This was first night in Sri Lanka and it was extremely comfortable. It's in an excellent location in the heart of Colombo. The first thing that struck us were the artworks around the hotel. A very pleasant bar and restaurant area. Our room was very comfortable, with an amazing bathroom. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and we had a delicious breakfast. This is a lovely boutique hotel, in total contrast to the many impersonal chain hotels in the city.

This is a small, but welcoming hotel in central Columbo. This was our 3rd stay in a Taru hotel during our stay in Sri Lanka and we were very happy with our rooms and staff. We were met by Arun who greeted us with a warm welcome and helped us with all of our questions. He was attentive and enthusiastic at breakfast, happy to chat with us as we set out for a day of touring. I appreciated the kindness and attention Arun showed us.

We were looking for a boutique hotel that was well located and really lucked out. Right next to the Lake - and thus close to shops such as Paradise Road and other attractions such as Galle Face. Their restaurant food was incredible and worth a visit even if not staying. Very caring staff.

What a fantastic boutique hotel. The room was lovely, the hotel and especially the artwork was great. We had amazing cocktails- really interesting combinations and great service. The breakfast was very different to anywhere else we stayed. I had baked eggs with marmite soldiers which was delicious. The presentation of every aspect of our experience here was truly thought out. A great end to our holiday.

We stayed at the hotel our last day of the trip around Sri Lanka and it was the greatest option we chose. Rooms with comfortable bed and big bathroom with everything you need. About breakfast and dinner, the food was really tasty and they have a large menu to choose whatever you like most. The staff was kind and make us feel like home. They were always willing to help. A special mention to Arum: we had our flight at midnight when the check out was done, and he let us take a shower after a long day of tourism without asking for that. Every hotel need workers like him! Also thanks to the rest of the staff for making our stay comfortable. If we come back to Colombo, we will repeat this place.

Great hotel, really near the city center of Colombo. The hotel itself is beautifull, the rooms are quiet and with everything you expect of a hotel like this. The service is the best in town. They are always ready to help you, with bookings in restaurants or with anything you might need. Special thanks to Arun, that makes our last hours in Sri Lanka more confortable!! Food is also incredible!! Great menu!!

This is a hidden gem of a hotel tucked at the end of a lane way near central Colombo. There’s only about 12 rooms but they are recently renovated, clean and have a Spanish white walls and concrete look with dark timber furniture. Air Conditioning, elegant bathrooms and wifi. On top of this is some of the best food outside of a fine dining restaurant. You will want to include the breakfast in your room rate. We stayed twice in our trip to Sri Lanka at the beginning and end and both experiences were excellent. Will be telling all our friends about Tati Villas.

Wow, what an oasis amongst a busy city. The art, fresh flowers in our room, and superb meals made this one of our favorite places we stayed during our time in Sri Lanka. I highly recommend eating as many meals there as you can. Everything is made from scratch and so delicious! The location is superb and we enjoyed walking to many sites and wish that we could have stayed an extra couples nights at this elegant, hip hotel.

We spent 1 night here which allowed us to explore Colombo one day before flying home. An excellent location for walking to the malls and to Beira Lake if you are so inclined but no problem getting a TukTuk if needed. We would recommend a city walk to see the architectural legacy left by the British and Dutch. Only 45 minutes drive to the airport. Would stay here again when we come back to have an extra couple of days exploring the city. The room provided all we needed and for us was preferable to a big chain hotel.
