastically. This was really great. He helped us carry our luggage when we arrived at the hotel, and then recommended seafood to us, and showed us how to bargain for a cheaper price. It was really affordable, and the hotel could also process it, which only cost ten yuan. The housekeeper also explained the differences in island hopping and snorkeling depths one by one, which was great! The hotel overlooks the town’s pier, which is convenient for travel. If you are going to cross-island tours, it only takes ten minutes to walk to the pier. Before leaving, the little brother also sent us downstairs. The hotel also has an airport pick-up service, which is affordable. I will choose this hotel next time I go back. Another point is that the little brother speaks Chinese and there is no communication barrier. Hygiene: clean and tidy, Environment: The hotel entrance is the check-in point, the mosque, and there is a food festival downstairs on weekends, where you can try local food, Service: Not worse than a five-star hotel,
LLiudoufuSanitary: The room is very clean,
Service: The service attitude is good, you can send meals to the room, and you can pick up and drop off for the visitor center for free.
Facilities: complete facilities and large rooms.
Environment: Not far from the visitor center, about ten minutes by car, 2.6 kilometers walking, free pick -up and delivery is very intimate. It is very convenient to connect to WeChat. It is recommended to check in. The only disadvantage is that there is a mosque in the back, praying on time at 5:00 every day. This is Muslim custom, praying five times a day
GGuest UserBooked this Inn2 because I couldn’t see any commitments on Sipadan Inn 3 or 1. It was okay for overnight. The first time I stayed there, it was a normal small room with window facing the street. However, when I checked in again a week later I got a room in the middle without window, even though I booked the same queen room. The location is not great, Inn 3 and 1 are at better spots in the small seafront town, easier to reach than Inn 2. Among the three, Inn 3 is the newest and, after a visit, I noticed it has better rooms with better facilities. Had WiFi in room at Inn 2, the bed was very basic and sheets not crispy clean, the shower was okay as well as the air conditioning. Semporna is a tiny town with most places within walking distance, though the narrow, car-lined streets are not that clean or tidy to walk through, especially if you carry luggage. From what I heard from other travelers, very basic facilities wherever you stay, so lower your expectations then probably all good.
BBunga Damia TanSupposely they provide telephone in every room .. having difficulties to reach their receptionist .. This our 2nd time check in there ... no slipper in room. .. little bit disappointed with cleanliness of the room and under expectation their breakfast 🤭🤭
WWongRichardGood location near the Seafest jetty. Decent hotel with decent sized rooms. Nice sunset view from the room window.
However, the rooms are quite old and the air conditioner is not cold at all. Otherwise the shower water pressure is great. The breakfast buffet has limited options and the food is below average. The egg counter gives pre-cooked eggs instead of made-to-order
