We stayed at The Reef for 15 days this February. It is a very simple hotel, located in a strategic position, very convenient for reaching both the beach and the walking street. The breakfast is really the thing that amazed us the most! The dishes to choose from were all excellent, the choice was vast, and all the Mojo guys are really nice, always polite and attentive to the customer. However, our experience was not entirely positive regarding the room and especially the cleanliness. Our room was on the ground floor, spacious but still dark and without a balcony or windows to open, only two panes of glass overlooking a forest that was practically a landfill, with plastic bags, broken tables thrown away and other rubbish . Even the bathroom wasn't the best, dark and a little neglected, but, in my opinion, everything fits on vacation, except for one thing: the lack of cleanliness! The ”make up the room” consisted in changing the towels (which were only one each, to be used for everything, from the shower to the face the following morning), bottles of water in the fridge (much appreciated) and placing the sheets on the bed . End. In the whole stay, the sheets were changed only once, after that, seeing that in 7 days we always had the same stained sheets, we left a note with the cleaning lady (and it was the first and last sheet change). Sand, dust and other dirt were always present on the floor, behind the bathroom door and in every corner of the room. The bathroom mat outside the shower, after days, now soaked and full of sand, was not changed, and even there we had to leave a note written, and once changed, it remained the same until the end of the holiday. We are not very demanding, we adapt to the various situations that arise, but honestly we were very disappointed by the poor cleaning and care of the room, especially having high expectations having read excellent reviews.

Although our vacation was filled with joy and memorable moments, I must mention the only downside we encountered. The lack of sufficient lighting outside at night posed a safety hazard, as my wife unfortunately tripped and hurt her ankle. However, it is worth noting that the resort staff responded swiftly and provided immediate assistance, ensuring she received the necessary care. While this incident was unfortunate, it did not overshadow the overall fantastic experience we had at Irene Resort. In conclusion, our vacation at Irene Resort in Koh Lipe was an extraordinary experience. The impeccable service, delectable cuisine, and the island's natural beauty left us with lasting memories. We highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a romantic and rejuvenating getaway. A really great experience staying in mountain resort koh lipe as it is my 1st time there...easy check in...nice and big room...nice view from the room..from the lobby you can access to the beach by going down the stairs and be greated by a very nice and clear water from the sea itself..and you can book directly from the hotel for your trip for island hopping at a reasonable price too..and they picked you up from the beach just in front of the hotel..they also provide shuttle service to the famous walking street of koh lipe in the evening starting from 6pm to 9pm..the only downside i can say is the rain shower...if the pressure of the water can be a little bit faster...it will be nice...

The views from each room are superb. For me, it is worth getting a superior room if in budget. The hill means it’s a long haul to get there if you have mobility issues but once there the view is outstanding both from the bed, and the balcony. The rooms are clean and well kept and the staff are very very helpful. The owner could not have done more for us! You can borrow snorkelling kit there, as well as kayaks. The beach is beautiful (if small) there, but 100 times better than the terrible view of a ‘boat park’ along the rest of sunrise beach. I would recommend without hesitation!!

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel on the beach and we were not disappointed with Cabana Lipe. Its a small hotel and there is no restaurant or pool (although they do have a kitchen and can knock up some tasty food and deliver it to your room I think) but there are lots of good reasons to stay here. It's on a lovely beach and the sea comes in right up to the wall of the hotel so you are only a few steps from the sea which I doubt many other hotels on Kho Lipe can offer. They provide beach towels and deliver a lovely breakfast every day to your balcony. Sunrise beach is wonderful and the hotel is situated close to one end so quite quiet and not busy with people walking past all day. Yes there are a lot of boats on the beach but that adds to the character and there is still plenty of room to swim. The beach itself is long and if you walk right to the other end it is very quiet with no boats and picturesque with a really cool bar at Zodiac resort with lovely views out over the sea. If you walk out the back of the hotel it's a bit scruffy but don't let that put you off it's nice to be close to where the locals live and within a few metres you reach the road and can turn night past lots of restaurants (there is a good and cheap supermarket within 3 minutes walk) and a couple of hundred metres later you can turn left at the 7 supermarket into walking street with all of the shops bars and restaurants you need. We stayed at Akira Lipe for a few days after leaving Cabana Lipe on Pattaya beach which was quite luxurious (but more expensive) and the sand there is lovely and soft and white but we really enjoyed our stay and Surise Beach which we prefered to Pattaya it's brilliant and for the money paid we would certainly recommend Cabana Lipe. By the way the people who run it are really nice they can't do enough for you. Thanks Cabana Lipe for a memorable stay.

Breakfast choice is still more, the hotel is located in sunrise, we live in the breeze room in the middle of the second row has a small slit to see the beach, probably the breeze is the meaning, the hotel walks to the pedestrian street will pass the locals' accommodation area, garbage disposal is not Too bad in time. The room is a separate one, the privacy is OK, the bathroom is too big, the water is too small, and the bath needs to be washed for a long time. In general, it is still possible.

We were two couples staying here and we are very happy with the bungalows at this hotel. The hotel was located in a calm area , but close to the beach and restaurants. A very good variety breakfast and friendly personnel. They helped us with pickup of our luggage from the other hotel and also with the transfer of luggage to the speedboat dock.

All the excellent reviews were spot on, Anna and the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Rooms were nice sized with a cool outside shower bathroom built onto the rear of each apartment. We noticed some reviews stating that the mosquitos can be a problem in the bathroom at dusk - tip get the mosquito incense candles from 7/11 and burn one before shower time done the trick for us :) Location was perfect with a great tip from staff to visit beaches and local bars and restaurants. Highly recommend.

Stayed for 2 nights while we were in Langkawi. Came over on the ferry/speedboat. We stayed in a beachfront villa with great views of the beach and crystal clear waters. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. We also organised a snorkelling trip with the hotel which left from the beach outside. The snorkelling was superb and thoroughly recommend. The hotel is kept clean with reusable water bottles, towels, flip/flops and beach bag. Great touch. Loved our stay here.

There is basically no hot water, there are no choices for breakfast, and the room facilities are relatively basic, compared to hotels in China that cost tens of dollars a night. The location is also relatively remote. The advantage is that it is three minutes away from Pattaya Beach. There are many small crabs on the beach. There is a small plank road next to the beach, which is very beautiful for taking pictures.
