This is a very good hotel. The rooms are spacious with their own kitchen equipment and can be cooked by themselves, making them feel warm. The fly in the ointment is not cleaning the room every day.
We stayed at this hotel for one night during our trip to Steamtown (which is amazing!). The hassle began right away when we were told at 4:30 that is would be a 45 minute wait to get into a room because there were no clean ones available. Once finally in the room it appeared fine other than a lot of chipped paint and very dirty windows. Later that night we discovered that there was only one working outlet in the room. Being the typical family with an 11 year old son we have a lot of things to charge so thank goodness I remembered to bring our multi usb charger. The next morning we additionally found that the fan in the bathroom did not work and the floor to the tub was very soft and spongy, making us wonder if the tub was installed wrong or the ”historic” floor was rotting away beneath us. Our ”comped” breakfast because of the long wait for our room did not cover the drinks, which we found out after we had already drunk them. The final straw was discovering in the light of day that the outlet problems in the room were because of a tangle of power strips pluggedinto one another had been switched off. My husband had to crawl under the night table to discover this and came back up with many hairs on his shirt. It is a beautiful building with lots of charm but most of that can be seen in the lobby for free without risking an electrical fire 3 inches from the bed. If you are going to charge people to stay there it comes with assumption of basic safety. This was our first experience in a Raddison hotel and we will for sure be staying at our usual Hilton hotels from now on.
Checking in was lovely because of Shawn. Clean. Walkable to Uni and restaurants. Price was high the weekend we stayed there for Scranton. Stay away from the rooms near the elevator. Remember that it is in the city; so, even on the highest floors you can hear road noise.
We could not even stay it was so gross, the smell, was horrific, trash of anything and everything was in the hallways not even in trash bags, tons of hair in the showers, hair in the bed microwave didn't work fridge didn't work. Tried for another room and it was worse off than the first. There is a sign hanging on their check-in window that you have 15 minutes to decide if you want to stay or leave, that was our heads up to check and then we left. So everyone's reviews on here PLEASE BELIEVE!!!!! They are not lying it is all truth!
I have been a frequent guest of this facility for many years. My son and I have visited here several times a month since he was a child. I have referred friends, colleagues and other family members here and all have been pleased and return frequently. If you are looking for a nice place to stay when you ride Lost Trails, or the O&W line, this is the most convenient place to stay. It is near food, gas and even a car wash to clean your machines after the ride. The staff is great. Keara is AWESOME and has been a great help with reservations and my go to person when we stay here. Kelly at the front desk was very helpful and offered to change my room to handicap accessible. Check-in was seamless. The rooms were quite spacious and very clean. We enjoyed the full vanity. Parking was easy. Breakfast was predictable though quite good. The hotel was a bit further from downtown Scranton than I would have liked, though it was not a problem. I would happily stay again.
We needed a place to sleep on our way to NYC. This hotel was directly off I81 and we have always had good experiences with Hampton Inn. The complimentary breakfast is always nice . The Hilton app allowed us to go directly to our room after 10 pm and open it via Bluetooth. Slick.

GGuest UserStared at this location while driving back home after spending a few weeks in Florida. This hotel is very well located near the I81 and surrounded by many shops, restaurants, gas stations and may more. The hotel and room was very clean and the breakfast was excellent. This is a hotel I would defenitely choose again when in the area.

SSara CThe hotel is currently undergoing a remodel. As a frequent guest, I have to admit it needed it. It was a relic from the 80s and now seems to be far more modern. Old obviously hotel print carpets are now replaced with a sleek modern marble tile in the lobby. They are operating without an official front desk as that is being remodeled too. The amenities are still available during the construction. The service is still friendly and accommodating. The staff all seem to be very excited about changes. I really have nothing bad to say about my experience. Maybe the parking is a little far. But only because the spaces close to the building fill up fast. I am in town often and stay at the days inn often because they are very responsibly priced. Now, with these new upgrades I feel like I am staying at a much higher end hotel.
