The Liberty Hotel is an older hotel located in the old downtown Cleburne just a block away from the court house on the square. Although it still has the look and charm of a very upscale victorian hotel it has been updated with newer features. The breakfast is your typical waffles, cereal, bagels, etc. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious. Bathrooms are the same with plenty of towels, soap and other toiletries. There usually are at least two complimentary bottles of water and a big, soft robe to sit back and relax. I absolutely love this hotel. My husband and I go there to just get away from the house. Not only is it close to antique shops, unique eating places, entertainment venues it is only 25 minutes away from the Brazos River and other interesting places. This hotel was exceptionally clean, as I’m sure most of it has to do with the fact that it relatively brand new. And the staff was cleaning continuously. The rooms are quiet and very comfortable! The bed and the pillows were the most comfy I’ve ever slept in and the room gets super dark when you pull the shades, even in the middle of the day. Our room had just a shower, it would’ve been nice to have a shower tub combo, but all in all I will give this room and hotel five stars! The location is ideal for shopping and restaurants close by. And also, it’s on the outskirts of Ft. Worth, so traffic isn’t too terrible getting around. Breakfast was good and had a decent selection, waffles, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, muffins, juice, and coffee. Negative: Pool was freezing! I thought for an indoor pool it would be heated…

Pool was out doors. Couldn’t get the hot water to work. Room was clean which is all I really needed for this trip.
